Great value for money, vast variety. They've made some shortcuts in quality of some specific items, but as an overall is very nice. Many options from Asian Mexican and Jamaican cuisine to choose from
Really nice atmosphere and excellent staff :) Massive choice of different foods which is great as you could eat healthy or have all your fave guilty pleasures all in one place. I was really impressed with the choice. Lots of different cakes also.
Staff were working really hard to keep everyone covid safe.
Lush place great food some seemed like it was from Tesco rather than the fresh advertised and the Mr whippy I love Mr whippy but there's is not so nice
Free buffet with food of all kinds and very well priced
Student discounts saves people. Amazing food, loved how cheap it was for all you can eat.
many foods on the lunch menu were blend.will not visit again.
A huge variety of food styles for you to sample or pig out on. All you can eat during your allocated time slot. Lunchtime is especially good value.
Absolutely fabulous! Like eating around the world under one roof! All you can eat, including desert's! Great service! More of them please around the UK!
Ace for optional choice on food when e everyone wants different, so much choice, staff were reserved but helpful when needed. Very busy but expected...I couldn't walk when I finished
Nice place, nice food. Very quiet when i went in so hard to judge atmosphere
An update to my review, for August 2020.
There's a lot of thought that's gone into Covid restrictions, one way systems, barriers, etc and some work, some do not.
You can no longer help yourself, though it remains an all-you-can-eat buffet. The servers are behind big screens and will dish out what you'd like, in generous portions. However: though there are pictures of the dishes, it's not quite the same to as seeing the food itself. Being given a good portion is also fine, but if you're the type of person that likes to sample a little of everything, then this will not enable you to do that as you'll be full really quickly. (Solution: let the server know you only want a little. Sounds simple until you try it though). Of course, this is a clever strategy as it means less people walking around and potentially less food waste.
Alas there are too many people milling around and the one way systems and in/out signs just don't work and are largely ignored. Also - some of the food is terribly bland to the point of being horrid. (The Chinese noodles remain excellent, BTW).
The staff are great, but this doesn't make for a great overall experience when the food has become so mediocre.
(My original review before Covid changes, below).
100% satisfaction.
I've been coming here for a while now and it just keeps getting better. There's a fantastic selection of food from around the world and the food is pretty darned good. It may not be >the best< but for an all-you-can eat, the offerings are very good indeed.
It's great to see the live cooking and the staff are always cheerful and happy for you to watch.
9/10 on a rating for fast food.
All you can eat.
What's more to say.
This place is for 100% battys, the workers are clearly all pagans I felt like a peasant in their presence
food is not bad the sever is bad and unfrendly and rudely.
Cheap and easy to get to, nice place with a lot of food
It's is not a buffet. They are serving you while sitting. You choose some dishes from the menu and they are bringing them to you.
The dishes were very small.
My visits to here are normally good but I wasn't happy this time. The receptionist was rude and not very friendly. The waiter disappeared never to return. The chef didn't appear friendly. And to top it off my partner got food poisoning from a curry :-(
Dishes were above average for a buffet however waiting staff were rushed off their feet and rude as a result
Incredibly choice of food but the Asian & Indian dishes are their specialty - very tasty! Pricing very reasonable for the lunch buffet too. Great stuff :)
I had the last sitting of the evening, no sushi left!!! Or maybe just not enough being made for the demand.
Good for larger groups and families. Food excellent and the choice wide and interesting.
Good place for family dinners. Everyone gets what they want hehe .
Great place food good just have to put up with the full belly
Truly bizarre but an absolutely incredible new experience, amazing value for money, all food from all vendors was fantastic.
Wish I was better prepared
Will definitely be back
I love this place is the first time I come to eat here and loved it, all fresh and variety, I'd love to have one near my house
Love Za Za Bazaar. There really is something for everyone. So much choice and you get 2 hours to eat as much as you want. They even have stations that cook certain things fresh right in front of you. You must come here!
Didn't think food was as goood as it used to be . We had an early sitting but food was over cooked. Prawns on several food stations were over cooked and tasteless . Rice was quite stodgy . If it wasn't for the staff not sure if I would go again.
