Everything was smooth.... the enrollment process....workout area is pretty decent and the classes are amazing... I got two free classes...THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING I FOUND OUT IS THE STEAM AND SAUNA ROOMS ARE NOT OPERATING>>>>>
The fitness center is spacious and well-equipped. With the air circulation and the ability to open windows to the outside, the facility feels safe despite the pandemic. The limited occupation is also reassuring.
Matt at Baystate has been tremendous help in dealing with two issues that needed serious attention including a broken hip. Skillful and encouraging. People are friendly and supportive,
I often see employees cleaning up often to keep the place clean this help keep us safe. Also it's very friendly and inviting. So far I enjoy Huntington Ave location the best .
Great gym, staff are friendly and helpful. The aquatic instructor is great, and the facilities are large, well-maintained, and good amenities (swimsuit spinner to remove water after swims, hair dryers, etc). There are plenty of day lockers, showers, fitness equipment, swim lanes, etc. The online scheduling lookup is helpful to sign up for adult classes too such as the swim classes, and they have them for different skill levels.
The place has always been very clean and the equipment is new. All of the group classes I've tried are amazing (especially cycling)! Also the Huntington Y has dealt with COVID really well and I have felt safe going there this past year.
The gym is very well maintained. The people working there are friendly and very helpful. You get many machines to do your workout.
The universal pre-K program at a different location has been great. There are different locations. For kids classes we've been happy with the Oak Square and Parkway locations so far.
I owe my current fitness level to the dedicated staff at the Waltham YMCA. It s my second home. Special thanks to John, Danielle, and Alec!
