The tour was free, and very informative. It was a great experience seeing how the bigger companies go through the process compared to the smaller breweries. Learned a lot, and there was a small tasting at the end. Great place to spend some time!

Tour guide was funny and had a lot of knowledge. I thought we'd get a closer look at the plant but everything was from a window. No videos allowed, only photographs. No photographs of the lab. At the end of the tour they give you 2 free cups of beer (not full sized but not sample size either), there were 6 to select from. They do not sell beer there as they do not have a liquor license but they do have a gift shop.

We went on Good Friday. Most of the employees were off and there was no bottling going on. Our tour guide Abby was very good and did her best. But the height of a brewery tour is always the production line. Tuesday thru Thursday would be your best bet.

Had fun the lady guide was very knowledgeable got to see one of the Beths (chemist) everyone seemed like they love their job. Plus drinking one day old IPL was the best experience for me while in Tampa. Got a cute hat & shot glass at the gift shop. Very satisfied overall

Nice little tour especially if you like retro! Lol Other than the equipment the company doesn't seem to put money into the building is or the land. The lab is like walking thru a 60's high school science lab. It was still a nice tour with a very nice tour guide! And of course the free samples!!!

Tour was good and the brews were good of course, but if you get the chance tour the one in Pennsylvania. In my opinion it's a better tour because it's the original plus they can sell beer in their gift shop after the samplings.

A company that lets you tour it s manufacturing operation and learn it s history is a five star in my book. I am a polymer chemist of 25 years with most of it spent managing operations to be Lean Mfg companies and six Sigma. Everything I saw was lean. Yet it s what I heard about Mr. Yuengling, the fifth generation 70 plus year old that was most impressive! He sounds like a man of great character and an undying love for making the best beer in the country. I hope I get to meet him one day but until then I have a cardboard pic of him. Im now a Yoga Studio owner and retired from chemistry at 38. I can tell a lot about a person from how they look and relate it to their business. This man is in great shape at 70. If you take that good care of yourself, I know he takes good care of his customers! I cant wait to see what his girls do it s the business when they buy it at market value from him. I bet they were raised to be sharp women with keen eyes for details. The tour guides were awesome! I d like to be a guide!!!!

Very interesting brewery tour! A bit of the history of both the Yuengling company and the brewery building itself. Gift shop had a large selection at good prices. Staff were friendly and able to answer all questions.

INFORMATIVE LOCAL BREWERY TOUR

INFORMATIVE LOCAL BREWERY TOUR
Looking for something to do in Tampa which is complimentary and offers tasting samples? Yuengling Brewery offers free tours of their Brew Factory many times a day so, the Kid and I were in!
Yuengling IS the oldest Brewery in the US! It originally began in Pottsville, Pa in 1829, that's 191 years old.
YEP! It beats out it's Budweiser, the competition by several years. BW was "born" in 1852. The Eagle is original to Yuengling and when BW decided to sue Yuengling for the Eagle copyright, BW lost.
Back to the tour. The tour is very casual but, organized. Meet in the Guest Center, sign in the guest book, grab a wristband and then wait for the tour to begin. While waiting, one can browse the Gift Shop, walk the grounds or enjoy a beer before the Tour.
A short oral presentation along with a short film is given at the beginning of the tour. You will be split into smaller groups (no more than 20 people) so, you can hear the Guide's complete description as you move from building to building. HEADS UP: NO photos are allowed in the interior except for the Guest Center. Yuengling is very sensitive to their formula and processing. It's ok, cause you can still take some great exterior photos.
The tour last for about 90 minutes. There are stairs and it's all walking so, wear comfy shoes. Parking is also FREE. Q & A's are encouraged!
After the tour, you can enjoy popcorn and 2 complimentary samples back at the Guest Center.

I have never been to a brewery before and being able to go and get a tour of the Yuengling Factory in Tampa was so cool! The tour guide Tricia taught me a lot of the process for making beer at Yuengling, she was great, and at the end of the tour while sampling the beer I found a new favorite! AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!

Just recently moved to Tampa and am an avid fan of their lager. So I finally made the time to go and I'm glad I did. This isn't one of those tours that just seem to drag on and on. This tour is just the right amount of time and our guide was very well spoken and laid back. Would go back again when I have family/friends visit. Definitely recommend it.

The Yuengling brewing tour was really cool! It was so interesting when I learned that they made ice cream and how they survived the depression. It was also really funny that the made delivered Victory Beer to the White House on the day the ban was lifted. The tour guide was unbelievable and showed a very old knowledge of the company. Tricia showed incredible hospitality and I will definitely be back to see her!

What a fantastic experience. We came here to have some samples, check out the gift shop and possibly do the free tour.

We didn t do the tour but we really enjoyed ourselves with Eleana and Susan. Both lady s were super friendly and helpful.