The range of food is amazing but the system of time is bad
Really tasty food in good prices. Worth to go there when you are really hungry.
Amazing place and I enjoy my birthday there as well
Brilliant selection of food, and all you can eat for a competitive price. Great if you are in a hurry, or you can take your time and get your monies worth.
So much choice, something for everyone. Visited on a Saturday evening and was very busy. All food hot and fresh, friendly staff.
Can be very busy ..... it's.not for me but great for choice of food
This place has everything to offer. As stated foods from all around the world. Food is always lovely and presented great. Staff always try to accommodate everyone. Can at times become very busy and seems like hustle and bustle. Fair prices for what you receive. This place is really worth a visit when in Bristol. Highly recommended to try.
The food and choices are really great, but I have to note that the staff are unconcerned with your experience. The drinks take forever to arrive as they stand around on their phones. Besides the staff the other patrons were loud, obnoxious and greedy, no fault to the establishment, but I had to divulge.
Amazing food as always, absolutely love Za Za. We've been for brunch, lunch and dinner and all have been top notch aswell as the staff being welcoming and polite, cannot recommend enough.
Was able to book a table within half hour to attend restaurant clean and food lovely.but toilets let them.down with lots blocked and toilet flushes missing
Excellent choice of food in pleasant surroundings, well worth a visit
Food is great but there is no way to socially distance with so many kids running around. Didn't feel safe. Probs won't go back till after the pandemic.
Really enjoyed our visit, first time here and was astounded with the choice
Za Za Bazaar, Harbourside, Canon's Rd, Bristol BS1 5UH
Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions Za Za lost its appeal on my recent visit.
Staff worked extremely hard and it felt safe and it was still good value but of course you can no longer walk around and see the food cooking, it's brought to your table and ordered by number.
Nice bar with big screens for sports games, nice looking cocktails and nice beers. Above an amazing restaurant with an all you can eat concept for which you get 65 minutes. Very busy and is a kind of feeding shed with the kind of people you expect there. Good staff!
Lovely food, great choice and fab quality for what they charge especially on sunday
It's always too busy for my liking and mothers day was even worse. The tables are too close to the walk ways so you get bumped into or have drinks spilt on you. The poppadoms are vile, greasy and taste weird. The burgers and corn on the cob were also disgusting. I enjoy the Chinese section the most but would rather go to Cosmo as it's more civilised and has more variety.
Great place.staff very friendly.layout is a bit awkward
Nice eating experience. Lots of choice and very reasonably priced.
Terrible food. Like iceland/Farmfoods party food warmed up. The place is full of morbidly obese, screaming children during daylight hours and cidered up vomiting stag/hen parties where everyone is dressed like penises at night. The absolute worst ambiance in the city, but hey - it's all you can eat so get stuck in you greedy, greedy city.
Great variety, curry's are better than most restaurants. Fill up on Tarka Dahl and don't bother about leaving room for desert which is Za Za Bazaar's achilles heel
Great choices, from indian to chinese to European to mexican also good choice of desserts...the rice pudding is delicious!!
Had lunch in August. Food was okay. Not good quality so only come if you are like really hungry and wanna skip the next meal. Soft drinks should be included in the buffet.
Amazing food , lovely place , but the toilets Were dreadful and let the place down !!!
Even if half the restaurant is empty they try to squish you all into the front. They leave no tables inbetween groups even though there are over 50 tables further down. It stops me from thinking about going here a choosing another place because it is so uncomfortable.
This place is beyond excellent! Delicious and super tasty food, countless options from multiple cuisines, and a very reasonable price tag. Staff is amiable and their manager easily approachable. Fish Amritsari from the Indian section and More
Love this place. Fantastic seletion of food. Great location.
OK food not as good as it used to be felt like a sardine no room very cramped
Excellent food
.
A nice place to eat with a large range of foods to try. It's a buffet style all you can eat restaurant, with a buzzing atmosphere.
Unless you have a coupon/discount and go off peak it's very expensive. Overheard the staff firstly moaning about the pay and conditions, then comparing who had the fattest customer that week. Sat next to a fire escape, WHICH WAS LOCKED, so a death trap waiting to happen.
