What a superb hidden gem of a tea shop! Sandwiches handmade to order on crusty bread with hand cut ham, cans ice cold, a seat on the lovely village green and all served by a charming girl. Well done! K.
Called in here after a bike ride. Had the cream scones - absolutely gorgeous with plentiful supply of jam and cream. We had been to Betty's the day before and I would say the scones here were much better. My husband had the lemon meringue pie which came with a choice of cream or ice cream. Good friendly service. There was a good snack menu. Very reasonably priced. Will be back.

Meringue pie and apple pie were perfect! (Both massive!)
2 of us got scones - the jam and the cream were amazing but the scones were a bit hard. (Still nice though)
The cheesecake not so much. Very thin and full of berries. Possibly the way it is made locally but cheesecake is normally thicker and there is definition between the biscuit and the cheesecake.
Tea and coffees were good.
Only gave 4 stars due to the amount of flies that were in the shop. We were sitting by the window and constantly swatting them away - big bluebottles. (Appreciate it was warm but there was nothing in place to keep them away)
Absolutely wonderful tea rooms with delicious rolls and sandwiches and even better cakes. We found it by accident while driving home, but we will never pass it again without calling in!

stopped off here on route for a couple of very tasty ice creams. looks clean with good choice. very busy. glad we did lovely village very picturesque outside seating looks like a good pub at top of village children's play area. waterfall river runs through village. good photos taken on the bridge but watch traffic coming through.

Tea room was ok and have used many times, however now understand owner is against 2nd homes owners in the Dales so will not use again or buy coal from Peacocks. Shame they don't want 2nd homes owners business !!!!
