The employees are very friendly and professional. Because of Covid19 I couldn t take a tour, however, the exercise areas and pool that were visible were clean. I appreciate that they sent photos of Chance playing with other dogs and having a great time during his morning activity.

I would highly recommend Yuppie Dog for a doggie daycare and boarding.

I love Yuppie for my baby Yoshi! He's been going to Yuppie for over 2 years now and I wouldn't send him anywhere else. Sometimes my travel plans change and the staff adjusts quickly for us. Yoshi is my precious baby and I feel safe every time I leave him at Yuppie. You guys are God sent and I'm happy to have found you. :)

We have a pit bull mixed breed dog acquired from a local shelter. The shelter, knowing our dog very well, suggested Yuppie Dog for boarding. Mary was very good evaluating him for daycare and boarding. She impressed me as being very knowledgeable about dog behavior. Long story short, we boarded him for several days and he came home happy and not at all stressed, unlike our experiences with other dogs at other kennels. The dog will tell you that he had a bad or stressful experience, and in this case, he had a good experience. I absolutely recommend Yuppie Dog.

We've used Yuppie Dog to board our dogs when we visit family in Houston. In addition to reasonable pricing, the facilities are clean and the staff is professional.

The younger dog LOVES his activity time. He's very energetic and needs the action. Sometimes he's put with the puppies so everyone gets a good workout.

Our 13y/o Golden Retriever gets the senior dog treatment. Slow walks, meds administered and lots of love which he adores.

I highly recommend Yuppie Dog. We will be boarding our fur babies with them when we are in Houston.

Checkers loves going to Yuppie Dog. She has made many friends while playing and gets excited when I tell her we are going to yuppie . She has learned the word! She also likes the care takers. They treat her with kindness! When she gets home she is so relaxed and happy which makes me happy too.

Mixed. We tried Yuppie Dog because of all the great reviews. The trial day was wonderful - they were friendly and welcoming. My dog seemed happy when I picked him up. Our first paid day was the opposite. We were greeted harshly and innocently broke several rules as we happily entered. For example - When we entered we passed close to a dog that was inside and near the door. mine sniffed the other from about 12 inches away and the manager aggressively reminded me that dogs can t go near each other in the lobby - a rule I was hearing the first time. I thought all the dogs were socialized and they both were on short leashes and well controlled. Neither dog reacted to the other. In any case it went down from there - now that we were paying customers the friendly greetings were gone replaced with nasty dictations. It was like we entered a different place. My normally wonderfully happy and friendly dog apparently sensed something was amiss as he soon cowered with ears back and tail between his legs. Given the facility is not the nicest we decided to enroll elsewhere.

Today was my dogs first day and everything went great! The staff was very friendly, attentive and knowlegable...I am very happy with the experience. My dog left tail wagging and very happy, then once we got home was relaxed and de-energized. Just what I was hoping for :-)

I have been taking my Lab here for 3 years, 1-3 times a week. The staff is very friendly and caring. They obviously love my pup - he can't wait to get out of the car when we arrive, and they all know him by name and welcome him. He is always happy and ready for a nap in the car when I pick him up. They have plenty of space indoor and out for the dogs to roam, especially compared to other daycares in the Houston area. The location is very convenient. I work downtown and it's a quick stop off of I-10 to drop him off. It's also great that they don't require a reservation for daycare, so if my schedule changes, I can decide last minute to take him or not take him. I treat my dog like my child, and I would recommend this daycare to anyone.

Yuppie Dog has been a wonderful place to send our pup for nearly eight years. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, they know us when we walk in, and we are confident our dog is safe and loved here. On occasion we ve tried other daycares to have options, only to be disappointed in client service or sub-par care resulting in injury. We are very grateful to have a safe and well run daycare to which to send our sweet girl. Thank you all!!

My dog suffered severely burned paw pads resulting from her stay with Yuppie Dog. Below is the email sent to their office.
_
After 5 days of boarding and daycare with you at Yuppie Dog, my husband and I returned home Monday evening to find our pup limping on both of her back feet.

Darwin's rear paw pads are burned so badly that she can't walk more than a few steps at a time without laying down and resting them. We understand that it's a common injury that can come about in play. This injury is so severe, however, that her black pads are bright red and bleeding. This had to have come about as a result of days of negligence. What's worse, you did not bother to contact us to notify us of her injuries.

We paid a significant premium for our dog to board at Yuppie Dog, not just because we wanted her to enjoy herself, but we had the expectation that your staff would take their duties seriously and care for our dog in the same manner that we would were she at home. That was clearly not the case.

