Dear Reader,

Dear Reader,
If you are a beginner or veteran skier you will find your place here. Winter Park Resort meets the highest standards of taste and decency. The instructors are very well prepared and prepared me to embrace the slopes with confidence. I highly recommend visiting with your friends and/or family.

I've been going here for 15 yrs now....I LOVE IT. lots of different terrain with runs for every level rider. very reasonable prices compared to other resorts. only hr from Denver without all the tunnel traffic. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you're looking for great skiing without breaking the bank.

I haven't been to the resort in the Winter, but I did go this Summer and fell in love! I can't wait to visit in the Winter! The alpine slide was some of the most fun I've had since I was a kid! The trails look beautiful with the different shades of green in the Summer. The bars are awesome there...the whole village is just a sight to see in itself! I went on my birthday and had the best time! Being new to Colorado as a resident -- we're always looking to try new things and places and this one was a hit! I can't wait to go back.

Fun place to go with the family. We enjoyed the Alpine slide, ropes course, climbing wall, put put golf and the food. It is a resort, so expect to pay more for things like food. They had plenty for our family to do and we had a great time.

Winter Park is one of the best resorts in all Colorado. The snow is always soft and fluffy! The red wagons make it easy to get around the village. There is an abundant amount of trails for all abilities from beginner to expert. Finally, there are plenty of restaurants in town and around the village.

It is a good mountain with plenty of variety. I personally didn't like how far you had to trek to actually get to the slopes. If you like coffee and shops you could take your time and enjoy the walk.

During my first visit to Colorado myself and others stayed at the resort and it was beautiful! The views were amazing, the stores and restaurants were close and very convenient, I highly reccomend Goodys, the tap house, and the cantina! There are also many activities including mini golf, a small rope/obstacle course, mountain biking, hiking and more! This place is absolutely great and I would love to stay there again!

Just right outside of Denver about a two-hour hour drive then you can hit some skiing that is Simply Amazing! If you are a black diamond, blue or green this place is for you! And they are not a Vail or a Park City so the prices are so much more reasonable. Skiing after New Year's midweek, the slopes and fresh powder are all yours.

I am a bit of a snob when it comes to ski and snowboard resorts. Having traveled all over Colorado to the different a list places my family decided upon Winter Park for spring break. Having not been there I was about to thumb my nose at this location. I could not have been more wrong. Great for families with a very nice smaller Village at the base of the mountain but plenty of restaurants and Rental locations. There's also a very nice town about 2 miles down from the village which offers a wonderful grocery stores as well as additional restaurants. As for the terrain it is everything you would want. Plenty of Acres for all types.

I bought the first ever ikon base pass this year. I switch from the epic pass and was excited to ski some new mountains like Winter Park. Winter Park over the winter became my favorite mountain. It is easier to get to since you don't have to drive down I-70 that long. The mountain has a lot of technical terrain especially on the Mary Jane side. I love that I can ski in trees between trails. two of their main lifts are 6-person chairs which makes the line at the lift go fast. They are planning to upgrade the Sunnyside lift this summer to also a six chair. The vibe at Winter Park is special and everyone is excited to be there. I already renewed my ikon base pass and I am excited to continue to ski at Winter Park.

This is a hard review to post, as in general we love WP. But as is the case with everything in Colorado, a once great ski town is disappearing. It's becoming the over priced, over crowded commercial town that we've seen so many times in this once great state. $180/day list tickets, seriously? Over crowded parking everywhere where rental cars and visitors park in was in which they block others?

Even real estate has become so expensive there that no typical middle class Coloradoan can afford a sliver.

We still love some of what it has to offer but we wish it could have held on to it's small, nostalgic, less visitor feel.

And knowing the interwebs, there will be many who say it's time for me to leave, while that may be true, my family has been in Colorado for twice as long as WP has existed...

this is a very beautiful place to go with the family or even friends. This is also a good resort for people who don't want to ski and who just want to stroll around. The village is really beautiful and there are so many places to enjoy food although they are extremely expensive. So be prepared for your wallet to be completely empty. But there are so many ski hills for so many different levels and there are so many ski lifts that you can spend probably a month there and never get tired of the variety. They have so many amenities also including rentals and lockers and restrooms and food and things like that

First time at a ski resort. It was exceptionally cold but we loved the atmosphere. We don't ski.. but just wanted to see what it was all about. Seemed to be great snow and despite the large crowd the facility managed it well.

