Yellowstone Raft Company Review

We had a great time. I had a group of 20, and we had two rafts guided by Izzie and Bucky. They were both awesome, fun, taught us, and everyone had fun and got wet! The office could have been more organized but considering their main office burned down 2 days ago, I thought they did great! Very helpful and friendly. The Yellowstone River was beautiful. I would definitely recommend these guys and we will definitely be back! Thanks!

Our rafting trip was awesome. Danny was our guide and she was super rad! Super knowledgeable raft guide and made the trip a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend this company and would use them again!

On April, 2019, I booked in advance a full day rafting for 8 people for July 15th, 2019. They charged my CC $821.86 right away. Then in June 17th, I had to modify the reservation to 6 adults. Two days before the reserved date, I called and modify the reservation into half day raft for 4 people. After the trip, I specifically asked the young lady behind the register about the refund. She said that she had taken care of it.
Today, I went through my CC statement and found out that this company NEVER refund my CC for what they owe! BEWARE! K. McCarthy Booking #38208210

Update on 8/12/19 I managed to speak directly with the owner of this company. She had been able to refund the balance back to my CC.

Awesome float. I ve done a few this summer with different companies and today was by far the best. The guys in the office were great and Craig was our guide and he made us all feel so welcome and comfortable. He was just the best with storytelling and knowledge about the river and the area and rafting in general. Super fun day. It went by way too fast. I highly recommend.

The Yellowstone Raft Company took great care of our family. We had a great time. 2 of the 3 members in our family were first time rafters and this was an excellent experience for them. Everything was on time. There were no hidden costs except tipping your friendly guide. The equipment was safe and clean. Once on the river, our guide, Kelly, was able to answer all of our questions about the river, the wildlife, and the plants and trees that surrounded the river. A great time! Highly recommend!

Patrick and Sarah made our experience with Yellowstone Rafting amazing. Their personal family touch is so wonderful. We had 14 in our crew 8 doing the white water rafting and 6 on the scenic raft. We had an excellent guide - Cliff! Thanks to him, we enjoyed a great ride: the perfect balance of whitewater rapids excitement and peaceful viewing of the mountain views from the river. Cliff even told us a great indigenous story about the area we were staying in. Our action shots also turned out very well - a great part of the package as it captures all the thrill of the experience. All in all, this was a great way to end our week in Yellowstone. Our thanks to Patrick at Yellowstone Raft. He was very responsive and we really appreciated his ability to find solutions to our scheduling challenges. We also booked with them because they had very good Covid-19 protocols in place and communicated very well about these to their customers.

Bucky was an awesome instructor and was a funny guy.

We had a lot of fun and the guides were funny and personable! Also they went over safety real well, I felt I understood what I would need to do if I fell off of the raft and so forth! :)

Abby was a great river guide and the experience is so worth coming here. My only regret was not doing the full day river trip due to my short time visiting the area. I will definitely be coming back with my family next year to have them experience it!

Our guide, Maria, was such a treasure! She was so knowledgable about the topography and wildlife, plus entertained us with prior rafting experiences! As an experienced guide, Maria knew every nook and cranny in the Yellowstone River, and made us feel that we were in good hands. We had just enough white water mixed with scenic beauty that we felt we had the full experience. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to experience Montana from a river view!

My family and I were driving through Gardiner on Thursday, July 16 after the fire. It was devastating, we could see the remains of the buildings from the highway, and the smell grew stronger as we approached Main Street. It was so sad. So sorry for the loss. Has anyone set up a GoFundMe page? Would love to show support to a local business and the employees who lost everything. We live in Marin County, just south of the Sonoma County Fires that burned Northern California. I haven't experience a fire first hand to lose everything, but have many friends who have lost it all in just minutes.

Summer was an awesome guide! Everyone was super friendly and it was easy to tell they loved their jobs. The float was awesome.

We went on the scenic tour with my 6 and 9 year old. It was perfect. Our guide was great with interacting with my girls and they truly enjoyed themselves. They even got to row some. Definitely worth the money.

