I love going out to the Yale Repertory Theater. I went to to see the showing of Native Son which was an amazing. I love the coziness of the theater along with the layout of the theater. I really love the acoustics as well too. I've sat nearly every quadrant of the theater and every time I never feel like I've got to be straining to hear the show being preformed.

Saw the East Coast Premier of Manhatta by Mary Katherine Nagle. Fantastic set. The whole entire production was NYC Off Broadway Caliber! Something you'd expect from Yale Repertory being so close to NYC, with the elite Yale School of Drama pool of student designers and alumni to pull from. If you live in CT or New England and love theater, you must see a show here if you haven't already!

The plays they choose reflect the growing diversity of this nation. Giving equal time to important stories about our history, bringing great works of Shakespeare and telling untold adventures are just a few of the things Yale Rep does well.

I like the Yale Rep; it's cozier than the Shubert, but less weird than the Cabaret. Since it's toward the edge of downtown, parking is good if you know where to look. Ticket prices are ok; but I got free ones from Willoughby's

One of my favorite theatres in all of New England to catch a show. They house performances that showcase celeb actors. My favorites have been Hamlet with Paul Giamatti and A Street Car Named Desire with Joe Maganiello!

Beautiful theater. Historic. So many acting heavyweights have performed here. Definitely a must if you're in New Haven. I would recommend seeing a play at the Yale Rep over the Schubert.

Everyone is pleasant and helpful and the acting is always superb even when I am confused about the play itself. Best to sit towards the middle so you can see the stage sides and I get the audio description single ear headset as I find the description s helpful to understand the plays actions.

I finally got a chance to go to a show at Yale Rep! I was not disappointed. Inside and out, the building is beautiful. I was impressed with just about everything. The cleanliness, the free coffee downstairs before the show, the friendly staff, and the views of the stage from every seat. I can't wait to go back.

Small university theater. Small hard seats, but the small venue means nearly every seat is a good seat. Some food and drink options at normal theater pricing. Generally, very talented actors with a diverse offering of performances. With the diversity you will find some plays to meet your tastes while others certainly won t. Some of the plays were among my favorites I have ever seen at any venue and I am sad I will likely never be able to see the plays again. Other plays I have seen there should probably not go any farther than that. Lower prices than larger venues, and discounts for students.

A very cool theater and very professional. Several things to note: Do NOT be late. They don't want to let you in after the production has started. Allow time to use the restroom beforehand. They don't want you to leave your seat.
