Where do I start with this review? We chose this hotel because we had a very pleasant stay in another Wyndham G in SC and used that as our barometer, and that was the first mistake! This hotel was also close to family we were visiting, so we booked it for our trip. We were given a room on the 2nd floor, the carpet in the hallway was wavy to walk on, let alone try to navigate the luggage on it. The hallway walls were banged up, the elevators were filthy and the floor tiles in the elevator were broken and unrepaired. The ice machine on the second floor was broken, and clearly had been for some time. We had to get ice from the fourth floor, as did the entire 2nd and 3rd floor guests. Our room was decently clean, the housekeeping staff did a nice job but could not make up for the rest of the grossness. The bathroom counter was so rough and damaged over time, there is no way I would let our toothbrushes or personal items come in contact with that surface as pathogens likely proliferated there. Tile floor in the bathroom also damaged cracked and rough (see countertop complaint), the tile in the shower was broken behind the faucet so that water could get behind it, a set-up for mold. The bathtub was gummy and gross to stand on while showering, not sure what was in there! All bathroom caulking was old and damaged. The paint in the bathroom was sloppily applied and paint drips all over. The refrigerator had not been defrosted, huge block of ice in it that then intermittently melted, leaving a big puddle on the floor. I pulled back the sheet and mattress cover to check for bedbugs, found gross dried liquid as brown stains on the mattress and the biggest red stain in the middle of the mattress like hawaiian punch got spilled there. Gross hotel Do not stay here! You can't miss it, it looks like a prison from the outside, felt like one on the inside.
