Food wasn't bad, service was bad. Started off alright - they had our table ready for the party of 9 we had. Half of us arrived on time and the rest 10 mins later. I get not wanting to take any food orders before everyone got there, but no one came to take a drink order, and we waited another 10 mins for our order to be taken after everyone arrived. They didn't even come at that point, we walked up to the front and our waiter came back in a huff. Before that we had no slips of paper on our table to write our order, but the one next did so we asked to borrow one. We wrote down our order as they did with their waiter, but our waiter would NOT have it and had us recite back the whole order...for 9 people.. so that took even more time..even though we cut it in half so we wouldn't pester him with it as he looked irritated. He informed us didn't have three things we wanted off the dinner portion of the menu, seemed strange. Anyhow, we didn't get a quarter of what we ordered, when we tried to flag the waiter down he literally turned his head. Any other staff member we asked for anything, such as a fork for a rice dish for a person who has never ate with chop sticks before, didn't come. We paid 28.99 a person to have sat for over an hour, received a portion of what we ordered, and were ignored, all the while remaining polite so as not to taint the evenings air. If you want good sushi with good service, I'd stay away. We've had repeated great luck with Sanka House in Barrie - if you feel like making the drive, it's worth it.

Service is below average. Resturant look dated. They need new seats for sure, or at least deep clean them. Food is actually above average. Lunch time during the week is usually busy so make sure you make reservation for large group or come early before noon to ensure you get a table.

Great service; polite, nice; also great menu with many choices. Kitchen is very fast; plates are flying to our table as we order. Very impress and totally worth the price. Highly recommended.

It's a couple $ more expensive then most places. Their selection is the biggest but their service is so quick! Their sushi is tasty and fresh but their other non-sushi items are amazing. Their beef ribs and chicken fried rice was seasoned and grilled perfectly.

Finally able to dine out after covid lockdown. Quite disappointed with the food and service. The food was typical of an ayce, but the service was soooooo slow. I don't think we'd dine here again.

I usually don't post bad reviews but this time I feel inside my heart that it is the right thing to do as I do care about other human beings and I feel the need to warn them. This was the worst dining experience of my life. Period. Where do I start? You don't get any pen and paper to write down what you want to order but instead have a waitress standing over you to take your order of many of the mini items that you select. It doesn't give you a good opportunity to think about all the items that you want. Then the food quality, it's the absolute worst I've ever had in my whole life. Everything on the menu that is supposed to be grilled is deep fried and it tastes like the oil has been reused multiple times. Really bad oil taste of everything. Even sushi pizza which is my favorite sushi food has to taste awfully. This is the first time I left a AYCE sushi restaurant without feeling full. Because I didn't want to eat the food. Also, the final bill for myself and my wife's outing was $77 with taxes and the 10% gratuity which they placed on the bill. Please do yourself a favor and go to a different sushi restaurant. Save yourself the disappointment, you won't go out to eat so frequently so you better enjoy it.

The place was ok nothing great nothing terrible. One of the issues for me was the service. went for lunch and had to ask 3 or 4 times for the same thing like water or sauce. the desert for the lunch is just ice cream which was disappointing. The beef skewers and salmon roses were good but probably not good enough for me to go again.

great food! however i ordered through door dash and the dasher had to wait an extra 30 minutes at the store(reason unsure), and not to mention the dasher actually told me about how some of the workers weren t wearing masks, but i trust that the food is prepped with care and is clean. I definitely recommend the store to encourage all staffs to have a mask on! as the pandemic is getting worse!

Great place, great food but you have to order with the waiter which sometimes gets a bit hectic especially when your with a large group. Price is also quite reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

I visited this restaurant many times including this evening. Food is okay, but the sanitation condition today is kind of terrible. Several flies were flying around and one or two small ones ended up in the soy sauce. No apologize. I don't want to report to the authority but hope the manager could take immediate action to solve this issue.

The service and the food were terrible! Orders were wrong, food was cold, tempura was soggy and we had to send the miso soup back because it was so strong it was inedible. Portion sizes were good though and the prices were reasonable. We ate beer a couple years ago and had a much better experience.

My husband and I came here for dinner on a weekday because it was the closest sushi restaurant near where we live. We've passed by it so many times and wanted to try it out.
Food is awful!
Sashimi is not fresh. The beef sashimi was frozen and came in thick slices. Eel pancake which says only 1 per table had one tiny slice of Eel on it and tasted awful. Seriously, even without the limit, I would not order seconds! The Hokkaido scallop (limit only 1 per table) was nothing special but at least it was edible. The scallop roll was actually cooked scallop and was so tiny you can't even taste it. The grilled chicken kidney was rock hard. The spicy seafood udon was just full of sriracha sauce.

On top of those specific horrible dishes, everything was just deep fried even when it said it was supposed to be grilled. And they really need to redo the menu - so many typos.

