York Towne Urology e-checked me in easily, completed registration quickly, and kept my appointment on time. Dr. Churukanti explained the diagnosis, treatment options, and the next steps for the procedure to correct the problem. All very professional people at YTU.
Dr Churukanti then performed robotic surgery a couple weeks later and all was resolved after tumor was removed from my kidney leaving 90% of my kidney intact and functional!

My experience started out good. I like Dr. Baselli and he tested me to see if I was good candidate for the Urolift procedure. I was and we planned on going to the next step, but before I left one of the office staff said my insurance wont cover procedure and the Dr.wants to discuss other options. I wasn't looking for another option so I called back in a couple weeks and talked with Dawn Noonan, office manager.
She set up a three-way conversation for her , myself and the insurance which we did have but as the talk progressed I realized it wasn't Insurance not payng, they just won't pay what the doctors want, The insurance provider kept telling Dawn that if you refer to the contract between the two it tells you what they will pay. So at one time the doctor's office agreed to this contract but now they don't want to take the money that is offered to them. Dawn said it could take a week to get answers from the insurance company.
I have tried to get in contact with Dawn twice and left messages to ask her about the situation and what is going on, but she has not returned any of my phone calls so I'm very disappointed in the way things have progressed.
This has been 3 months after the 3 way conversation.

From making the appointment, check-in, the nurse, and Dr. Baselli we were well taken care of. I ve worked in healthcare for 30 years. I rarely see a doctor take that much time to make sure we understood all the factors and steps to resolution. I m not sure where the negative is coming from. Not our experience at all.

Very iffy about treating you. Sent for a CT, after renal ultrasound report was very accurate of showing kidney stones for a reoccurring diagnosis shown in medical records. We will see what happens from here. The pain for this is equated to given childbirth, I having been a fallen police officer/NCLEX-RN and being shot in the back in 1993, my vest stopped penetration but received partial paralysis from the impact that never cause as much pain as passing a kidney stone, have to go to urgent care for pain management from the stones, everyone's so afraid of prescribing pain medications now a days, shame on them for doing their chosen profession! Your body knows what a stone is about to drop by sending out pain receptors to ready you for it no report is capable of know when you are about to drop a stone to the bladder or when it is going to pass the your bladder, it would only show the blockage when it occurs, then the pain worsens more. Listening to your
patient is something key to your prognosis!

Was in the ER (dx with kidney stone)& was told to follow-up with York Towne Urology. I called the Monday following the ER visit at 8:45am. The receptionist wasn t the nicest person, but so much better than the Dr or nurse practitioner or whomever called me back. She was so rude I was almost in tears before I hung up with her. Never offered an appointment, but only said continue ur pain medication. I told her I couldn t go back to work due to my pain as I care for an elderly woman in her home. She said I don t know what to tell you. I asked her who I should ask as the hospital covered me for Monday, but not for Tuesday. She called back saying they couldn t give me a note to follow-up with my FD, which I did. Had an appointment this am & FD asked me, if I followed-up with YTU. I explained the whole ordeal. She referred me to wellspan urology. My suggestion, call wellspan urology or somewhere else! Stay FAR, far away from YTU!!

Appointment time mixed up, I received a call to confirm at the same time that I had written in my calendar. Front desk told me that I had to sit in a overcrowded waiting room to reschedule. I am pleased with the Dr. , but the staff makes or breaks an office. By the way the same receptionist told everyone ahead of me that the doctors were running 45 minutes late. I was 20 minutes past their "wrong " appointment time. 10 of which I waited in the hall behind 5 people to check in. Just rude!!!

Went for a procedure. Pre-op was great; spoke with Tana Gonzales; quite professional.

Day of procedure I'm prepped and lying on the table...FOR NINETY MINUTES. I nearly fell asleep waiting, minus how cold it was in the room.

Why? Staff meeting. Who holds a staff meeting for 90 minutes with patients waiting? They were also a little rude to my wife who was wondering why a 15-minute procedure stretched towards the 2-hour mark.

If you can find somewhere else, you might have a better experience. But considering the local competition is slim, this place gets away with a lot of shenanigans.

No issues with procedure...but take the day off. They don't seem to have a lot of respect for your schedule.
