Awsome experience I highly recomend it to anyone interested in outdoor activities
Love this place. Has everything from beginner to expert trails, trees and terrain parks. For the price, can't beat it. Also, way better than driving to Summit County.
The alpine slide is amazing! Also, free parking is available in the parking garage
Solid mountain. The combo with Mary Jane makes it something special. Almost no town though.
Family fun all over the place, awesome terrain to ski n ride, this place put a lot of thought into servicing there customers and it shows! If u don t have fun at this place your just doing it wrong.
I love Winter Park a d Mary Jane. There is a good variety of terrain and the staff is always great. I ve brought small children to learn here and there are some nice bunny hills for them. Lots of food and beer/hot chocolate choices.
Wow! Love this resort. All the latest and greatest tech, great village, hugh, well marked mountain w lots of amenities
Probably a good spot for beginners, but, busy, so busy, always so busy. Terrain is very mellow and tame, lacking anything steep. Also, a ton of flat or uphill spots which can make it incredibly difficult for snowboarders If they don t have the correct wax. They need some high speed lifts too. They re not the slowest, but not exactly fast either.
Riding here too much will stunt your growth and probably make you a weak rider.
I've been to Winter Park for years! The views are always breathtaking and the instructors there are more than happy to help. The past few visits I have noticed that they have increased their ski patrol and amount of hosts to keep us safe!
Awesome Downhill MTB and very reasonable price for lift tickets. Rental bikes, no so much
I maybe bias, but I've grown up on this mountain and don't plan on switching ski resorts anytime soon ;)
Alpine slide is so much fun. My kids loved it and so did Mom and Dad. I will be going back for sure.
You like snow, skiing, open places and with small and cozy businesses, this is the place for you
Great resort for tourists. Slow lifts, long lines, lots of flat terrain, good long walks to the bottom of the lifts. The food at Snoasis is sub-par and expensive. Save time and money! Leave your skis at Snoasis, walk to town in your boots, eat in town and walk back.
Highway 40 is not very well maintained. Green's were narrow and flat. Blues had an insane number of moguls. Felt very crowded on the mountain.
That was the bad. Now for the good. Lift lines were very short. Views were incredible. Great vibe to the mountain. Lots of interesting terrain. Accessible bowl.
Overall had a fun time!
Great place to ski or board, they have trails for all levels of skiing
This place is so cute! Well worth stopping by. Can't wait to see if with the snow! xXx
Generally speaking its good, I skied here for 2 seasons. However during COVID-19, this place is lack of management, huge line in front of gondola and they don't even have a clear sign to tell you where is the end of the line. If you couldn't take so many people then just stop selling tickets. Avarice and put so many people in danger are not a good ski resort should do.
It's one of the best ski resorts I've been to. RFID chips are imbedded into the tickets so boarding lifts is quick, and and the trails are well maintained.
Best Mt. Biking I've done in CO. Fast flowy trails.
Man it felt good to be back in CO for some skiing. I went with a bunch of friends. I'll be honest, Winter park was not my first choice, but it worked with our other plans better than other options. I had a blast. There were a lot of lifts so it was easy to get around. We got there early and stayed till they closed, I didn't ski the same path twice (except thoes ones that get you to the base)
It only felt crowded once. And there is a green on the bottom that I wish was a little more sloped or something. I remember a lot of skating and one of our boarders walked. Woof. I wish I could complain about the price but they are competitively priced, so that feels more like a wash.
All this said, it was still a ton of fun and would do it again.
Lots of fun for a family. The summer single day pass seems overpriced. Just not enough activities to justify the expense. The Alpine Slide is a blast. But their are only a few other day pass activities beyond that. Why done stars??? This is one of my favorite resorts in the country in the winter. Amazing skiing options and plenty of slopes from beginner to expert. Overall, a fun atmosphere but my favorite time to visit is winter. With that in mind they are doing a good job of offering more reasons to visit in the summer!
Resort town, good social distancing protocols, gondola ride was fun but the price was steeper than the lift.
Rating solely based on THIS stay.
Wanted rest, peace & quiet and definitely got it. Love staying here as well when there are special events and throngs of people make it festive. So, depending on what we want, we can time our stay.
Our only disappointment this stay was the fact that there was NO NOTICE/ADVISORY on their website that the whole village was closed on the days we were there, ergo....ALL food outlets/restaurants were closed.
Though we enjoyed finding new favorites to dine in in Fraser, it was the lack of info that did not sit well with us.
One bonus this stay, FREE Parking as it was the end of ski season.
Check-in reception/staff was quick, friendly and very helpful.
Not sure if blame is on the same staff for assigning us the unit we were assigned to or he was just following a room assignment list. (See separate review for our stay at Fraser Crossing/Founders Pointe).
Great resort with tons of great runs. You'll be busy with all of the options. It is pricey, so prepare for that and being your food in.
A magical town!
Small but very pretty.
With many options to eat.
There is an outdoor skating rink and obviously where to ski.
Good for beginners, nice restaurants in the mountain, views are beautiful as well especially at the Mary Jane peak
Lots of different activities, good diversity in trails. The medical center was really helpful.
