Great Day out for the whole family. Lovely walks. Fantastic sculptures. Outdoor fun
Nice park. Some interesting sculptures, not all to my taste but that is art.
Wonderful views, great walks with good footpaths. Great parking with parking costs going to the upkeep of the YSP, fabulous and surprising sculptures. Loved amazing trees and the Camelia house , good cafes and clean toilets. Loved our visit can't wait to revisit however think we would take a picnic next time. Make sure you have decent footwear and maybe a weather Jacket
Nice big park for little ones to explore and some amazing sculptures to see. However parking is astronomical
A gem. Some world class sculpture in amazing grounds.
The park is amazing. Very accessible and easy to park. Only got 4 stars as cannot take dogs into toilets and was told to tie him up outside!
Beautiful place we went for a walk n the first more. The arts not my style but the. Ature was amazing
Great walks around the park. Lots to see outdoors and even some indoors. Well maintained. Nice scenery.
Always a great visit. I recommend current exhibition by Joana Vasconcelos. Due to Covid book in advance.
Wonderful place, though be prepared for a fair amount of walking though.
Some lovely sculptures especially Ai WeiWei. Hot weather meant it was a little busy. Still no real sense that it works as a place, to display art. It lacks a theme.
Fantastic place to explore the grandkids loved it, we have a return visit planned so much to see, the park is extensive with great food worth a visit
Beautiful place. We loved it and it s amazing value considering you are only paying for parking.
It is lovely place to visit long walks and lovely food
Fabulous place and a lovely walk around the farside of the lake to the top of the hill and back on the bridleway. So many interesting things to see.
Well worth a visit. Beautiful grounds and parklands. It has improved over the last few years with the new facilities new cafes and continual development of the grounds and trails.
We visit YSP regularly. It is a lovely place to visit. Combination of nature and art is what we really like.
Lovely walk and sculptures to see. An enjoyable day for kids and adults
Nice place to sit in the newly opened restaurant at The Weston. Lovely creative menu!
Allow yourself plenty of time as there is so much to see.
Lovely place for a walk.... Beware they paths can be very muddy, walking boots or wellies essential when it's been wet
Excellent place to visit if you are an artist or just love beautiful gardens
Good day out make sure you have comfy shoes and take a picnic
Parking prices increased yet again BUT where else can you go & see the magnificent sculptures in the most wonderful setting. The food is 5* & served by friendly helpful staff. The Jewel in Yorkshires crown.
Great place for walks ans sculptures plus the sceneries.
Pay for parking and can stay all day, lovely walks and grounds
In fairness, I'm not really a fan of modern art. However, the park is soothing to walk through and the larger installations almost feel a bit like a grown-up playground. Would go again just for the nice walk if the weather was pleasant.
Excellent set of sculptures in lovely rural surroundings
Wonderfully large park in beautiful surroundings. Inspiring sculptures. Peaceful and relaxing.
Fantastic setting for amazing sculptures and lovely walks.
Great day out in the sun with my 11 month old. A really beautiful place.
It's the worst place I've ever been and staff don't know how to help and give information
Really nice place in general and to take the dogs for a walk, one thing to note is that during certain times some of the paths closer to the reservoir are closed off to those with dogs but you can use alternative routes.
Not very good for the disable at all no paths for wheelchair's to access any of the sculptures
Amazing place to stroll and visit the art works in all seasons x
Lovely place to take the kids for a walk, the hill is a killer though!
What an amazing place, worth going. Make a whole day of it and take a picnic
Lovely walks and very interesting art set in a massive country park
Yorkshire sculpture park was really good.there was plenty to look at some good walks.well with a visit a very popular place
A nice walk around the grounds with some unique sculptures along the way
Well sign posted with directions to meet covid regulations hand gel available and toilets clean staff walking around . Well worth the visit to see new things and to experience space and being outside .thank you for your hard work to keep us as safe as possible and able to feel free for a few hours
Beautiful place, had a bit of trouble with the car parking payment machine.
A really nice day out nice experience in the cafe and lovely walks
Lots to see and do. Great sculptures in the park. Also a nice walk around the lake.
Good access too; it's a couple of minutes off of the M1
I may be being a little heretical here but I was somewhat underwhelmed.Perhaps the present exhibits didn't resonate with me or maybe I found the exhibits too far apart for my ageing frame and couldn't get to one exhibit I wanted to see. I also noted that nothing was over 100 yrs old. I must admit a fondness for Rodin, Michelangelo or even Praxiteles. I've also been fortunate to see some astonishing Buddhist works in Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Myanmar and nothing here was able to move me as they did. Perhaps 3 stars is a little stingy but 4 would have been over generous.
Disappointing, as this was rated as the biggest sculpture park in the country. It is the biggest in acreage by far but the sculptures are few and far between. Churt sculpture park in Hampshire is far better, there is also a better one in Surrey. That said some of the sculptures are impressive.
Impressive park, well spaced out. Fun for kids. Some of the art exhibitions are a little highbrow and abstract for common taste, but worth a visit. Parking is to be paid for but otherwise entry is free. A full day may be spent here, so good value for money.
Great place. Good food, fresh air, lots of space to walk and art, like it or no. Wear stout shoes as it ca be muddy in places but it's worth the cleaning to see what's on offer.
A lovely place to take a walk and view some sculptures- there's always something new, and it's a very nice place to take a break.
Absolutely amazing time spent at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, had a lovely time walking around and seeing the exhibits on display island the countryside around it.
Went start of new year. Easy to find, just off motorway. It was extremely busy with the overflow car park being used. Lots of staff around to help direct you. However at the park extremely limited seating in all the cafes with 45 min wait in the main one. Staff are friendly but clearly not enough people or space to accommodate volume in the indoor areas. Maybe a marquee area could help with the overflow? Maps were clear. Parking fees easy to pay and not expensive. Toilets were clean. Wish they could get more financial support to ease some problems. Exhibit wise "Not Vital" was truly outstanding but would have liked to have seen more interesting exhibits, maybe some African, Indian, South American artists to give it a wider perspective. Could all a bit harsh as it's difficult for them with the parking fee, cafe and shop profits paying for everything. Still worth a day out though. Overall it was a nice visit.
My favourite place. Wide open spaces to explore.Interesting, stimulating, peaceful, relaxing. You choose what you want it to be.
Not very well setup for children I visited with 3 adults and 3 children under 3. No easy access with a pram. Badly signposted ending in us walking much longer distances than needed to take in the artwork.
The main centre doors and walkways are not forgiving for pushchairs having to ask other members of the public to open them for me.
Wouldn't visit with children under 5 at least.
Love it every time. Try pick a sunny day and make it an ALL day thing so that the car park is worth it.
We visited on a very cold day, that was dry. Brunch was lovely. Because of the recent rainfall the grounds were very muddy, so go prepared.
A queue to get in but lovely once there and it is a good time to get the autumn colours
Super place for a country walk with the added interest of the sculptures.
Picturesque views and excellent coffee facilities !
Excellent cafe, good choice of freshly cooked. Sculpture park is amazing many very good, some crazy, miles of good paths to explore.
A visual feast! beautiful countryside to walk around and some interesting art to enjoy too.
Really nice place to have a wonder round, beautiful grounds and a nice cafe for food
Lovely place for a wander on a nice day. Food and drinks are pricey though.