A Well Organized, Structured, Professional Environment! Absolutely Love the set up, and how they All treat and interact with every single loving pet that is staying. It's So Reassuring to know that my dog is not just exited to go every day, but is wonderful at home as well! It's like she knows that she gets to go back and visit her friends, like the kids do at school.
I Truly Recommend Yuppy Dog to Everyone

I would give zero stars if possible. I took my 2 dogs to be boarded in the morning before my vacation just to be told at 630 at night they couldn't handle my chihuahua. I had to delay my vacation and flight (costing me $300) so that I could beg my vet to board my dogs. My chihuahua came back traumitized. Would not eat dinner or breakfast. Luckily when I went to board the next morning they both went happily at my vets boarding place. It is an Awful place. They absolutely cannot be dog experts. They do not contact you in a timely manner if an event has occurred.

Lola has a great time here! We drop her off at 7am and she plays until 11am. At that point, she goes to nap time in the air conditioning and takes some time to hydrate and rest up for afternoon play. At 2pm, the dogs play in the indoor play yard where it's nice and cool. I try to pick her up before 6pm because everyone starts going back to private rest areas by 6:30pm.

Cynthia was amazing! She let me tour the facility and I feel like she truly understands pack mentality and works to keep the pack safe, comfortable and fun.

Never, ever, ever again! Let me first say that I ...

Never, ever, ever again! Let me first say that I had my dog groomed here several times over the last year and was generally happy with the grooming. I was always a little perplexed that I could drop my dog off at 8 am in the morning and that he wouldn't be ready until 5 or 6 pm. It also concerned me a little that he always relieved himself as soon as we got out the doors like he had been holding it for some time. But today was the final straw. I have had my dog groomed numerous times here over the past year and was always charged around $90 for his breed. When I picked my dog up today I was told that my charges were $111. When I inquired if they had raised their prices, they indicated that they had not, but that they had determined that my dog was a different breed. My dog is 7 years old, we've owned him nearly since birth, and not once has he been referred to as the breed they suddenly self-determined. Not his veterinarians, not the shelter that we adopted him from, no one. When I asked why this was never brought to my attention at all the previous groomings, they advised that I should be happy that I received a discount for the previous groomings. What??? When I asked why the previous groomers didn't raise the issue, they indicated that the current groomer was a manager, which I guess makes her a self proclaimed dog expert. I guess that makes the other groomers dipsticks? To recap, I dropped off my dog for grooming services at a previously agreed upon price (the price that it had been every time before) and once the services were completed, Yuppie Dog decided to change the price on their own initiative based on their self serving breed designation. If they really believed that my dog was a different breed then they should have at least contacted me, advised me of the new price, and asked if I still wanted the service. They didn't do that at all or even try to act apologetic and rather told me I should be happy that I got a discount before? Come on! I'm half tempted to have my dog genetically tested just to prove a point. And to be clear, we aren't talking about the difference between a chihuahua and a st. bernard. The $90 paid before was for a breed that best fits my dog that includes a large breed with a double coat. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone and plan to duplicate this review at every available opportunity and will file a complaint with the better business bureau.

My Cattle Dog puppy had a great time during his first day here. I can tell he was treated very well since he looked confident and happy when I picked him up. I am also glad they had a pool, which isn't too common of dog daycares in Houston proper. Would be a plus if they had cameras, but everything else was very positive!

I can t say enough good things about Yuppie Dog, the staff if friendly and helpful and the play areas are clean, shaded and well attended. The grooming is always great, even with my dog that refuses to let his nail be trimmed almost everywhere. I always pick my dog up clean, happy and super tired from playing.

I d give it a one star but they do run a clean facility and the staff is pretty friendly. My biggest issues are that they charge extra for day care when you are already boarding your dog overnight. So that means your dog only goes out for bathroom breaks twice a day.

Also, their pickup hours on Sunday are laughable too. They know that they can extort people into making them pay for another night of boarding because most people that go out of town cannot get back to Houston to pick up their dog by noon on a Sunday.

Every time I pull into the parking lot of Yuppie Dog, my dog starts going nuts because she's so excited to be there. I've been taking Poppy here for about a year and she loves the staff as much as I do. If I'm going on a longer trip, I don't feel as bad as I usually would because she absolutely loves being at Yuppie Dog and the staff usually recognizes her when she comes in the door. I love that!

The facilities are great and exceed expectations. They have a very nice pool, and it's always great to see the dogs enjoying it. I board my two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels here whenever I travel. My dogs are always happy to arrive at Yuppie Dog. The value for your money is excellent.

I love, love, LOVE Yuppie Dog. Here's the scoop:

I love, love, LOVE Yuppie Dog. Here's the scoop:

I rescued a dog off the streets and, long story short, my mom decided to adopt him. Plot twist: she lives in California. I personally could not house him myself, so we elected to board him somewhere while he awaited his transport shuttle to swing back around to Houston.

