Great resource for members of the community struggling. With any need, they can help. Community resource room for computers and printing needs available too. Fun area for kids to play too. Gourmet kids play kitchen.
They have been very kind and have provided many resources to those of us in need
Great resource and very helpful. Someone earlier said basically they were useless and could get the same as dial 211. That is totally and absolutely false. Besides providing contacts for other services they provide assistance in various forms for rent, emergency needs and jobs. They also can provide referrals to other agencies that provide physical, financial and personal support.
Very helpful in helping solve my problem, very kind & respectful
One of the best programs. YCAP and it's associates bring family into county services.
A little unclear/difficult to determine exactly what services are offered, especially when it comes to whether a service they do offer is currently available or not. If you're not absolutely sure you're getting assistance as well as the exact details of the same are already in writing and have already been approved and signed into obligation, don't be sure you are getting anything from them other than a runaround.
I'm not really sure what they actually do besides refer you to other agencies. 211 does the same thing, so this just seems redundant. I've been referred to YCAP four times for assistance. Every time I call, the receptionist transfers me to someone's voicemail and I never hear back from anyone. Went in once, filled out some paperwork and I was given referrals to other agencies to assist me. I already know DHS and public housing exist, I didn't need another agency for that info.
YCAP (Yamhill County Action Partnership) is a great source for people in need of assistance. Like all social service providers, they are over-worked and under-staffed, but each person cares about the clients serviced. This agency runs homeless shelters, a food bank, has some housing developments and offers services to those seeking assistance with weatherization, energy and homelessness issues.
Excellent customer service & knowledgeable staff! Can't wait to be an active part of the program.
This place is great, EXPECIALLY if they get to help you out!!
Turned in our paper work for help with our energy bill. We got on another waiting list.
These guys are amazing. If you're having difficulty and are behind on bills they may be able to help. They treated me with respect and courtesy as we went through and filled up the applications that they help me complete and in a couple of days I qualified and they assisted me. Their an amazing group of people and you can really tell that they care about what they're doing. I would recommend them to anybody.
Kind friendly people and she went out of her way to help and direct us the to where we needed to go.. Thank you
They do some really cool stuff for the community! I enjoyed the class about fair housing!
I have visited this place on many situation, with different people that needed help in there time of need. The staff there are truely amazeing and very helpful. They are very thorough in helping me guide new and unfamiliar people with the process of reaching out for help. Which they are not accustomed to.. Thanks ycap for your dedicated volunteer services..
Wonderful employees doing amazing things for the community.
They are kinda people who do everything possible to help anyone
Great place that provides help to many county residents and a great place to volunteer.
Excellent for parents with teens to volunteer it makes a huge impact on all.
Because if you are up front and need help, they are going to help you.
Can't really recall any other agencies that go above and beyond to help people with a multitude of different Situations.
Talk about awesome people ! I can't thank you all enough for helping me stay warm , especially this Winter .... Aaron Kumnick you're the bomb ! Thanks for everything you've done for me ! Also a huge thank you to Kraig Ludwig .. Energy Services Director ... I don't know how I'll ever be able to thank you ... ( :
I had a good experience there, but it was confusing to locate the address.
This organization needs to compete for bright problem solvers instead of old we did that since the 70 s associates. They scrutinize and are so riddled with here say and gossip while saying they are not law enforcement. If they don t like an opinion or a concern they choose to abandon people by saying they are not respectful. They are disgraceful. The VA component at Ycap needs retraining or, training. It would be worth the investment. Aaron Orta and Michelle Davis are true professionals they could do wonders in training.
I would have rated zero stars but it wouldn t let me.
