Large model railway layout with different town, county and industrial views. Great to see such detail. Additional displays of many locomotives, coaches, posters and trackside furniture. Small shop also selling models, accessories etc. Only mark this down because not many trains we running when we visited.
Went here today and me and my girlfriend had a great time looking around, a nice break from the beach and sun!
Haven't been here for nearly 40 years and it's exactly the same now as the last time - disappointing
Only went to keep my brother company but was instantly fascinated. A great way to spend an hour
Returned here after 20 odd years. If you are interested in toy trains or have children then a visit is worthwhile. If you are a Railway Modeller then the displays of years gone by model trains in cabinets round the walls will take you back down memory lane. No parking nearby. Best to try and get to the council car park on the harbour and then it's a 3 minute walk. It's behind a low rise flat complex.
Terrible - waste of money. Done in less than 10 minutes and very little to see.
Very disappointing Looks like most of the exhibits hadn t been touched cleaned or updated in a number of years. Strictly for serious enthusiasts only

If you want to see any of these kind live model railway is worth a look. Be a bit disappointed with the guy who is working there. I'm feeling a bit treated like someone who isn't a welcomed there.

Great place. Kept our kids interested for about 90 minutes.
Fun little place but very expensive for what it is. You can be through it all in less than 5 mins. Can be dragged out for 15 mins, maybe 20 at most.

Slightly pricey for the size but definitely worth a visit. My 4 year old enjoyed controlling the Thomas train.
It's ok, chaps behind counter very nice and jolly. If you haven't seen the railway before its probably worth a visit. The shop is lacking a tad as I was expecting to purchase a new loco for my railway but choice is bit limited so didn't bother. Having been to a few exhibitions of model railway I think this one is a little overpriced and some more maintenance might make a difference. Don't be put off though, just keep your expectations realistic.
If you're into model trains this is the place for you. So much time and effort has gone into putting it all together. Knocked a star off as I thought it was a little pricy for what it is, however I appreciate the upkeep and effort that has gone into it.

Very dissapointing, it gets such publicity and was pretty meagre to be honest. It's one dark room of average model setup. You'd be out in 5 minutes flat.
It's a fantastic place to visit and under 5 goes free it's great for the kids because they can push the Buttons it has a Thomas the tank engine setup I would recommend this place to all families to visit it is a little bit hard to find but well worth it when you do
Useless.... travelled 1 hour with the kids to find out they were not open... well done for wasting all our time and disappointment useless bunch. Sort yourselves out... it s a business isn t it?!
Expensive visit for what it is, however it is a well crafted circuit with well programmed trains. Era wise there is not much consistency if that is something of importance. There are also a few other fun mini model tracks to enjoy

Such friendly staff, who were exceptionally helpful. Our 3 children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was a pleasant change that they could press buttons and make trains start and stop. A good, honest attraction.
A small place but worth a look they had good layout and stuff for children to play with trains and things to spot in the railway

Excellent place to go if model trains is you thing. My advice, go off season so you can soak up all the layout. Lots of details you will miss if you rush.
Good model railway. Been there about 7 years ago and has not really changed in terms of size which was quite disappointing but still nevertheless interesting
Poor display for the price. Not improved enough from last time I called and train movements were poor in certain sections.
1 big layout, two smaller ones with interesting static displays too. Excellent "I-Spy" quiz too! Lots of detail. The shop is fairly small.

An okay model railway exhibit, some cool details, not particularly grand display and not many trains actually running around. Genuine highlight was controlling the bigger toy trains. There was a good collection of old posters and old service trains with descriptions of their origin that an enthusiast would appreciate.
Still good but maybe a little bit of refurbishment in places would make it magical again.
It was way more interactive that I thought it was going to be + following the I-Spy game they give you made it lots of fun as there are things that you wouldn't notice unless you were looking carefully.
Ace a pity you ignored the urgency for my son to use a toilet as he has a condition meaning he needs to use toilet more. Plus he had a card explaining this. Pity you failed to take 1 sec to read it jus sent me to the public toilets more than 500 yards away. Do you know the meaning of DDA
Always visited here since the age of around 4 im now 31 many memories always worth a visit
It's okay to visit but more so if you are especially interested in model railways. The place is pretty small so only takes about 30 minutes to really see it all. Some of the models are interactive with little buttons turning on lights, blowing clothes on the washing line or turning a car around on a stand. My young family enjoyed the walk around and it was an escape from the reason but I felt the price was a little high for what there was to see.
Great modal railway display with lots of different things to see on the layout
There is a modest entry fee to this large model railway featuring a large range of working model trains with extensive and detailed scenic modelling. There is a smaller layout that can be operated by children, and a small but well-stocked shop. However, the main layout is looking a little dated in places.
On Thursday the 2nd of January I visited near closing time but the owner was very kind and kept the trains running and is very friendly I would highly recommend this place because, kids and adults would love this a like, this railway also did bring back some great memories and I would rate it 100 out of 10

An extensive layout with lots of trains to see. Model trains available for purchase if you wish. Very enjoyable, our grandsons have visited the model railway for the last three years and continue to have lots of fun there.
Save your money just not worth paying took all of 5 minutes to walk round Thumbs down from us
Fantastic place for young and old, really friendly staff.
A little gem of a place, tiny but so much to see. Our boys (8 and 3) were fascinated for a good hour.

Fabulous layout. Loads of different but integrated circuits, a great attention to detail. My 4 year old grandson was enthralled by it.
We visited with my 4 year old son and he loved it. We were there for well over an hour and had to drag him out in the end. Definitely good value for money.
Kids 2 and 5 (boy and girl) jumped with excitement at seeing the first model train in door way. Reasonably priced. Bit of a musty smell as you get with all museum's. Some of the buttons didn't seem to do anything. Couldn't get my son away from the large model track you get to control. I enjoyed it too.
We didn't visit here sorry but I know I want to as I haven't been here for a very long time
Great value for money my lil boy loved it so did me and ny hubby alot of work has gone into this its a hidden gem

I visited here in June 2012 and i enjoyed it. It's not the kind of place i'd normally visit but fancied trying something different and i'm glad i did. It's not the biggest attraction in Cornwall but you have to appreciate the amount of time and effort that has gone into making the displays. There're some buttons to press which all do different things to the scene in front of you, one lights a church up and another makes some ski lifts move.
The highlight of my visit was when i was operating a train and after entering a tunnel a cat came running out the other end! I asked the owner if the cat was part of the show but he said it had sneaked in and was derailing some of the trains. It was great and there's a You tube video on it if you look for "Cat vs model railway". The cat should live there and be given a job! You won't spend more than 45 minutes or so in here but it's a great pace for enthusiasts or anyone who just want's to re-live their days of having a model railway.
Enjoyed the model railway and all the small details. Found all but one event in the quiz!
Not much space but a huge collection available to see
As a model railway enthusiast I was looking forward to this though was somewhat disappointed in the admission price and the actual layout. It's very dated and is not great value for money