I chose Yuppie Dog because I drove by their facility many times and it looked like a great place. The reviews confirmed that. Rajah (my rescue) was accepted to be boarded almost immediately, even though it would be over a month that he would be boarded there.

I let them know Rajah's situation and they were accommodating 100%. Their lobby area has really cool collars you can buy and I purchased a cute pin-up girl one :P They are really reasonably priced!

At the day of his pickup, they prepared his food into individual servings (per the transport rules) and paperwork -- things I fully expected I would need to do myself. They happily assured me they would take care of everything. They held on to his health certificate and even printed his health records for the shuttle driver.

They provided updates on Rajah at my request and were extremely responsive to emails and phone calls. Their staff were knowledgeable, thoughtful and well-trained. I was absolutely worry-free with my rescue baby being housed there, because these guys are saints <3 Thank you, Yuppie Dog!

PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. I paid for my dog to receive the delight yuppie, for individual play time and she was supposed to be boarded in a kennel by herself. After picking her up from her stay she began to become very sick and developed kennel cough. When I reached out to Yuppie Dog, they put me in contact with their owner or manager Melanie who proceeded to inform me that this is a risk that I have to assume as a possibility when a pet owner boards their dog and that no refund or compensation would be received besides the $10 prescription fee I incurred. She was very unsympathetic and the way she handled the situation leads me to never want to leave my dog here again and to make sure that my friends and family refrain from this business as well. Please proceed with caution if you ever consider giving Yuppie Dog your business.

I've been taking my dog to Yuppie Dog at least a few days a week for daycare and overnight boarding once every few months for the last 3 years and I couldn't be happier with my experience there.

The Staff is great. Very responsive, welcoming, warm and friendly, and you can tell they are actually happy to see my dog when he arrives. My dog seems to love it as well. Every day whether he's going to daycare or not, he's waiting at the back door trying to get in the car wagging his tail thinking he's going there.

Not once had any health or safety issues or any negative incidents there and they continue to find ways to improve the grounds (all the outdoor field turf was a really nice addition!).

With all these giant dog day care parks popping up around the area with hundreds of dogs every day there, your dog will get a personal touch and the attention they deserve at this neighborhood gem.

I really love the people here - and my dog loves them even more. The people are kind, responsible and really look after the dogs. My dog has so much fun, comes home tired but I never feel like they are unsupervised or allowed to get too crazy. I really appreciate this place and totally recommend it. Also the animal behaviorist, Mary, is very knowledgeable and happy to chat. She has given me great information and been helpful whenever I have a question. Thanks Yuppie Dog so much.

I was really excited to enroll my dog in daycare here during my long workdays, but they do not accept diabetic dogs under any circumstances. I want to be understanding, but it's a bit silly. They emailed me (AFTER I pulled vaccination records and filled out pages of paperwork, because there is no disclosure on their website) that they aren't prepared to handle medical emergencies and can't accept my dog in any capacity. So, what about all the other dogs with medical conditions? Elderly dogs? What about when random accidents happen? What was the point of listing an emergency contact and veterinary info? I offered vet approval that my dog is fit for daycare and they still wouldn't allow it. And I even explained that I give insulin shots myself in the AM- they would never be required to do it themselves.

Really disappointed in this place. I'll be taking my dog to Houston Bark Park, which has more running room, live webcams, and is okay with diabetic dogs.

My dog used to go to day care here but they have way too many dogs there and the dogs are left with an untrained, young staff. The last straw was when my pup was bitten by a pit bull while he was in their care. When I got there, the pit that attacked my dog was still in the play yard with the other dogs while I had to rush mine to the vet. I asked for the owner to call and 3 weeks later, she has yet to do so. Very unprofessional, uncaring owner and a staff that should have been able to prevent the situation if they were paying attention. I highly recommend going elsewhere.

I've taken my two toy dog (one is 5 years old and the other 7 years old) here three times to get groomed over the course of 5 months. I dropped them off each time around 7am on a Friday and each and every time, they weren't ready until much later that evening, one time even close to 6:30pm. With other groomers I've used, my pups usually run out to me when I pick them up with their ears back and tails wagging. What I noticed the second time I went to drop them off at Yuppie dog, however, was they would run behind me and cry and not want the staff to pick them up to go and get groomed. I gave Yuppie Dog another chance and on the 3rd visit, my dog came back with a large cut on his belly from being nicked by what I assume were clippers (no one informed me of this, I noticed it that evening when my dog wouldn't stop licking the area) but the injury could have very easily been a dog bite as it looked like a puncture. We had to take him to the vet because it got worse and of course pay for anti-biotics and the vet bill. Recently, I received an email that Yuppie Dog would not be offering grooming services anymore and I wonder if the issues mentioned above have happened frequently enough to shut it down. I'll be taking them back to Gizzie's Grooming off of Shepherd and Sul Ross!

