Very annoyed by the speed lines and watching people go 4 or 5 times before i did!!
We had an "ok" day, my 6 year old grandson enjoyed it, however, the slide lines were impossible. Don't waste money on a zoom pass. I bought my husband and grandson a zoom pass, the "premium". This only gets you to the front while waiting for a raft for the slide. They literally spent another hour on the stairs waiting to get on. A total waste of money, I was horribly disappointed. Given the time spent in line that was the only slide they rode. Meaning, we spent $50 for them to stand in line for and hour, for ONE slide. Never again. They have to come up with a better system to charge for a "zoom pass" . Maybe talk to Kings island, the speed pass there is well worth the money, absolutely no wait.
Only reason I don't give a 5 star is because of how inconsistent, open or closed, the different places are to grab food. We have been gold members for years now and knowing the best days to go really make a difference. Monday and Wednesday are discount days if you go with someone who has a gold pass so those days will definitely be packed. Of course waiting in lines for hours to ride one slide will ruin your day so maybe pay a little extra to go on a different day. We NEVER do weekends. Over all everyone here is nice and I feel it is a very safe environment for my kids and my stuff when i want to enjoy the water myself. Prices on food are less then any other amusement park I have ever been to. Best advice be here before it opens to get an early start.
Great time, even when you rent a bungalow.awesome time spent
This place is great, tons of different rides to keep you and the family entertained, and the location of the kids pool being removed from the more trafficked areas makes it easier to keep an eye on your little ones.
Very well maintained and clean. Plenty of staff to cover all stations. Lifegaurds pay close attention to what is happening at their stations, and the lifegards switch command often, keeping them alert. Plenty of fun for all ages.
Great place to hang out and stay cool on a hot day. The lazy river is a must do.....all ages welcome
So much fun. Try and go on a cloudy weekday to avoid the crowds.
The fact they want you to STILL pay for tickets that can't be used is robbery and they know it. For you guys to force everyone to pay in advance and can't get refunds due to weather or other events is wrong. The only reason zoombezi bay is still open is because the zoo brought it. Other then that, it's still the P.O.S. it was years ago. I highly recommend that no one buys or support this horrible excuse of a business.
Update: 7/10/18
The lifeguards have become a joke. There are some good ones but the others need to go. They are cursing and saying things like I hate this job . Someone is going to get seriously hurt. The supervisors are not supervising. I am not one to just criticize. I say what I see as indicated below. This season has taken a really bad turn.
Written at the beginning of the season.
I ve never seen more attentive and organized lifeguards. It s still early in the season and I hope they can keep this up. Amazing!!!
Always reminds me of going to wyandotte lake as a kid. We always have a blast!
Awesome.....once you find a place to land. My family especially the kids had a great time!!
Great place, but not enough shaded areas. Food prices are super high. They could sell more if they had reasonable prices. I'd be there all day and would not leave to get a reasonable meal and come back.
It was ok. The cyclone slide was super fun but there we so kids being nasty in the lazy river. They were cussing mfer this mfer that and when I asked them politely to plz stop the proceeded to splash me n cuss more. There were way too many ppl in both the wave pool and the lazy river no joke! The lockers are 10$! At cedar point they aren't even that much! I dont think we will be back!
Take your money and spend the day elsewhere. The lines for the water slides do not move! And with the slides being so short, 45 minutes is not worth it. This is after admission has been limited due to COVID. Many of the slides are not open.
Excellent place, you need to go early to enjoy everything that you can offer
I didn't go to the zoo but the water park is okay..... The lines are too long, the lazy river is nasty because of all the things floating in it, there is very few food choices, and the food is not very good. Kalahari is much better.
Awesome place to soak up the sun and have fun on hot summer days.
Fun, friendly and enjoyed our time. We did the 2 day pass and absolutely enjoy the option of being able to visit both the waterpark and zoo on the same day if we decided.
The park was very clean and it had some great water slides that's worth riding on a hot summer day. The ZoomPass ride reservation system is also avaliable to skip long lines and it's a must-need for busier days. However, the things you need to buy at the park are bit pricy (especially with extra charges) and customer service is very hit and miss. If you want to spend less, I would recommend maybe going on a full day during Mon. - Fri. instead of a half day or on a weekend.
This theme park is really nice. Their prices are just a bit high for food if you are taking multiple children.
Would be better if they enforced the rules and cleaned the lazy river more often.
Our family have been Columbus Zoo and Aquarium Individual Gold Members for five consecutive years now. The Gold membership includes Zoombezi Bay as well as the rides at Jungle Jack's Landing. Gold Members also receive unlimited opportunities to pet the Stingrays, visit the Dinosaur Island attraction, ride the train, ride camels, ride ponies, and watch 4D movies, all of which are inside the Zoo. Our 6 and 4 year old have plenty to do at the water park. At 42" tall our youngest is able to play in the Tiny Tides area, Baboon Lagoon, Roaring Rapids, Dolphin Dash, Sound Surfer, and Wild Tides Wave Pool. There are plenty of dining locations including healthy options. There is also a separate entrance/exit for Zoombezi Bay members only, making getting in and out of the park easy. The Individual Gold Membership also includes parking. I can't forget to mention there are lockers, showers, family restrooms, nursing infant-mother areas and a First Aid area staffed with EMS as well as other safety staff. We have visited First Aid several times over the years and have had a positive experience each time. The staff are gentle and clearly care about your well being, especially the children! I cannot say enough good things about the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Zoombezi Bay Water Park. If you're from out of town or are just not interested in a membership, Kroger sells day tickets for both parks at the best prices that I have seen. It is important to note that the Individual Gold Membership pays for itself in about 4-5 visits though!!
it's fun and prrrfect and awesome so come there if you want to go have a happy family night have a great day
Great sunny day at the waterpark. The staff was very polite all over the park. Clean restrooms.
