Best pizza you'll find.... amazing. Service a little slow today but otherwise very good!

My work colleagues and I go here every Friday and we love it! It is the highlight of our week. :)

Very nice traditional pub. Oak beams, open fires and well kept beer. They also do food but I was not in there to eat. If you are passing by I would recommend that you stop in for a drink or two.

We visited this pub last Saturday, it has fabulous pizza, good wine & the staff were all very welcoming! They have excellent measures in place for social distancing, very well organised. We will be back! Thank you

Very good meal. Pizzas done to a high standard and are authentic (Italian). Nice setting, and friendly staff.

Stopped off for lunch 50 miles into a 76 mile cycle and it was just what we needed. Pub grub done well, and good value too. Recommend the Calzone!

The food we had was delicious but we probably would have liked more variety than pizza. There were a few more things on the menu but it is primarily pizza.

Tradition english pub, out of the way from the usuals, no darkies. 5 stars.

We found this gem of a place almost by accident. After chatting to a few people in the area they suggested we check it out.
Great Ye olde pub with plenty of character and varied seating area's including a back garden which has straw bails and benches to sit on.
We had some food which was simply great value and freshly cooked with fresh ingredients.
Great selection of pizzas on the menu and the staff are very helpful if you have any questions and the landlord is a great chap too.
As for the drinks they have a wide range of local ales and a few ciders to.
Great place comes highly recommended by us and we will be returning when we are in Guildford again.

A really nice old pub which is very cosy in the winter months with the open fire, the staff were great & there fresh pizza oven pizzas where very yummy.

Lovely staff. Great pub. They even had games we could borrow and play. We enjoyed Dominoes while we waited for our lunch. Lunch was beautifully presented and tasted great.

Used to go occasionally when the old owners were there. First time since new owners and wow it has changed for the better. The classic pizza and Calzone are still there but there are new choices incl chips! Service excellent and the food better! Will become more than occasional customers now.

Well kept yet not without its rustic, traditional atmosphere and beers.

Great, well attending staff who are happy to help with whatever questions, requests and even diets with vegan cheeses available for most meals where need be.

From what I can tell - the meat dishes are also very well done and come out just as fantastically fresh as ours.

The beer tastes fresh and the balance between nature to a true inn couldn't make it a better time.

I certainly look forward to returning with my friends and family to enjoy pints and good food alike.

Had a wonderful afternoon and evening here for a friend's birthday a couple of weeks ago. Jeremy and his team were super helpful and was able to book a table for four in advance. Wonderful food (especially the pizzas) and great service throughout the day. Would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again soon.

The food is abit hit and miss. It's been spruced up inside and feels warmer but just needs a tweak of the menu.

A May Zing. Best friend took me here as I'm a pizza feind. OMG best in a long time. Pet friendly, and staff were really great, treats for the dog and us. Can't waite to go back. It was a Friday night and tables were reserved, when I go next I will book to, as wouldn't want to be disappointed . 10/10

My mother and father met here for the first time and they have been married seventy six years, must be a good pub.

Any business can look good when things go to plan.

It's only when they make an error do you really get to understand if they truly value the customer.

To that end Ye Olde Ship passed with flying colours this afternoon and just reinforced my view that this is a great pub run by great people.

Looking forward to when we can come back for a sit down pizza and beer.

We had a family group celebration for our grandsons birthday on 1st August. The food and service was excellent. The staff were very helpful and we all enjoyed the evening, including our dog who was made very welcome. Would highly recommend it as a great venue for a family night, out especially if you have a dog.

Brilliant, traditional, historic pub. Cosy atmosphere and good beer. The whole menu is good but their pizza oven freshly baked pizzas are fantastic in particular.

Table service staff were very attentive and friendly. Food (tempura prawns and spicy garlic bread) really good. Apparently, the Guinness was good too. Will return, once lockdown is over...

The pizzas are delicious and staff are pretty friendly! They don't accommodate children, no high chairs?! But there's a children's menu, such a shame as we live so close but can't come with the whole family. Toilets are also in need of updating! They are awful.

The food is really good, particularly the pizzas (which happen to be huuuge). Cosy atmosphere and nice traditional pub setting.

Terrible. My friend had booked her wedding reception here. The wedding party turned up and they denied any reservation! When we gave the name of the man who took the booking, they conveniently said he doesn t work there anymore. No apology, no trying to work things out. Awful customer service. They ruined my friends wedding and didn t care.
