Awful experience with their kids ski school. The worst part is they ve provided no follow up or resolution to a really negative experience. I will never trust my kids with them again, and they couldn t care less. Don t waste your money at Winter Park.

We have a second home in Winter Park and it s a decent resort that s trying hard to be better. It s good for kids, beginners and intermediates but if you re looking Steep skiing it s not really the place to go unless you like bump skiing. The terrain park is very good so if you have kids into snowboarding and freestyle they re going to like it. Considering that you re only on I 70 for short period time coming from the front range it s a very good choice. On powder days of course the skiing is amazing. It s a great compromise for front Range families. Keep in mind however that I ve skied on some of the best resorts in the world. If you are coming from New England you re going to think it s huge. If you are coming from British Columbia or the Sierra Nevada s you re not going to be impressed with the amount of snow or the steepness. There s rarely horrible ice and there is some decent tree skiing. The town of Winter Park is going through a development phase and there are more restaurants and amenities. In the summer it s great with massive amounts of trails for mountain biking and downhill riding at the ski area. Another huge benefit to the area is over 200km of Nordic ski trails. Going to Devils Thumb Ranch is a must. The lodging is solid four star in the architecture and interior spaces are really cool western themed but also modern. They even have log cabins to rent they re beautiful with heated floors and you can ski right out the front door onto the Nordic trails.. Unlike many other ski resorts off the I70 corridor it s not on the highway you can take a fat bike out and ride for three or four hours in the forest. As far as the general town amenities are concerned it s less than steamboat less than Breckenridge more than Keystone and A basin and way more than Eldora. People love the town and the resort because it retains a real Colorado ambience without the expensive glamour of most resorts.

I love winter part, its a really great resort. However, with their merger with Mary Jane some years back, that is what locked it down as one of my favorite in the Colorado area! Mary Jane's side of the mountain is extraordinary. long lines, updated lifts, big powder stashes (if you don' mind the trees), and just a great overall feel to the resort. The only reason they didn't get a 5-star review is the crowds. Too many people is why they (and most I70) resorts suffer from.

The lift is expensive and it's one of the further resorts so getting there is expensive too if you aren't planning to drive the 2/3 hours it takes from Aurora/Downtown Denver. Just for reference: you can get the lift for as low as $110 or so if you buy the ticket really early but on the spot it's $160/170. It's also kinda difficult to figure out exactly where exactly you're supposed to turn in since you have to take the sky lift to the main area of the resort then walk to where you need to go.

Great terrain and back country access. Nice groomers and lodges. Reasonably priced food and lodging. Great shops and restaurants. Gondola super gauge etc..incredible summit views. Great ski school for kids. Tubing, cabriolet, shuttles. No question why it was voted USA Today s top ski resort 2019.

Not a good place for kids! They (employees) treat your kids horable. Tim treated my 4-year-old horribly because we had to go inside to fix her face mask it was frozen. Imagine being a parent with a 4-year-old and having one of the employees bring your kids to tears. All I needed to do was go inside and fix the frozen face mask. Complete power trip by this individual. Finally another lady that worked there came by which calmed down Tim. I was able to get her mask flipped around and unfrozen. Thank you to whoever came over and calmed I'm down by being there. We've been going to the Mary Jane side and it's a lot easier on your kids then the Winter Park side. A lot less walking and they're definitely treating your kids better over there.

We went during Thanksgiving week. Lifts were limited. Not too much variety of slopes. We paid $80 per day and used 2 -3 lifts. I liked the remote bathrooms. They have over 40 lifts. I would recommend going during the week when most lifts are open.

For a ski resort, this place is amazingly wheelchair friendly!! Bring warm, waterproof gloves and you should be able to maneuver just about anywhere. Also home to the adaptive ski program, which I am excited to come back and check out.

Great ski conditions and friendly staff. Too many flat areas and catwalks for my liking on the front side of the mountain. Parsenn Bowl and Belmar Bowl areas are incredible for intermediate and advanced skiiers. I definitely will return

There's not much of a reason to have a pass anywhere else. Winter Park has a great mix of runs for beginners to the most expert riders and skiers. I've been coming as a tourist for years and just got my first season pass after moving to Denver.

This is our favorite ski mountain, our home mountain. Has more than enough terrain to ski with the family and enough advanced terrain for me. As my kids keep rapidly getting better I know they'll grow here. Good is generally good and like all on mountain food overpriced. My favorite thing is to ski hard and then plop down in an Adirondack chair and sit in the snow with a nice cocktail.

It can be busy on weekends, but just wait for a little and things clear up. This mountain gets plenty of snow and plenty of sunshine .

I like to park in the Cabriolet lot on weekdays and take the free lot busses on weekends. They Jack the price up on weekends and holidays.

Perfect place to exercise your Ikon passes.

First thing, bring a humidifier if you stay up there very dry at night! Some rooms may include one.

Over all great mountain, not a mountain for pros. It is by far a beginner mountain, due to the way the mountain, there is almost no line at any chairlift. If you have a ski bike, they allow it, and it is a perfect resort for it. Long runs allow you to cruise for ages. Back to skiing. The runs all feel the same, and you better like moguls, because they are on nearly every expert run. Because there are really long runs, the chair lifts are also very long.

The on slope resort is very cozy. Although I do recommend a room facing away from the slopes and Ill tell you why later. stayed in a condo suite. The beds were very comfortable, the sheets ever so slightly itchy, not bad though. Good lighting, and a nice balcony. The TVs are new Samsung smart TVs with a very large one in the main bed room. The Kitchen as all the amenities, sink, refrigerator etc. The one I stayed in had to queen size beds in one room, one queen in another, and two sofas that are pull out bed. The jacuzzi is warm and there is a larger one for the the adults. This is why you should fer a room facing away from the slopes. At night, some people stay late, and even though they dont talk super loud, it is very annoying. Our window, had slight gaps even when closed all the way. I couldnt sleep until they left. Over all, my experience was great, very nice people(could be because they were all stoned but), great environment, and nice shops. The recipe for a great trip.

Summary:

Slopes- fun for newbies

Hotel-good comfortable rooms

Food- The lime, not authentic Mexican food, but still good for Colorado(I'm picky being from southern cali)

Rentals/demos- decent selection, the boot flex only went up to 90

Clothing stores- good selection from Columbia to Patagonia. Expensive unless on sales towards end of season, and still a lot of money, but not bad for a resort thats a little secluded.

I recently visited Winter Park Resort for snowboarding lessons and it was by far one of the best experiences. This was my first time ever doing something like this and the staff made the process and experience enjoyable. My friend and I were fitted for shoes with Albert. He was very nice and told us he could talk to us all day. Honestly I think we could have talked to him all day. Cody, our instructor, was absolutely amazing. As I said before, this was my first time snowboarding and Cody made me feel so comfortable and confident. His energy was positive and reassuring. I highly recommend Winter Park and I will definitely be coming back in the near future!

Great skiing, fast lifts, very nice facilities, and a beautiful landscape for all of it. Looking forward to returning when most/all terrain is open, but there was lots to ski in early December this year.