When it comes to the outdoor activities Winter park is the place to be
Beautiful village. Definitely stop by Goody's for a crepe and a cruffin! Solid skiing for early season. Didn't touch a rock. Waiting for more to open up.
Great place to ski. If you can afford it. In that past couple years they started to raise prices a LOT and tighten rules on day passes which makes it difficult to get a good deal. Too bad, because It used to be my go-to resort. Not anymore.
This place is awesome family friendly and dogs are welcome!!! So much to do when if you just want to hang out.
If you don't love Winter Park something is wrong with you
This management is a JOKE!!! They charged my card for something I didn't do. I called maintenance to my room to show them the problem. They assured me it was a previous problem. When I got home I found the charge on my card. I called repeatedly and received no help. When I finally talked to them they were rude! They told me it was my responsibility to check the room and make sure there was no problems. I have never been told to do an inspection on the room I paid to rent. I would tell all my friends not to stay there!! To bad there is not an option for NO stars!!
I made a reservation for staying at one of their lodges during Spring Break. When I requested a cancellation they hit me with a $100.00 cancellation fee. That is simply unacceptable!!! I made my reservation 4 months in advance and I think that it should be no problem! There are always other people that will take that room!!! Thanks for nothing Winter Park!!!
It's was amazing and all of the staff was super kind and helpful
Great for skiing. The only thing I dont like is all the walking with gear.
Winter park Resort Lodging has Friendly staff, very accommodating, clean rooms, Zephyr Mt Lodge is the best with the ski in ski out convenience. Best experience!
This is a great place to go skiing. A lot of varied terrain with a local vibe. I hope it doesn't change its attitude as it keeps growing. The new Gondola is great and most of the lifts are quick. The lessons were amazing and it definitely took my skiing level up a few notches!
Boring if you aren't mountain biking, but if you are it's a great time
Went Mnt Biking and it was super fun!
There's eatery, liquor, coffee, and clean bathrooms.
My brother and I make a trip here every summer to go mountain biking and we love. Can't wait for it every year. Already excited for next year.
Very nice place we were a bit early so not all runs were open but was still pretty amazing
Describing the awesomeness would spoil the surprise.
Lines were a bit long but the staff for the most part were nice and everything seemed to be well maintained. Fun little place to ski.
Fantastic variety of terrain. From long blue and green groomers, to steep bumps and bowls this resort has everything. As Colorado resorts go the lift lines are not terribly long. There are a large number of food and drink choices available on mountain without needing to go to the base area.
I went to winter Park resort about every other day for 2 weeks. I personally don't ski but the rest of my family does. They have a ton of shops and restaurants right at the base called the Village. There are an amazing number of trails in this park. Unfortunately if you're a watcher you can't see most of them. However, you can see a chunk of them so it's great fun to watch. They have a competition center there so it was fantastic the days that they were out practicing. I was able to sit in the Village and watch them do all the cool flips and stuff. Even after 2 weeks I was still just fine wandering around and looking in the shops. I wholeheartedly think that everyone needs to try the Pizza Pedler. Probably the best pizza I've had. A bit pricey but to be expected at a place like that. My family said that the trails were fantastic. I think there's over 150 with enough lifts that you didn't get frustrated. All skill levels from green to double black. Plenty to do for everyone wether you ski or not.
Great resort, not too many people that it gets cluttered. If it does, you can go over to Mary Jane from the Winter Park lifts
Great place to come during the summer and escape the heat. Plenty of things to do. My only complaint is I wish they would leave things like the alpine slide open past 5pm on the summer, especially when it was closed half the day because of weather.
Winter Park is nice, but it is not very snowboarder friendly. In order to get to some of the trails I like (blues) I had to cross tons of flat terrain. The food prices were ridiculous as well. No way I am coming back. Copper Mountain all the way!
Decent snow coverage upper bowls are closed right now. Snow was decent everywhere else
They could have installed patio heaters or fireplaces to offer guests and better outdoor experience.
Overall had a great experience
Great village experience at Christmas Eve. The mountain has something for everyone but some of those greens are super flat, so look out if you're on a snowboard.
Loved spending several days in Winter Park again. Snow was awesome!
Love skiing here! Been coming for well over 30 years. Tragic prices are so astronomical! Only was able to ski again this year because of the flash sale. Really hope they have it every year
People are friendly. Small town feeling. New Belgium beer! Come enjoy the mountain life!
What a wonderful place!!! The mountain is always maintained, the staff is always helpful and friendly. I'll be back for sure!
Everything is way overpriced but nice facilities conveniently located.
Snowed a couple inches while we were there. When wind died down, great conditions. During the week so no lines and had some slopes to ourselves.
I spent 4 days here and I was in love. They have slopes for everyone, wonderful bars and you can rent everything you need. As long as you re confident in yourself, go ahead and skip the ski schools and rent yourself a pair of skis and get on the slopes. Beautifully packed, perfectly maintained. I haven t been to many ski resorts but this definitely tops the charts for me. It s absolutely worth a ski pass if you leave near this wonder.
Just visited the activities in July. The alpine slide is a blast. We stayed somewhere else though.
We love vacationing in Winter Park!! Every place we went was welcoming and the restaurants are all so good!!
Very family friendly. Big park with lots of runs of all levels. Good for ages three and up. We come here with a family of five every year.
