How can you NOT like Yeager's!? I've been shopping here since the days you could buy records there (I think my first was 'Parallel Lines' by Blondie, yeah, that long ago). And we're on a 16 year run for Santa photos. From puzzles to camping gear to Legos to my new favorite green Columbia rain jacket... thanks for surviving in the world of the big box store economy!
Great customer service, but I ve come in a few times for a recent purchase at the gun counter and it s clear that the guys are knowledgeable, but the activity that is typically there is calling for a third person behind their gun counter. I waited 30 min just to pick up an item, but had to leave to tend to my child. Gonna try again tomorrow, but hoping there are reinforcements coming to help the nice guys behind the counter perform their job effectively. Especially in an environment that is as busy as the gun counter is.
We only go for the fun kids toys they have in the basement.
Good company, typically hang here just to see what kind of firearms they have in stock, especially consignment rifles (yes I'm a gun collector). Guys here are good company, one of them is also knowledgeable with small arms from WWI - WWII. Overall a neat local outdoors shop if you don't want to travel miles down to another place such as Cabella's or other outdoors shops.
Excellent customer service! Was very patient over text . First time kayak buyer. They went above and beyond any big box store would do. I called, they went through there inventory to find the ones i wanted. Sent a picture while I was away of the country for work and they held the kayaks till my wife could pick them up. Gave me a military discount and even strapped them on top of the roof rack for her. They got home fine and cant wait to get on the water. They were great! would go there again without a doubt.

I put together a fly fishing set-up with the help of staff here. Super helpful folks. A few weeks later, I was practicing fly casting in Elizabeth Park and a random older guy (who it turned out works at Yeager's) came over and gave me a much needed lesson. He didn't know I bought the set-up at Yeager's or anything, he was just helping out another sportsman. That isn't just good customer service that's good culture.

The store is fine as far as merchandising goes. But rules for COVID are super lax and even though the store has signs for required masks folks are inside without masks. Which is fine if you re vaccinated or not sick. But the woman at the counter had an active cough, and was not wearing a mask. She also coughed into her hand just before handing me a pen and receipt to sign my credit receipt. So I have zero confidence they know what basic sanitary practices are or good hygiene is, with or without a pandemic. I would recommend cash as well, using a card involves bringing out the ancient artifact of carbon copy receipts which have to be hand written. Unless you have time for a second cough.
