Yellow Scene Magazine: Creating Community Conversations Since 2000
Yellow Scene Magazine (YS) is a publication that has been dedicated to creating community conversations since the year 2000. Based in Boulder County and the North Metro Region, YS has been bringing awareness to important social, political, and cultural topics for over two decades.
The magazine was founded by David Kennedy and his wife Kristin. They saw a need for a publication that would provide an alternative voice to mainstream media in their community. They wanted to create a platform where people could share their stories and opinions on issues that mattered most to them.
Since its inception, YS has grown into one of the most respected publications in Colorado. It has won numerous awards for its journalism and design, including Best Overall Design from the Colorado Press Association.
One of the things that sets YS apart from other publications is its commitment to diversity and inclusion. The magazine features stories from people of all backgrounds and perspectives, giving readers a more complete picture of their community.