My hubby got hurt there with my kids!! We was having lunch out by the lunch area well him and kid's sat down and the legs brake on the table and hurt my hubby because he went down and hit his back!! When someone got there they was acting like he was lieing the table was on the ground come on!! Didn't try to give us are money back wasn't even trying to fix it or do anything to male ot right!!! Til i got mad then they gave us tickets for a other day and all the days everything was shutting down because it was end of session so couldn't use the tickets thanks guys!!
I went last year a couple of times and decided to get a membership in January for this season. I went with a friend during the opening for members only. It was a great experience since it wasn't crowded like last year. They add a bonus for this year so you can bring a friend for almost half price on Mondays and Wednesdays. However, you are unable to use the coupon online. I have been waiting on hold on the phone for over 30 minutes now with no contact with a human. I enjoyed it a lot when I went the opening weekend, but without good efficient customer service, you simply will not have a good business. I would have assumed a business would plan accordingly to the circumstances, but I guess not. As a new member this year, and having Zoombezi Bay open later in the season, then promising coupons that do not work, and not being able to reach anyone, I am unhappy with my membership and wish I could have been offered a refund due to the poor customer service. I will not be buying a season pass for next year since I feel membership holders are not being shown appreciation for. I understand COVID happened and no one could have seen it coming, but I was never offered a refund or a way to make it worth it and to show my membership was a good choice.
Nice lazy river and wave pool, and a separate adult-only lazy river. Food prices are NOT unreasonable. ~$10 for a meal. We take water bottles in. Refillable mugs are available for a fee.
This water park was fun and had a nice area for kids to play. The food was a bit mediocre and overpriced though so I would suggest eating before you come.
Kids loved this place. If you go after 2pm it's half off
Nice lille local water park with access to the zoo and a few rides. A bit pricey for the size of the park compared to kings island or cedar point.
This was my three-year-old niece 1st time. We had A-blast. They have free flotation devices for kids. They have multiple things to do. And we found out that she's a water baby through-and-through. My only complaint about the place is they have a new rule where you can only take a certain amount of food in. It's very minimal. It wasn't super hot the day we were there but I can't imagine only being able to take one bottle of water per person into a very hot situation like that. Plus One Small snack for three-year-old. Feels like a way for the park to force you to buy their overly priced treats. Other than that the park is a great place to play.
Although it can be a little crowded sometimes I always end up have so much fun no matter what I do
Great fun! Lazy river, wave pool, kids water park area, an adults only area, and large water slides! Food is good, and they have cabanas you can rent for the day. When you get admission to the water park you can also go visit the animals in the zoo!
Zoombezi Bay is so much fun! Whether you like the thrill of water slides or lazing down the"river" on a tube raft, or jumping over waves in the wave pool, or laying out in the sun, or hearing your kiddos scream with glee as a humongous bucket of water dumps out and drenches them, Zoombezi has it all. The slides are very fun. The park is not too big, so it's easy to get around. Lockers for rent inside are kinda pricey, but handy. There's a changing area inside. They've done a good job to make it feel like a fun-in-the-sun vacation day. Lots of areas for kids to play too.
Lots of fun! Slides and park are great but the way they run the Zoompass and line situation I think should be done differently! To ride a water slide you are standing in line for more than an hour. That is a little ridiculous!
Great place to relax with your family or go to the adult side and chill and drink a little
Excellent place lots to do. Kids enjoyed the waves.
My son and I had the best time! We made so many great memories.
Waters great lots to do. Hard to find places to sit and foor and drinks way over priced.
It is a nice place to cool off! Clean and lots to do. The one set back is the lines. We waited one and a half hours for a slide. We only did one slide today. The rest of the time was the wave pool or lazy river.
It was fun but the food is pretty pricey and the lines take a while but it is worth a fun night
Everything was absolutely fun. Even the Cabana the staff was amazing and very attentive. The only thing that was a problem was that the waves were shut down due to social distancing!
Perfect day there we definitely got our money worth kids husband and I enjoyed ourselves!
There is something to do for all ages. Sometimes a little to crowded
Fun, but such a small amount of rides. A lot of the available food places are also low quality with cold food charged at high prices.
Zoombeezi is genuinely fun for the whole family. The slides and attractions are exciting and fun. The lines aren't horrible most days. I particularly enjoy the adults area Crocktail Creek, which has a bar and an adults only lazy river. It's a great way to relax and enjoy a hot summer day.
The admission ticket was worth the money, however they really need to lower the parking cost of $10.
Some of the slides scratch your back but they are so much fun! Great for teens especially! Sad that the wave pool wasn t been operated.