Patrick was our guide, he was informative, easy going and his dad jokes were hilarious. All of the guides were very genuine and outgoing and I would recommend all of them. Above and beyond easing my mind as a first time rafter myself as well as my kids. I'm sure the death curdling screams of a grasshopper crawling up my leg in the boat will not be forgotten. We had an amazing time on the half day rafting adventure! Abby was our guide and she was so wonderful! She put our 3 kids at ease and they had such an unforgettable experience!

My family and I did the saddle and paddle. We researched online and thought this would be the best place for our summer outdoor activities and it was a blast but after roaming the area after our excursions other competing companies like the Paradise rafting co offer subway with their saddle and paddle and it s the same price. The saddle portion was 15 minutes up the rocky dirt road from the office and we had to drive up ourselves. The saddle portion was boring. The trail was a hour up the mountain then we turned around for a hour back down the same route. Very sketcy steep path. We hoped the guides would be more informative but were quite. The paddle was awesome! Ben was our rafting guide and was very entertaining. Told us stories and jokes. We made lots of memories out on the water , smiles to remember the whole time I wish we had done the full day rafting instead of adding the horse riding. Yellowstone raft co has great staff very nice people. Recommend river rafting not horse back riding. Thanks Ben summer 2018!

Every guide I've rafted with - Patty, Dani, Craig, & Izzy - have been more than helpful and hospitable, in addition to being extremely knowledgeable of the river. Great people, great price, and great service - I don't know what else you can ask for!

We lucked out and was just our family with the guide. He was knowledgeable, funny, interactive, and above all else, professional. We started at 4:30 and went down the rapids and we squealed and giggled and laughed. We saw wildlife and the different landscapes on the north side of Yellowstone park. It was an experience my family will not forget..

Attended as part of a family vacation. Mostly rookie rafters and mom who is NOT an adrenaline junkie. We. Had. A. Blast! We did the full day trip in early June with a high river and somewhat chilly temps. The staff was super friendly and Joe did a great job making everyone feel comfortable. When the trip was done even mom wanted to go back for more. Don't let the weather scare you away. They fit everyone with wetsuits, booties, and splash jackets in the event of colder weather. Highlight of our vacation! We definitely hope to be back!

Our first time ever rafting, my husband Ronnie and has an amazing time with Maria. Getting soaked and jumping out for a dip was great! She is a wonderful rafting guide, fun energetic and knowledgeable! We ll be back again and this time bringing the kids and getting soaked!

From Cali to Montana! We chose to do a guide float since we have two small children and it was one of the most awesome experiences for our kids during our vacay. Abby was great!! Super down to earth, knowledgeable and friendly, as well as the rest of the staff! (Don t forget to tip!) Great views and even got to see some wildlife! Super relaxing and got some action down some small rapids. Our older kids got to take a dive and it really made their day. Great experience, great people and we hope to make a trip out here again one day! Thanks again :)

There was not much rapids as we would have liked but our guide(Craig) was a great story teller.

Had a great time on a full day trip with our guide Joe. They took extra measures to assure we had a great time. A must do in Gardiner!!

We had a great trip. The equipment was excellent and the guide was exceptional. We are so glad we chose this company.

The only complaint I have is that we paid a lot for a 3.5 hour ride, and it was only 2.5 hours. Many other companies had way cheaper 2-3 hour rides, but they had the 3.5 which is why I picked them. That was the only negative! The staff was super friendly. The dogs were sweet, tons of horses everywhere... babies included! There are Some teenagers there working for the summer... they were all very nice and respectful, I probably talked with them the most. The cowboy cook out food was good, the atmosphere was beautiful and breathtaking! It s definitely an experience we will never forget!

We were the last float trip of the season. We had a great time. Craig was the best guide. He was very knowledgeable of the river and surrounding area. He also had a great sense of humor and joked with us. I definitely would recommend this company.