My dog is very energetic and needs more than a jog or walk in the evenings. When looking for a daycare, I wanted a place close to work and a place that opened early enough for me. Obviously, I also looked for a place with great reviews. Yuppie dog seemed to align with all my needs. The staff is friendly, super responsive, and helpful. The pictures they send me during the day is such a sweet gesture. My boy comes home tired, which is a sign of a great day. I love that he gets to socialize and make new furry friends!

I called this place twice and filled out all the online forms to find out that they do not do dog cuts. This was a complete waste of time that could have been avoided if the girl who answers the phone was better at communicating. The second time I called to make an appointment, the girl who answers the phone placed me on two holds without even asking. This is extremely rude and unprofessional and is a direct reflection of how they feel about their work. I am definitely looking elsewhere and would recommend that the managers better train anyone who is client facing.

Our four month old golden doodle puppy went here for the very first time to be boarded. They sent me pictures of her playing and with another dog and she looked pretty happy. When it was time to pick her up they called us to make sure we were coming because we were cutting it close after wedding night on a Sunday (you have to get them by 12). When we came to get her she was covered in urine on her backside. She s a puppy so she pees every 3-4 hours. She was also crying in the car on the way home because she was thirsty. When we got home she had diarrhea for the entire time. Now granted we know she got a bedtime treat which probably gave her diarrhea but she also pooped a lot so it was hard to tell if she pooped there. Having her covered in urine was a surprise because we thought she would have been walked frequently seeing as that she s still a baby. She is supposed to stay there for five days coming up and I m a little worried about keeping her there for so long.

I love taking my dog to Yuppie Dog! Before Murphy ...

I love taking my dog to Yuppie Dog! Before Murphy started going to daycare/boarding I researched nearly every facility and read almost every review available to ensure I found a place that met my dogs needs. Yuppie Dog was ultimately recommended by a neighbor and I couldn t be happier that I took her advice.

Murphy started going to yuppie dog when she was between 4-5 months old and started in the small dog side. She has since moved to the big dog side. The staff has always been very attentive and appear to be very hands on. She s still a puppy and sometimes can be a little rambunctious but the staff handles it well and always informs me if she needed some time to calm down on her own that day. If she had any issues during the day their staff works to positively correct her behavior and lets me know so I can continue the work at home. I find it very helpful and appreciate that they take the time to get to know each dog and their different personalities.

Murphy goes to doggy daycare and has stayed overnight for boarding many times. I ve always been very happy with the staff and the facilities! The only thing I wish was different are the pick up times on Sundays for boarding. I rarely make it home from a weekend trip before 12 so Murphy usually stays an extra night and I ll pick her up after daycare on Monday. This really isn t an issue though because I know my dog is safe, well taken care of and is very happy for some extra time to play with other dogs! Their staff also usually sends photos of my girl on weekends when I board her and often send them during the week too. I really appreciate getting to see her and how happy she is while I m unable to be with her!

My sister has also brought her dog for boarding after Murphy started going and she loves this facility as well. I m very happy with Yuppie Dog and can t imagine taking my dog anywhere else! I would highly recommend Yuppie Dog to anyone.

We are pretty irregular about play time at Yuppie ...

We are pretty irregular about play time at Yuppie Dog... Once a week, sometimes once a month... But when we tell our pup he's going to "camp" he goes insane and starts trying to body slam the door to get to the car faster. He loves going to Yuppie Dog. I live close enough to drive by if I'm running errands while he is off having play time and I can see it from the road that he is having good time. He always leaves smiling and exhausted. There is always a visible difference when this "only child" has spent some time at "camp" with friends.

I can't praise the staff of Yuppie Dog enough. These people CARE about my dog. He's one of hundreds that they see but when I call and ask, "Do you have room in daycare for a little dog?" The answer from Mary is always, "If you're calling about Cesare there is always room for him. We love him." And they do! They greet him by name when we go to the office fo a drop off and are so kind to him.

The yard attendants are always sitting out with the dogs and typically snuggling with the ones that may be a bit pooped from their play day.

The thing I love about Yuppie Dog is that if I have to make a trip out of town for work I can leave my little dude with them at an affordable price and know they're taking care of him like I would and that he doesn't even miss Dad because he's having so much fun. The peace of mind is worth it.

There are a few flashier looking places in the area and a lot of on par places but I would choose Yuppie Dog for Mary and staff even if it was out of the way. Knowing my pup is having fun and cared for means the world to me.