This place gets one star only because the service is good. It was a painful experience. Never coming back.

Oh and price-wise is no different from the decent ayce sushi restaurants. Not worth it at all.

They stopped bringing our food! While we were waiting for our food , I ordered food to take out for my sister, that came in no time. When we kept asking about our food they said it will be twenty minutes! Been waiting 45 now!!!!
It is not an all you can eat, and believe me we are not OTT people!
Not recommended at all.
This is how they treat their regulars, god knows how they treat their first timers! Choose other places. Much better places out there

If service is important to you, do not go here. We waited 24 mins before someone came by our table to see if we wanted to order anything after our initial order. Food was good though and have a great selection for lunch.

Been going there for lunch every couple of months or so for the past year.
I would say that the food there is better than the average AYCE, everything I ever got there was fresh and tasted good. Portions of fish are also larger in their sushi compared to other places. Service is generally pretty quick and staff is generally nice also compared to other places.
Overall, I would say that this is the best sushi AYCE I have found so far.
The only cons is that they don't offer tuna sushi on their lunch menu (which I love) when other places do.
So why 4 stars? It seems that almost every time I go there, the price increases. I remember paying $22 about a year ago, then $24 about 6 months ago, now $26 ($21 + 10% mandatory tip + 13% taxes).
So while the food is better, it is also reflected on the price when compared to other AYCE, and the price keeps on going up.

Terrible food, never go at lunch time especially. Lunch is $10 cheaper but they take half the menu options off not worth it. The seaweed was chewy and tasted off, the chicken teriyaki tasted like boiled chicken with barely any sauce - it tasted off as well. We got grossed out after eating a few things and barely ate anything. We told the manager we weren t satisfied and all he had to say was that we should have told him earlier, he kept rambling on and on making no sense. Considering how bad this experience was the manager should have given us at least one meal free (we barely ate anything) . He ended up giving us $4 off total, wow big deal. Never coming back again.

They purposely do not give you an iPad or sheet of paper to write down your orders, forcing you to tell the waitress what you want. This results in the waiter giving you attitude when you order more expensive items such as sashimi or beef etc, and doesn t let you order many items because it s hard to remember everything you ordered. In addition, towards the end of the meal, they take forever to bring out the meal... if you re not going going to offer AYCE, don t call yourself one! Oh and by the way, we never even ordered a lot (I don t eat much), which is even more ridiculous. If you truly want an AYCE experience without feeling like you re begging for food, choose elsewhere!

The restaurant is consistently good in its cooked dishes, particularly the beef, ribs, teriyaki salmon and veggies, which makes it a good location for groups which have some who are less fond of sushi. The sushi/sashimi dishes are generally good but not necessarily as creative/unique/diverse as available elsewhere. The restaurant is large and laid out so it can handle larger groups (up to 16 and maybe more) without much issue. Decor is fine and send to have been refreshed lately. Service is generally good. Like many other all you can eat sushi places dishes can get lost.

I ll be honest, I was hesitant to attend this restaurant due to the google reviews posted here.....But I m sooo glad I still gave it a shot. They completely extinguished any negative expectations or worries I had upon going in.

The food was FRESH, well portioned and well made. The service was SO SWEET, attentive, and appreciative. They were also actively cleaning the bathrooms, and tables when patrons were finished so I felt comfortable being in such the environment (it was our first indoor dining experience since the shut down) . We were also not left waiting for anything and neither we re any of the tables around us.

We celebrated our anniversary at Yangs for lunch and We will 100% be back!!

The cherry on top was supporting a local business. I m telling everyone about this hidden gem, and I can t wait to try the ice cream next time!

Great and better than most of the all you can eat sushi. But the portion is a bit too small. Especially sashimi. Taste is not too bad. Tips are automatically add on your bill, used to be a good place. Not anymore.

Have been going there for more than 10 years. Introduced it to my wife and now it is her favorite place. Very friendly service, they always recognized their regulars and make you feel welcome. Food tastes great and very fast service. Best deal in town. Everyone I have taken there loves it.

They keep the tables cleared of used dishes.

Our server Shirley is the best and always takes care of us.

Used to came here often (few years ago), but after this recent visit with party of 17, you are among the top of place on my black listed restaurant.

Sat down and wait to place order for over 15minutes, first round of order missing so many items & only came half; cousin complained not having anything raw (sashimi) for the first hour.

2nd round of order, sashimi finally came but not with the quantity we ordered; shrimp sashimi not fresh at all.

When ordering dessert, attitude from one of the waitress was so rude that I was swearing; when order came, there was no spoon came with it.

Arctic shellfish

Arctic shellfish
There are always small flying insects flying around
Like all buffets, it will always be less than your order, but this one will be much less...
Sashimi is still relatively fresh...

We met with friends at this spot for dinner. we heard about this place from quite a few people. Well, it was very successful. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. Warmly recommended.