We had a company event with 15 of us in three rafts. Guides were Will, Patrick and Addy. I was in Patricks boat and he was awesome, one of the best guides we have ever had. Totally down to earth guy, made the trip a blast. The interaction between the guides in each boat made it a great trip for all of us. We saw a bighorn sheep, golden eagle, a bunch of prong horn, 2 bald eagles, a marmot, and lots of mergansers.

Our family of 12 had so much fun and our guide, Izzy, was top notch. She was a good leader, teacher, personable and most of all made it an amazing adventure!

Awesome experience. Definitely suggest doing the full day 18 mile ride. Best views and rapids on second half of the trip!

We went on a Yellowstone River white water rafting trip on the 4th of July. It was myself, my son and daughter and my six-year-old grandson now. Patrick was our guide and he was very nice to my grandson. He actually taught him how to be a guide and he loved it! Our raft was very nice, the equipment was all great and we really enjoyed ourselves!
The staff was all very friendly upon arrival we also love the photos that were taken!
We would definitely raft with this company again and I will be sending some business your way! I work at the West Yellowstone Visitor Center and people are always asking where to go once they get to Gardiner!!

I took the paddle and saddle which is horse riding for 2 hours and a half day rafting trip which was great. The horse riding was organized by Specimen Creek Outfitters and they were very professional and nice, the horses were well trained and it was a good adventure trip. The rafting trip was good too. They were chatty and fun and basically made the whole experience very enjoyable.

Tip: Consider packing food before hand because you will have very little time between the horse riding trip and rafting trip to grab a bite.

We had the most incredible time and were so impressed with our guide TJ! He was so knowledgeable, fun, and had the best energy. He made the adventure one that our family will never forget! We highly recommend TJ and the Yellowstone Raft Company!

Myself, wife and two sons chose Yellowstone while visiting Montana for the first time. Our guide Cam along with the rest of the staff were top notch. This experience was truly one of the best experiences in our life! I suggest getting the private boat as we did. The pictures they took were beyond professional quality to say the least. My wife and I took the full day 18 mile trip. It was an amazing time and worth every penny! Everyone seemed very professional and safe but with a very laid back vibe. Guides were on point providing a safe and very fun trip! Our guide was Maria and she was amazing! She was great at pointing out the wildlife and giving lots of tib bits of cool history while also being very cool and very personable. Fully recommend them!

We had an absolutely wild time on our Half-day trip down the Yellowstone River. Our raft guide, Bucky, was filled with tons of information and some pretty funny jokes. He has awesome rafting skills and really made our adventure memorable. So glad we decided to take the ride.

Our family was looking for a fun white water rafting experience and Yellowstone Raft Company blew our expectations out of the water. Our guide, Patrick, gave an exemplary tour and history lesson. We highly recommend.

We had a great first experience! Our guide Patrick was the best. He was very nice, funny and knowledgeable.
We did the 8 mile run with smaller rapids during this time of the year and it was so much fun for us beginners. The only reason they lost one star is because the lady running the counter seemed very annoyed with anyone and everyone she came into contact with so we didn t even want to ask her questions.. all in all, it was awesome. Make sure to tip your guides, they are amazing!

Our family had an amazing time! Everyone we met from Yellowstone Raft Co was professional and courteous, especially our raft guide Bucky! He was very knowledgable, skilled, and was a complete riot with some of his jokes! He was great at pointing unique things out, like the beaver tubes (haha) and was able to relate to our entire group, which included 4 tween girls who were full of questions. Overall, our raft adventure was probably the highlight of our family's vacation and time in Yellowstone. I would recommend a raft adventure with these guys to everyone, and we will be back in a few years when my youngest boy is old enough to go along and enjoy it too!!!

I would recommend as a first rafting experience a July or August trip. Then plan to book another trip the end of May when the water is roaring. Great job Yellowstone raft company.

My son and husband had done whitewater rafting before, but i hadnt. I was a little nervous, but we all had fun and would do it again! Eric did a great job as our guide and really made the trip enjoyable.
