Simply went to Business meeting. Breakfast was great, service excellent, and appropriate meeting facilities

Stayed 2 nights in room with water view.room very nice.great facilities. Staff very easy going. Here for cold chisel concert. Great time pier one restaurant for dinner delicious preshow dinner.

The room used for the Bill Bailey gig was appropriate and certainly large enough, but the whole place needs updating and refurbishing. Bathrooms are worn and old, restaurant and bar with outdated furniture and old fashioned decor. Shame really, as it is a great location. So much potential, but for a world class establishment it falls a bit short.

When talking to the staff (whether it be reception or guest service) you have to repeat yourself over and over again as if they're not listening. My room was in an outdated building detached from the main tower...On the 2nd floor without elevator. When requested for a room change, a quick reply of we're all sold out was the only answer given. Lastly, I booked an airport shuttle from the guest service to leave first thing in the morning for 4:10am. Great thing was it was already waiting for me at 4:05 but upon telling the driver the need to check out real quick...He said if you're not back by 4:07, I'm gone. Just frustrating overall.

Service only average at best, for an international Hotel. Comunicating with some bar staff was difficult at times . ( Language difficulty's) . And NO I'm not intolerant!. Had to go to two separate bars before I could get a Cocktail, one said they don't do cocktails, and the other didn't quite know how to make it. ( Waited almost 10 min) . On the other hand, our meals and the service at the Boardwalk Cafe was excellent. The ambience was as usual great. Regards

Attended a function there and found the noise and acoustics hard to cope with. There were others in our group that also struggled with this problem

Going to the casino, the casino is on both sides of the hotel and on the first floor. There are only 5 desktop gambling games in the casino, and the rest are slot machines with fewer types of gambling. In addition, almost all the restaurants in the casino also need to book a location. If you want to have dinner at the casino restaurant, it is best to make an appointment. No appointment can go to food court

All on one floor; food&drink over-priced &needs updating from being australias oldest casino.

Overall a very disappointing experience. Two of the four meals came out approx 10 minutes apart. We specifically asked for the mushroom sauce to be placed in a side jug but when the steaks eventually arrived the sauce was smeared over the steak. The chips and the steak were actually cold! The steak had too much gristle and not worth anywhere near the $38 cost

The service was great. The room was old and outdated. The sofa was so old they couldn't get the sofa bed out. It took 3 people. They finally got it out but the mattress was thin and old so they supplied a rollaway bed instead. The view was fantastic. I've stayed at the hotel many times and would recommend the tower rooms.

i loved the food, the views and the lovely service in the restaurant. fish and chips were the best.

I had a pleasant stay at Wrest Point Hotel.
All the staff were very polite and friendly.
The breakfast included was delicious. The best eggs Benny ever!
The views from my room and from the cafe were amazing.
The facilities were great.
My room was dated but it was very comfortable.
I'm sure there are newer rooms there.
Overall it was great!
I would definitely stay there again next time that I'm in Hobart.
This is a place where you could stay a week easily. :)

View of the pier, bridge and Mount Wellington. Great breakfast with fruits, juices, milks and cofees, teas, breads, eggs, yoghurts, pancakes, jellys, honey, sausage, bacon, beans and even steamed pork buns! Kettle and complimentary tea in the bedroom.

Great service, good food, spectacular views, all of which you pay money for, but with it.

Average food choices & meal. Others had the roast which was also ok. Concensus was: wouldn't go there again. The upstairs lunch which isn't on any more was very good. Sorry for the average report but that was the best I could give. I would have scored it 2& 1/2 if it was available.

Went to watch Richmond collingwood game in sports bar on 27/7 one of the staff members was very very rude changed the Chanel told us we had to move from where we were sitting. There were no chairs left in other area my husband is disabled so we couldn't sit on stools so we had to leave very upset wife

Terrible hotel can hear everything from the next bathroom and from the hallway. Room is so dated!

Great views and a fantastic entertainment venue. Caters for all ages and is wheelchair and disability friendly. Large range of restaurants, affordable accommodation, room service, valet parking, corporate and function facilities with entertainment hall showcasing high profile acts. Casino and gaming machines as well.