This store has been in operation for a long time. I also like to eat at this restaurant. There are many dishes to choose from in the restaurant. The fish is also very fresh and the service is very good. I hope the store will be better and better.

Great environment, nice and tidy with soft music. Store is spacious and is packed on my visit of Friday dinner time. Food is great, with outstanding sushi, Raman noodles, bbq dishes, etc. All I can think of the Japanese Sushi restaurant, Yang's Sushi Bar Restaurant have them and taste great. Price is very reasonal actually and justified by food quality & wonderful service as well. Waitress is super nice and professional. Desert is also up to high standard. We ordered a big plate of Sushi and the plate is as wonderful as the Sushi themselves. My whole family were impressed and had a great time.

A bit pricy, the sushi is decent. They have everything that most places do. Some of the tables are quite small for ayce so your sort of have to order ayc fit on the table as opposed to ayce.

Horrible Service! Go somewhere else. Takes forever to get orders in, I have been here a few times and they have "run out" of items. Kitchen items are hit and miss. Today was Valentine's they charged us for a weekend dinner price without offering us the weekend dinner items!!! Called to speak to the manager and they are playing games. Go to Sake, Kaka or sushi on 7 instead! They have lost many loyal customers today!!

After the epidemic opened, the reservation was mad...

After the epidemic opened, the reservation was made and the waiter repeatedly asked to be on time to not affect the positioning time of the table below. Ten minutes before the reservation time, the store specifically called us to tell us that we must be on time, so we are on time When I arrived at the store, I was told that we need to wait for a while and let us go out because the number of people in the store has exceeded ten, but I counted the number of people in the store. Our table is positioned at 15 people, but we don t want to think about it. It s not easy to come out for a meal. It s not easy to think about the store, so I just stood out and waited for 25 minutes past the reservation time before letting us sit, so I urged us so many times at the beginning. Why? If you don t have a good time and seating arrangements, don t keep urging your customers to be on time because you ordered all-you-can-eat sushi, but you were told when you ordered the food. Most of the food restrictions at the end of Friday are not available? ? ? Why do you want to open a store without food preparation? ? ? And you didn t remind me when I made a reservation that some food restrictions are not available. ? ? Because there is a 1:30 time limit on the all-you-can-eat menu, we just ate about 50 minutes, and the waiter started to stand opposite us looking at us, meaning that we ate too long and came over for a few minutes and asked if we still want to add something? Isn t it obvious that we have been eating for a long time and want to drive us away? ? This meal is really uncomfortable and I will never come again. I want to give 0 points.

I used to love going to this place for many years but now the portions are half of what you used to get and you will most definitely not get everything you order (they can be very busy so it's understandable if they forget once, but after asking for a favourite roll a few times and not getting it, it felt like a deliberate tactic). I feel sorry to say that the experience did not feel worth the value.

Extremely terrible experience with dinner buffet on a weekday. Salmon sashimi was not fresh, and I've never had such tiny pieces of white tuna in my entire life. It is about 2 mm thick and about the size of my husband's thumb nail.

All the cooked food were heavily coated with spices and MSG which was extremely salty and made us very thirsty for the rest of the night. Ordered GRILLED salmon belly and neck, both came as DEEP FRIED instead of grilled. They were both way over-cooked ("over-fried") and the outside as dry and hard as your hardwood floor. You can tell from my pictures attached.

Grilled scallops are limited to one serving per table. Size of the scallop was tiny and the mayonnaise dressing was 3 times the size of the scallop itself. Also, the scallop was not sticking to the shell and they likely reuse the shell. Yuck!!

Worst Japanese AYCE experience in GTA. Would never return and strongly do not recommend. Save your $30+ dollars and go somewhere else.

Note: 10% tip is already included in the bill even on our party of four. Watch out for that.

Food is 4 stars. The biggest flaw is soya sauce which tastes really weird. coz you need it to dip all sushi and sashimi it affects all the flavor. Authentic japanese soya sauce should be more sweet and flavor able.

This place will fill your appetite for delicious and sumptuous cravings! We love our first visit there before that we decided to have my birthday celebration there earlier this January 2019 too!

They've a wide selection of dishes to choose from and it sets them apart from the regular AYCE sushi places.

This is a must-try for those looking for a delicious and cost-effective resto to eat!

A pretty decent AYCE sushi restaurant (haven't tried their Teppanyaki and a la carte options, so can't comment).
The menu seems to be somewhat limited in terms of the variety, compared to other places, but has more than enough to give you options and not leave you hungry.
Especially impressed by: fried mussels and spider rolls.
Not so impressed by: mushroom skewers (too salty) and miso soup (odd taste).
All the dragon rolls , California, tempura, nigiri sushi, scallops, coconut shrimp - pretty good.
The service was fast and professional, albeit not exceedingly friendly.
For the price tag (~$23 including service and tax), a solid option for me. Will come back.
