As a corporation speaking asa resident , I am severely disappointed in Woodmont Properties. I reside at woodmont hills, sloatsburg.
Initially when I moved here in October I was told that fewer numbers of buildings would be constructed, not so.
We would have free streaming tv. We were not given passwords media services throughout clubhouse deplorable.
Certain animal breeds, number of pets, sizes not adhered to.
During the pandemic s initial hit to New York all amenities cancelled. That is understandable. In Late May or June Louie Devoy sent a letter announcing 2 barbecues out of 4 would be utilized. First of all 4 barbecues for the upcoming 15 buildings in 1clubhouse, with 1 pool ludicrous. He also made note that we were to be thrilled that leasing offices would be opened. How does this help residents?????
Back to the amenities as we are in phase 4 today 7/7/20 2 barbecues, no clubhouse at all, yesterday we received a notice saying pool would be closed to lack of social distancing attendant. This also occurred on 7/3. First of all what company did you hire?????Today I noticed pool was open. No notice that pool was open with a certified pool attendant was sent out to us. Maybe residents wanted to attend pool, but due to poor communication they made other plans.
What is appalling is 1 $40 credit that was given to us on our rent. We paid $600 for the amenities as of March had none , 2 barbecues for a great number of people is not work $50 a month. 50x12=$600. So since mid March we continue to be owed 50 $ a month. Yes the Pool is opened with less hours, and we cannot stay but 90 minutes. Again not worth $ 50 a month.
These apartments may be New , certainly not worth the cost of what I paid for. 2,680 is the cost of a mortgage payment for a house mortgage. We live in a 2 bdrm , 2 bath home for 2,680.
I can t speak for others, my family and I came here upon the premise that we would enjoy life at Woodmont until we moved next year. People come here to enjoy a clubhouse feeling. Your company misled us and our lease agreement in not true to form, which to me makes it invalid!!!! A $40 credit is disgusting. I would not recommend any Woodmont Property to anyone!!!
The only positive I can say is that maintenance of buildings is quite good. Our maintenance supervisor at Woodmont Hills goes above and beyond his duties.

Do not recommend any property this company owns, as a current resident of Woodmont Palmer.

What you have to look forward to:

Three days of snow removal between the hours and for extended hour of 1am-4am, because that is when the vendor prefers to work, instead of the afternoon, when there is plenty of snow has accumulated and ready for removal.

So good luck with being productive at work when you have a migraine and are exhausted from multiple sleepless nights.

Honestly we should really demand more protection for ourselves when we are required to agree to a contract. The idea that at anytime only one party has the right to change anything about the "contract" would mean it really is not a contract, as if you make a change then I should be able to counter with a response, but I digress. What makes this "business" horrific is all the many ways they force residents into situations that benefits only the business. Case in point the location I live at WOODMONT AT PALMER, has a package room that I had no idea was forced and not optional as it was presented as an amenities feature not a you can not receive packages at your door. And let me say that form the onset this has been a very painful requirement of this property. When you go to the package lockers or room it is a gamble as to if you would actually be able to find your package. But this is not even the worse of it. There is a delay and most often I do not receive the notification for an entire 24hr after the package has been delivered, how is this even legal, I have no idea? Or the amount of time everyone spends trying to locate their package as the package room is bombarded with 50 packages and you are forced to look at every single one, and we are all aware that you often receive a notification that you have received 1 package and find 3 in the room. I really enjoy it when I have to call because I received notification from my shipper that the package was delivered but I have no notification with a code to pick up my package. The most painful is when I had a bruise on my arm (for 2 weeks) as getting a package that is 80lbs to my door is not something I thought I would have to consider when that is part of the delivery service of UPS and FedEx, but they get to do a portion of the job and I have to now figure out how to get a package to my door. DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.

I wish I could give no stars. Horrible customer service. They don't care about any of their tenants or even people in general. All they care about is money and it sure comes out in their nasty attitude.

They stole my deposit when I moved out. Charged me for rug the replacement that was bad to begin with. The rug was the the original, 12 years, and was washed twice when we moved in.
The management has real attitude toward the tenants.
