At 11:30 on a Wednesday my wait was an hour. Well worth it! Service was excellent, food was even better. I definitely need to come back here again next time I'm in the area. My family would enjoy it.

Get here before they open, or the wait will be an hour. I'm not exaggerating, the wait AT OPENING will be an hour, almost any day. Good prices for huge portions of truly delicious food, with an eccentric ambiance. Try the creme brulee French toast.

Extremely popular bistro outside of downtown Salem. Seating is limited, arrive early or expect long wait times, which are exceedingly longer on weekends. Food and service is absolutely fantastic! The wait staff were very friendly and attentive, service was quick and the food was delightful. Only complaint would be the tea; water wasn't hot enough to steep, creating a dishwater of a drink. Still, 5 stars all the way!

I understand the concept of large portions and bling bling. I also understand the Passion the husband and wife team have for producing some of the best breakfast and lunch dishes Salem has ever had. Most of our food is and always has been amazing. I have brought many many guests there for the 1st time and they are always amazed at the portion sizes and for the most part the flavor profile. Now for the reason I did not give you guys 5 stars. The food and the service are 2nd to none in the restaurant industry. But sometimes more is not better and I would challenge you To sit down and eat a side of your bacon And tell me what you think. I have never brought in a guest that liked it and I must say even after taking it home and baking it for an additional 30 minutes it was still almost unedible. I understand the impressiveness of when those slabs come out but really it doesn't taste that great and is very chewy and hard to swallow. Every time I'm there I watch most people take it to go and most likely when they get it to their house are throwing it away. I know both of you know how to cook better than most And like I said if you were to eat the bacon you are serving, I believe 10/12 bacon would do just fine and I think your customers would be happier. I love bacon but I never order it there for myself. I only order sides of it for my guests but they almost always take 2 or 3 bites and start pulling the fat off and then get tired of messing with it.

OMG! This is hands down the best place to have a meal! I love the atmosphere, had my three year old entertained during the whole meal. He loves dogs and that is a main theme at this restaurant. Their hot chocolate is amazing! The food is amazing and served rather quickly. You can taste the freshness and quality of their ingredients. The staff is amazing, always checking in to see if you need anything. The portion sizes are huge! Two people can eat from one plate. Their biscuits are so warm and fluffy - the best I've ever tasted. Their prices are on point! I've heard the wait to get seated can be pretty harsh, but you can sign in at the restaurant and they will text you and give you 20 minutes to arrive when a table is available. We've been lucky and haven't had to wait long. We will definitely be returning!

This is my favorite restaurant in Salem for breakfast. They are simply unmatched in quality and service. The food is all homemade with high quality ingredients. Their portions are huge. And they often come to your table with free samples. The restaurant is small but cozy and quaint with a 'must visit' women's restroom. Because of this, there are often long wait times. While it's always worth the wait, I would suggest "take out" if you don't want to wait. It's always great. I can"t recommend this place highly enough.

Creme brulee stuffed French toast must be the best item on their menu.

Never was able to get parking or up the stairs to try their food.

Food & Service was Excellent! Went there for Hubby Birthday & the waitress was so sweet...she brought out a pancake w/glaze like frosting on it & sprinkles!

Bar none one of the best places to eat breakfast/brunch in Salem. Value is there and often they will surprise you with a sample of items from the menu.

Service is stupendous.

Because of the limited seating and obvious popularity, the wait times can be excruciating. A lot of times you find yourself looking for parking and waiting outside.

But worth the visit.

Well what can I say... If you want a meal made from scratch and is probably the best breakfast in Salem you need to come here. Well worth the wait.

Sitting on NE 17th Street NE, blink and you can miss Word of Mouth Neighborhood Bistro as we did twice! Parking can be challenging (we parked a block away on a side street). The wait can be daunting. The food cannot be missed! I realized I would be penning a small novel.

We come here often, big portions of very yummy food!

No matter what you do, get the creme brulee french toast!

Long wait to get in, but ever so worth it. Unique and amazing food. Mostly breakfast food.

So we waited over 2 hours to eat here. We left and went to another location to eat and was finally seated. The guest-next to us was sharing their experience at the restaurant. When the waiter finally came over we decide to go back to Word of Mouth because we were number 5 on the list. When I say it was worth the wait...I was full until 6 pm. Also, I had a Bloody Mary.

