Beach covered in plastic and lots of dogs running loose on the small section reserved for families without dogs. As dad with 3 children one of which us three playing in the sand is not an option. Had some great holidays here but this will be our last. I suggest they just make the whole beach a dog zone and then we all know where we stand.

Beautiful camp site. Well maintained great facilities and arcade.. gives you that nostalgic vibe even though it was my first time going. Didnt need to step out the campsite for anything other than gas for the caravan.

Had a great family holiday for a week at Golden coast. Stayed in a silver apartment. It was newly refurbished. My kids had a fab time with loads of activities, although the indoor pool was not up to the high standards but outdoor pool and water slides were great fun and nice. My 6 year old son had loads of fun fishing in their lake, Caught his first Carp fish , he was so happy. Woolacombe beach is lovely and very close. Did visit the other parks too. Will go there again.

Nice facilities and kids club staff great with kids. Clean park with lovely views of Woolacombe beach. Bit of a hike to the beach with the kids and hilly on return. Kids loved the pools and play area. Food was ok but on pricey side as you'd expect on site. Would recommend to friends with younger kids visiting Devon.

This was an amzing break, friends had said it was good however i wanted to find out for ourselves. It didn't disappoint. Greeted at reception by an informative member of staff, even though we were a late arrival out of peak season, normally places have made us find a security guard. Main building had recieved a major redevelopment which gave the place a fresh trendy feel. The huge window in the dinning room were great, could have stared outside for hours. Food menu okay, huge portions. Not many healthy choices or vegetarian options. Something for them to work on. Was impressed with the variety of activities we could choose from. We all tried the Woolacombe Wave at golden coast, a sister site. This was great fun, well informed trainer, only downside was the changing facilities. As there were lots of young girls in the ladies changing room I didn't want to change with them, so got really cold. Didn't spoil the fun as i went into the bar and enjoyed a massive hot chocolate. Fantastic weekend, forgot to mention the mini spa. Will definitely be back again, hopefully for longer.

Very well run holiday park. Great on site facilities, indoor and outdoor pools, clean changing rooms, lovely restaurant overlooking the sea, friendly staff all round. Good on site shop, laundrette and takeaway food. Entertainment venue is well set up. The crazy golf really needs ripping out and replacing ideally, but is playable and is free after all, so shouldn't complain. Lots of outdoor activities for children and adults. Use of all 4 parks facilities when staying at any of their sites. The Surf Village accommodation is fantastic, well worth the extra cost (save up, you won't regret it) great location within a separate area of the main park, very quiet and dogs not allowed, so no mess or noise (I am not anti-dogs, just anti- irresponsible dog owners). There are certain caravans on site allocated to accommodate pets though. A lot of investment has been made in Woolacombe Bay and Twitchen House holiday parks, just need the same at Golden Coast and Easewell Farm (when possible). We will be returning as soon as the dreaded lurgy has been quashed and hope to enjoy many more holidays here in the future.

Great place for the entire family. Staff are nice and the entertainment is great for kids. Accomodation was nice although we did experience a few problems which to be fair was fixed within 24 hours of reporting it to reception. Light bulb went out in one of the bedrooms, the oven heating element had collapsed, the toaster was very temperamental as we had to hold the lever down for it to actually work, which was annoying and made the outside of the toaster very hot to touch!!
We used the pull out bed and when we first opened it the mattress had an awful stain on it which was very off-putting, when we asked for another duvet it was too short for the duvet cover. Unfortunately the cushions of the sofa were dusty and bad crumbs everywhere! Sigh, other than that it was nice lol. I like how they had recycling bins situated in a number of locations.

Lovely place, fantastic views no matter your lodge or caravan. 1 Receptionist was a little rude but didn't deter from the rest of the lovely and kind staff. So much for kids to do, we went in early May and it was quiet, didn't stop them More

Due to Covid 19 you had to pull into a field to obtain your caravan number etc. You were then given directions to your caravan. Very quick and easy.
Our caravan, B06 was spotlessly clean, beds were made up and you were also given washing up cloths, liquid etc plus rubbish bags for the bins. The caravan itsself was lovely, very modern and light, the beds were comfy and the heating was immediate. Even the tv had lots of channels and they all worked.
Woolacombe Bay is a lovely site with views looking out to the sea. The only thing it doesnt have is a cafe/restaurant/take away. You have to travel to one of the sister parks and eat at The Mill House, (review later). This to me isnt right, what about the people who do not drive.
Other than that, you have everything you need...a lovely swimming pool, indoor and out, an arcade, spent a fortune here, lol, a big onsite shop, gym, entertainment etc etc. In all the park is wonderful, very clean and tidy. I would definitely go back, even just to watch the beautiful sunsets.