Excellent for conferences and the food and service was great

If in Hobart worth dropping in for a look around, great views over the marina and towards Tasman bridge. The food in the buffet and cafe very nice and great value. A toasted sandwich served with chips and salad and a cappuccino cost me $16.50. The staff provide good service but need to be a bit more welcoming and learn how to smile

Wrest point was a nice place to stay in, clean rooms and comfortable sleeping. Only downfall was their elevator as it was a bit small and looked a bit dodgy. Otherwise everything else was quite good. It also had nice views.

Good place to spend some time, eat or obviously gamble.
It Was the first casino in Australia, a Hobart tradition.

Hotel room with the habour view is 5 stars and is what I enjoyed most about this place, besides that it is pretty run-down and old, lots of areas closed due to flooding damage.

Accomodation with a view. Staff all very helpful prompt service. Bathroom very small. So many restaurants and cafes here at Wrest Point but none provide a vegan option.

The location is about 2kms away from Salamanca. The hotel itself is alright, not really worth the money. The food in the restaurants wasn't good, the breakfast spread was disappointing as well. All in all not worth it unless all.yoi want to do is gamble.

Shame the gaming main area was closed due to flood damage

We had dinner in the New renovated Chinese Restaurant apparently nothing to do with the Casino.

Nice venue. Check in wasn't available till much later than advised. Complimentary drink tickets had limited availability within venue. Premises are very clean and most staff are nice. More entertainment in locations around the venue is highly advisable particularly for weekend - not everyone plays pokies!

Beautiful waterside cafes and restaurants, friendly gym, great shows.

Rooms are ok. Staff are average. Probably wouldnt stay there again. Its like a poorly run club.

Amazing views and BEST SERVICE ever. We arrived slightly before check-in time and as room we booked was busy we were upgraded to better suit with no extra costs. Thank you so much!

The hotel rooms with harbor views are nice, clean and spacious. Bathrooms are small but clean, showers could use an upgrade.
I would warn against the motel part however! It is a bit of a scary place: old mouldy smelling carpets on the floors, no elevators as you descend a number of levels down (if one has a few bags, it is not an easy exercise), overall old and depressing, leaving one feeling claustrophobic.
The reception staff is plesant and helpful but scarce, therefore checking in and out takes time...
The buffet breakfast is average and expensive for a breakfast, however the revolving restaurant at the top floor is worth experiencing! Great food, excellent service and nice views! Not a good idea if you suffer from motion sickness !

We had a great meal at the all you can eat bistro, with a couple of drinks & had a bit of a play on the pokies & had a bit of a win which was nice all round

The location is perfect, the interior of the room is quite old but it is still good. The only complain is the service because some employee dont have patience to take care of your inquiry/needs.

Build in the 70s of last century and still looks like. However, only little worn out like the carpet in the room. But anything else is fine. Definitely worth the money and don't forget to stop by at the revolving restaurant on the 17t floor

Nice view but the buffet breakfast was ok. It s nothing special for the prize you pay. The manager Danny Wong was very professional and fixed our problem straight away with the rooms.

Worse Casino in Australia, maybe in the world. The security guys are stupid. They blocked me in the entrance because I wore a slacks. It is understandable because some casino have that stupid dress code(mostly in some small cities like Perth but never happened in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane). I m happy to respect the rule but what was funny was that I wore the same slacks in last night and the security guys did not tell me it isn t allowed. What made me angry was someone just walked out of the Casino with beach shots and slippers. I was wearing slim slacks and sneakers, it is casual, but ways more formal than that...It doesn t make sense and they said if you wear a short I ll let you in . Is that a reasonable explain? The guy contacted all his boys for blocking me at each entrance and made me feel so unwelcome. I can not expect a worse experience happened to me tonight in this place and next time I will bring my best suit(or a beach shorts)for a holiday here and maybe I can make the small casino tour possible. Or they still block me because they are racism. Thanks for this highlighted my holiday, and the security guys are too kind to save my money, non of my friends and families will step in this place if they come to Hobart.

It's a casino. Lighting isn't the best. Chocolate fountain is a novelty

Cool casino with lots of different machines. Buffet was good with great variety and a choc fountain!
