Lost accreditation the final semester of the nursing program, failed to tell students until it was too late for some to absorb that punch.

$13 for transcripts??? Ridiculous.

No idea how this place is a university.

WVSU is small and the staff is friendly. Had a great time on my visit and learned alot about the history of the school.

They mixed my social security number up with another person's and then tried to bill me for that person's classes. It took me and a legal team to get them to work out the billing process. I was 21 and completely independent from my mother in every way shape and form and they refused to speak to me without my "guardian" over MY financial matters. And now they have charged me for two sets of transcripts to be sent to a school im transferring to. They have yet to send either of the transcript i have paid for and want to charge me for a third knowing that without those transcripts I will have to pay to retake the classes I've already paid to take. But me being frusterated wad "unfair" to their administration. Going to this school has ruined my college experience and I am absolutely fed up only a small portion of the professors are worth the money. I was told to Google the information I missed in a class by multiple professors. The administration is in competent. The dean is not a leader, and unresponsive when you have a problem only he has the power to correct. This school needs the administrative office completely restaffed. For those of you traveling from out of state I would not suggest wasting your time and money on this school. The motto is if you can count to 8 you can go to state. Their graduation rate being low isn't due to lack of motivation from students, but it just being a terrible school.

Excellent university well worth the cost and offers a good range of online and traditional courses. Friendly hard working faculty and staff who work for the success of every student.

This campus is a JOKE! Unfortunately it isn't a funny joke.

Enjoyed my time, and still enjoying my time here. Now a junior and feel like I've learned so much through my major. Excited for where my degree takes me.

Awesome school, best professors. I'm glad i did not follow the negative reviews on here. It has one of the best graduate schools.

Took a class here after getting bachelors elsewhere , Do not go here! Poor facilities, in a bad neighborhood, both classrooms always smelled like BO, food is beyond gross, and employees were dirty. The library used gateway computers, they went out of business in 2004! Many other poor things, I am truly blessed to already have a diploma from elsewhere. I would suggest going to University of Charleston, smaller, cost much more , but cleaner , and above average professors, WVU, about the same price as state, cleaner, safer, much better facilities, I haven't attended Marshall, but I can guarantee anything is better than state.

Received a BOR went on to receive advanced certification in the Medical Laboratory field, followed that with promotion to hospital administrator. Of course salary increases came along with each jump in position. Would recommend WVSU to anyone with the ambition to succeed in their profession.

Wonderful university! Solid education on a budget. Got my bachelor's in general psychology. The campus is beautiful and staff are friendly and helpful.

Been there in collaborative, hope to return for college. I love the Professors. Doctor Ngenge is my favorite. I made and have so many friends there!

We were at Family Care. College is out for Christmas break.

Alot of very rude staff.....How did this place become a University? Such ashame.....They don't deserve this title....

West Virginia State University is a very good school with the best qualify professors.Staff and faculty are amazing. I surly recommended this school to everyone
