I adopted a cat from here recently. After the adoption was complete and I donated a substantial sum to them, they let me know the cat was not vetted entirely by their veterinarians. Not only did they "not get a good look at her" even though she had been spayed the day before they adopted her out to me, they also let me know the hadn't had an FLV test, and I had to pay for that immediately as well as a booster she was due for.

I also had to pay for yet another piece of testing for worms, and at the time I'm writing this review, it's been over 2 weeks and I still can't let this new cat in every part of the house because of basic, normal screening that every shelter I've ever worked with in my life does.

I would give them 0 stars if I could, and I'm never supporting this or any other Humane Society of America cause/location. Better to help those who actually do the proper due diligence before putting animals and people into uncomfortable, anxious situations for weeks after the adoption process is complete.

We adopted a dog from here almost a week ago and he's the best fit to our family. Our visit went smoothly and so did our adoption. The counselor who helped us was great.

They were amazing and just so wonderful to my family my kitty loves his new home and I couldn t be happier

They made the process the easiest thing in the world when it came to adopting our pup! I could not be happier with how easily it was. Our pup is in good health and he s been seriously amazing! My only complaint is that they refuse to label dog breeds. And while I understand the purpose behind that. I still wish they did. But all in all. Amazing experience. And amazing staff. I love them! And I will be adopting from them again in the future when our pup is fully able to be out of his kennel when we leave for work. Then we plan on getting another:)

Got my precious ginger tabby when I was about 7 so 12 years ago now. He is still going strong and one of the best cats I ve ever had. Loves to take naps with me and be pet. He also loves playing with string and laying in boxes. No health issues at all! Even at his age!

My visit to the humane society was awesome! I adopted my loving playful cat nipsy. I will be back soon to adopt another pet.!

Went in thinking we would just take a look, and ended up leaving with our forever pet. Chuck helped us through the process of finding a dog that fit both mine and my partner s wants, and after missing out on a puppy we had wanted to look at we were directed to Mavis. She was extremely scared and anxious, but after we gave her a chance she really showed us how much love she had. The people here do an amazing job, and have really changed our lives.

My family always adopts from here. They re always friendly and helpful, especially while helping determine whether the animal and you are fit for each other.