So... haven't ate here yet because there's always a wait lol but I'm giving them five stars because the food smelled and looked stupendous!! I wish they took reservations :( so I could at least have a for sure seat when I visited next. . Better luck next time i guess

BISCUITS ARE YUMMY. WAIT STAFF ARE VERY NICE. GOOD COFFEE SPEEDY SERVICE ONCE SEATED. WILL BE BACK SOMEDAY. SALEM RESIDENT.

Great little breakfast place in Salem. The food was excellent and the service was friendly.
What a great way to start the day.

The food is amazing. In truthfulness, I've only ever had the Filet Mignon Benedict and the Cinnamon Roll Pancake. But why mess with awesome? The second time I went, we were seated upstairs and had a great chat with the other two tables as we all drooled over the food. I have been frustrated by the wait before, but once again the food reminds me why.

The service is fantastic as well. It is cute, little house on a semi busy street and the parking is, well, pretty much non-existent. You will have to park on one of residential side streets. But, again, it is so worth it. It's even worth a parking ticket in my opinion! lol. The problem with reviews is everyone has their own opinion of what is good, tasty, excellent etc.

Wait time is usually at least 30 minutes. I'm not kidding. HOWEVER.... It is worth it. :) The food is freaking amazing, I always get the filet hash and one of their hand crafted mimosas. It's a unique, and fun kind of place.

THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU IF YOU ARE CLAUSTROPHOBIC. That's my only complaint! Everything is very tightly squeezed in. It can be kind of weird upstairs when everyone is at a table because there's no music and you can hear everyone else's conversation... Maybe some room dividers or something?

Otherwise I love coming here on my day off.

The food was GREAT, the parking sucks and the wait is long.

My wife and I visited this evening and we really enjoyed ourselves. You enter the parking from the front of the hotel, as it is in the underground parking lot, and is free. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We got there early on a Friday night, but even when we left it was not overly crowded.

One of those places you will remember and tell others about.

Great, fresh food. Traditional breakfast offerings with a fresh twist. I love omlettes and ordered the fresh asparagus and Brie with fresh fruit. Yummmmm! Generous portion, served piping hot and delicious. Can't wait to try lunch sometime.

Walked in and the front of the house person had seen us and walked away to seat someone. That was fine until it passed 20 min and he hadn t returned to put us on the list and another couple had come in and he had put them and two other parties before us after I reminded him I needed to get on the list. The wait was ridiculous for the fact that everyone was seated before us and we were still left waiting.

Easily one of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere. It's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu - there are great sweet and savory items, and you can get the best of both worlds with options like the Plate O' Love or "From Scratch". I recommend the latter, paired with the uh-maze-ing cinnamon roll pancake. Get here early, else you'll be waiting for a table!

Top notch! Excellent menu. Expect a wait to get in. Reasonably priced. You're stuffed when you leave there. You can get your order to go if you don't want to wait. They should expand to more locations.

Fun employees. Cool, modern, funny decoration. To top it all off the food is amazing and the portions are huge!!!

Got excellent food and service. Creme Brulee french toast with custard and a number of signature brunch dishes. Very thick and tasty cuts of bacon. On weekends expect to give a mobile number and get summoned back two hours later.

Absolutely LOVE this place. Everything is perfect except their demand has outgrown their establishment. Wait times of 2 hours means it's good but it's too small. The food is worth of a 2 hour wait though. Huge portions. Cooked perfectly as requested. Clean place. Very fine staff. Will go again once a month until I leave Salem.

Was visiting Oregon from Utah and a friend suggested to try this place and maaaan...hands down the BEST French toast I have ever had. Also the portions are huge for a decent price. We knew there would be a wait(cause its so dang good) and we waited 90 minutes for a seat but the wait was definitely worth it.

Probably our favorite breakfast place in Salem; a one of my favorite I have been to. The quality of the food is amazing, they give you enough food to make a second meal out of it later, and service has always been excellent. The bad news is that it is super crowded in here every time we have gone, and the wait can be atrocious, but it is the cost to pay for a consistently great location.

Never got in here cause they didn't think of the fact that people need to be able to park. Won't try again.
