Steve Wirtz and gang built our home in 2006. I could spend hours telling stories about our experience. The house is on the corner of Fisher rd and forest Ave. In hickory heights subdivision. We sold it and moved to AZ, last year. I believe Steve is a smooth talker, but doesn't follow up. I hope he has improved his communication over the years.. When the plumber cut a hole in the floor of the basement in the wrong area, and hauled copper pipes in when the plan clearly says peks tubing and put the shower unit in the wrong bathroom that was sort of the beginning, part of the problem was we had all these subcontractors and the General contractor (Steve) let them do their own thing instead of monitoring their work. BIG AL the carpenter shot a 2x4 through the finished drywall in the kitchen, then he filled the hole with putty to hide it, lol he didn't want to cut boards in the garage to far to walk. One big thing is one of the guys sloped the concrete wrong by the patio door, and years later we had water seeping in the sunroom I found out when the floor got spongy. We paid dearly to fix that situation, could have been avoided. The year our house was built Steve decided to build a parade home to sell, deadlines etc. our house was delayed. I physically had to go over there and ask them to work on ours. Oh yes, Steve baby, he thought I was crazy complaining about these things. I think our house was his first build, I guess his brother is a great home builder. Its over we survived, can't recommend the guy and sometimes wondered where he got his crew, some seemed pretty shady. The only one we were happy with was our electrician. I think I'll end this now, maybe I'll come back sometime with more info about this experience. Buyer beware, and this wasn't the 1st house we built either... We never got an apology for any of it, he never answered his phone or spoke to us again when the house was finished.
