Not to be missed heritage attraction. Friendly and attentive staff. Free one hour parking available on display of Parking Disc which can be collected from Council office nextdoor. For literary and heritage buffs, this is a fantastic place to visit with an abundance of natural beauty within short driving distance from the town.

Great place to visit for about 1 to 1.5 hours. Nice actors in period dress to give talks. Nice period furniture and food!
My favourite part was the little walled garden to the rear. There is also a WW1 poetry exhibit complete with hand written soldier diaries and poetry drafts. A good little place to visit but not a full day out experience.

A very intresting house to look around, a glimpse of not just William Wordsworths home but a look at how the gentry of the time lived, the national trust have done their usual fantastic job of presenting a house that you can interact with, plenty of staff on hand to pass on information to enhance the experience, there is a small garden to the rear of the house but its mainly about the house, there is a small shop on site.

Interesting to see the house as it would have been when Wordsworth lived there. Staff in period costume happy to answer questions. Museums usually say "don't touch" but here we were invited to play the harpsichord. Wonderful experience.

Super town house and garden which the National Trust have successfully transformed to effectively portray what it would have been like at the time that Wordsworth lived there.
Staff were very helpful and knowledgable eager to answer questions and we were treated to an interesting talk on how William's sister Dorothy was a great influence in is life.
We shall certainly return. Thank you.

Wonderful, informative and helpful staff. Needs to be linked to a Dove Cottage vist in Grasmere for the full fat five star Wordsworth experience. The kitchen experience is great for younger historians.
