This is a tough review.. after a year I understand why some stay and why some leave. As for pay, the LTL pay that most chase seemed to really only make up for the time spent sitting at docks and unpaid mileage. Delivery times are typically spread out causing drivers to log consecutive 14.. hour days and minimum breaks. Safety and dispatch was forgiving, as myself and other new drivers made rookie mistakes, and dispatch was professional and as flexible as possible. Bonus pay seems to be on decline as recent changes reduce fuel bonuses, and any minor ticket can eliminate a performance bonus. Witte runs a tight ship, and you will know how to drive and run your clock after a year with them, I do appreciate the experience. Special thanks to Johnny, Troy, Dennis, Rich, and Billy.

Delivering to the cold storage and arrived 1.5 hours late due to personal issues and my carrier rescheduled for the next morning. I really appreciate and thank the cold storage manager/supervisor for allowing me to get unloaded today instead of the next morning. More so, it enabled me to get this load in next week's payroll. I'm beyond thankful.

This company does NOT stand behind there word!!! There driver backed into our driver in a dock and REFUSES to pay all damages. (Initially agreed to a supplement and now won't stand behind it) We have sent them invoices to prove everything and still nothing. Not to mention we have loss of revenue!

I love Witte Bros. I went through school here and the drive for them for over the next year n half. They re so awesome from the DSS team to Safety Dept. To my instructors in school.
I will always be a Witte Girl at heart. I have left the company for more pay but I will forever be grateful for my experience and knowledge given and the love that I got from being a part of the Witte Family.
Trucks are great.
You can always know that the Shop will have you taken care of. If something happens and you need to get home you know they will get you there.
Big shout to Dawnalynn, Jessi, Kyle, Carrie, & Jake.

Great place to deliver. Has overnight parking. Shipping/receiving office is by door 40. Opens at 7:00 am. Had appointment at 10:00am, checked in at 8:00am, empty at 9:00am. No complaints.

They arranged a job offer for me, told me that the trainer could pick me up in my town, and then I drove more than 100+ miles ONE WAY for unpaid orientation - to be told afterwards that he never said the trainer would pick me up. He then told me "your ride is not the trainer's responsibility" when I mentioned asking my trainer if I could carpool with him (since he lives in my town).

I'm not seeing what's wrong with asking someone to carpool. Apparently this company thinks that you're supposed to want to drive 200+ miles - every week on your 1-2 days off because they will charge you per mile if you want to take a company truck home so that transportation is easier.

They called me the morning after orientation to let me know I'm "not a good fit" for the company because I have problems I brought up. This is AFTER I told them I would rather stay out for 3 weeks and go home for 1 week so as to put less driving on my personal car.

They don't want you driving for a company (like grubhub, pizza hut, etc) on your off time because it could affect your 34 hrs, but apparently having drivers drive 2+ hrs into/from work every week doesn't affect it.

Laid-back environment, give you plenty of time for deliveries. Newer model truck, well maintained. Owner is always in the office, so matter what issue you may have it can be taken care of. Plenty of money to be made there, your pay is based off how you wanna run.

I have had nothing but disappointment dealing with WITTE BROS. I distribute ice cream and my manufacturer selected this company to do their LTL. Witte Bros is NEVER on time. Sometimes 6-8 hrs or even a day or two depending on their loads. More