Incredible park. Have been coming with the same family for 6 years now. The food spots all over the mountain are top notch, the resort area at the base is not too stuffy. The parking is quick and cheap. The ski patrol is helpful and quick to response. Unfortunately had a severe incident with a buddy last trip and the ski patrol was nothing but the best. The local town of winter park is quaint and has a handful of activities available to all. Would recommend for all ages and skill levels

My favorite of the larger ski resorts. This place is huge and spread out, but the layout of lifts connects the areas in an easy to navigate way. Even in busy days, you can find nooks of powder in certain areas. The customer service is excellent, the lift attendants are always cracking jokes, and the guy at the ticket window gave me candy when I got my ticket. Check out Lunch Rock in Mary Jane for lunch, it's a tad on the pricey side...but you won't be disappointed!

Pain to figure out where everything is and parking a Hassel. It's a small village. I live here so I'm able to enjoy the area year round. The best part is the positive energy vibe. The air is crisp but the people are not.

Extremely hard to afford a day pass there anymore. Even with a family member having a season pass I had to pay $135 for a buddy lift ticket. I used to be able to get a four pack for $179 a couple years ago. The way the ski resorts are going it s making it really hard for the average person to go there more than once a year. Something needs to change!

It's a great place, I skied. They have a map that shows you the mountain and what level each way down is. The hotel was nice, I was in the not vintage and near the hill. Only complaint was the mattress was a bit stiff. They have lockers in the hotel which is nice. On the mountain they have some places to eat. For a nice meal I would recommend the restaurant at the top of Zephyr lift. There are also many great places to eat on ground. The ski school is really great, they have about 7 levels from beginner to pro. There are at most 7 children and you can get full day or half day. Half day is the afternoon part. Also, full day comes with a lunch. Thank you for reading my review, I hope it helped.

We just returned from a weekend at Winter Park and had a wonderful time. I'd like to address the fantastic time my 4 year old daughter had at ski school. She really liked her instructor Adam W. She has had a few lessons already this season at a different resort but said that Adam was a lot of fun and he was able to get her to ride the chair lift for the first time! Overall, very friendly staff and great skiing!

Epic Snow storm definitely helped with my review. There was so much snow. It was waist-deep at some points. It was very crowded, and I wouldn't recommend going on a weekend or especially MLK weekend. He should definitely take the bus because all the parking lots were full when we got there around 11 a.m. but still a great resort.

Now that they have the new Gondola, getting to the top is fatser than ever! Panoramic and Eaglewind are my favorite lifts, one has great view above tree line, and you can come down to a lot of runs in woods, another has challenging but fun terrain, but they don't open on very windy days...

I came here for snowboarding, and it was quite great! The snow quality was quite good, and I enjoyed the wide runs. During the first day, it was too windy so the lift to the top wasn't open, but on the second day, it was open and great. I really enjoyed it! The lines were a bit long and there was an area that was quite flat so snowboarding was difficult on it. I did enjoy my time here though!

Really well run, I'd say this place caters more to an experienced ski/snowboard crowd. While the green runs are nice, you need to get an instructor if you are starting out. I'm a green/blue run level skier, so it is perfect for me. Go during the week to avoid big lines and go early in the morning.

Winter Park is one of my favorite mountain resorts. The drive into town is beautiful and (when traffic isn't backed up) enjoyable. The terrain at Winter Park has something for everyone. The staff was friendly, the signage was clear, the facilities were clean. It's a great place to explore.

Customer service in the rental shops was poor. The mountain itself lends towards skiers more than snowboarders. Very few of the lifts have foot rests and I'm old hate my leg hanging with my board on it. Overall snow was good but they will also not open the upper bowl during the week in a powder day to save it for the weekend warriors.

It can take a little longer than normal to work out how to navigate this field, but it does reward the effort. Whilst there are some uninteresting runs for the expert skier, beginners and intermediates are well catered to.
Mary Jane and Vasquez ski areas have some fun piste skiing, but Eagle Wind territory is by far the most challenging and interesting territory. The tree skiing here is awesome! It's a shame Eagle Wind only has a little chair and it shuts down early.