Park very good for families but be carefull if you have mobility problems it's on a hill. Food and drinks over priced. Usual entertainment. Clean facilities. The gym very small but beautiful view. Swimming pool good. Caravan clean but didn't like the 3 bedroom layout to many doors in one space. There was only two of us so heaven knows what it would be like with children. Bed very comfortable and limited crockery, utensils etc. On the whole a good clean holiday park.

Went here two years ago, tried to book for last year but ended up in the village by mistake, will definitely be booking here for this year, loved the place, staff were amazing.
We went back this year and had a wonderful holiday, the staff in the main bar and restaurant were amazing, always lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and the first night we had bit of trouble with our TV, within 20 minutes there was a lovely, friendly man in to sort it out for us, will definitely be booking again next year.

Beautiful beach, and brilliant site. What brilliant weather for October! More of a family holiday destination than one for teens or party's but none the less a brilliant experience. The shop is open 8 till 8 and the reception all the time. With a wrist band you get access to most of the services on site, but if the weather is good you won't need it; just go to the beach! I hope to go back again soon.

Filthy, Dangerous and Broken Vans, Very Rude Staff...

Filthy, Dangerous and Broken Vans, Very Rude Staff
18 June 2016
We stayed this year at Twitchen house, we have been a customer of this park for 10 years or more but were deeply disappointed and will not be returning again.
The check in times have been getting later and later every year. We booked a Silver caravan this year. On arrival we were told they were fully booked but when we got to our van noticed we had been put in a Bronze Caravan. We didn't bother mentioning this at the time because we have children and had shopping to get in the freezer and just wanted to get on with our holiday and didn't think it would be a problem when we did get time to speak to the staff.
The caravan was missing parts out of the oven so that was unusable, the shower and toilet was filthy dirty with old hair and grime everywhere, the shower was broken and the base split right through so water was leaking out everywhere under the van, we only had one small saucepan to cook with, there were sharp dangerous screws poking out of the wood where the sofa bed was located.
Towards the middle of the week we decided to speak to reception and mention our concerns. We are not usually ones to complain but thought we should mention the problems. All we really wanted was to be compensated for the fact we were given a Bronze caravan instead of a Silver, what we thought was quite reasonable. All we were faced with was very rude staff trying to fob us off with ridiculous reasons as to why we were put in a Bronze and not a Silver.Apparently Bronze can be upgraded to Silver Hmmm. It wasn't even a new Bronze it was damaged and dirty. We decided to write in a complaint when we got home and hoped it would be sorted but again just fobbed off with the fact that the bronze had been upgraded to a silver. We paid for silver so expected silver.
It's a shame the management there have no customer service skills at all considering the amount of money I have spent over the years going to the park. Disgrace really, I won't be going back and advise people to check out the other parks in the area even if they are a little more expensive.

Stayed June 2016, travelled with family

After a previous review we wrote Aimee Watt the General Manager replied with
"We have received a letter direct from yourself, and I will be addressing the specifics of your complaint direct with you instead of on a review site. "
It is now September and we still haven't heard anything from her or Woolacombe Bay holiday park.

As soon as you pull onto the park beautifull bedding flowers can tell straight away the family owned business has pride in what they do and they are good at it, third year have come back now spotless clean Caravans and area. Swimming pool is always very clean and the food is excellent read some reviews saying it is expensive I think reasonable as food is great I've had worse in a lot more expensive restraunts. It is really child friendly I've noticed the staff uniforms always look tidy too. Doing a great job it's easy to keep it looking good for a year or so after a make over but too keep on top of it like you have is a credit too you all from Management to Cleaners all doing an excellent job in my opinion. Even provide a Bus too the beach of which we use the car just out of convniece really. Keep up the good work
