This is a great lunch spot that serves a limited selection of beer and wine and has some fpretty tasty food. I would rate space/seating 3/5, service 4/5, quality of food 4/5 and overall cleanliness 5/5. If you're in the area and want a good bite to eat at an average price then this is a good spot to go.

We just had our son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner there. Everyone commented to me afterwards what a great choice we had made for the dinner - how good the food was and how much there was. Everyone loved their food: gyros, fries, reubens, turkey melts, pita/hummus, greek salad and more. The dinner was scheduled for a little after they closed at 8pm, but the rehearsal ended early. The staff was friendly and gracious as they scrambled to accommodate us. Everything was great.

Got takeout today and as always, they did not disappoint. I love their food, it's always hot, fresh and very tasty. Chicken stir fry pita is my and my husband's favorite, but their gyros are awesome as is all their other food. I have taken many friends to eat there (when we could dine in) and they have all loved it. The staff are also awesome. Highly recommend this place.

We have been here many times and it has become a favorite. Today we were treated to some of the NEW breakfast menu items. The French toast sticks are Amazing!! If you haven t been to Windy City Grille yet, get to going. They also have chicken fingers for kids. Fries are nothing special but who cares, the gyros are bomb!

So incredibly good! I work close by and not only do I stop in, but we get it catered semi- regularly. You can not go wrong with what you order. I always do chicken gyro special with curly fries. I m hungry just thinking about it!

Pretty dissapointed in this place considering the reviews it has and the emphasis on the Italian Beef. I'm a big fan so that's what I got. By default it has mozzarella cheese on it, not sure why but I ordered it without. It came with a a huge pile of half cooked green peppers and onions. I like the peppers and onions but there was way too much. It also came with a pile of "spicy" giardiniera which freaked me out at first but then found it was not spicy at all. The beef was average as was the roll. Not impressed at all.

My wife ordered a gyro which was piled in feta and uncooked onions. She said her meat was dry and overall it was average at best.

The meal was expensive and underwhelming. Not a true authentic Chicago Italian Beef. This surprises me as a lot of people say it is close but that was not my experience. The only reason it got three stars was the service was good. Will not be returning.

Pretty good Chicago style food. Be careful about how you order, their default toppings for your Italian beef are more like a Philly cheese steak. Gyro was good, I ask for the sauce on the side otherwise it becomes runny. I'll be visiting again.
Edit: prices went up and portion size went down. Not as good as it used to be. More expensive than Portillos in Chicagoland and not as good. Sorry I really love this kind of food but when you make the sandwiches smaller and jack up the already high prices you lose customers. This business model seems to happen 6 months before running out of money. RIP you will be missed.

Great place to eat. My wife and I stopped here when we were in town for the weekend and were very pleased. The young lady running the counter was exceptionally helpful and was very friendly to not only ourselves but to every other customer we observed her interacting with. My wife had a Gyro and I had a Turkey Melt sandwich. Both were specials which came with fries and a drink. There was a generous amount of food offered at a fair price and we left the restaurant as satisfied customers.

Great Gyros and Fries. Very generous portion. A gyro with feta is $9, with fries and drink $10.79. The fountain coke machine needs to be calibrated. The Diet Coke at least is too sweet. I wish they had a smaller gyro for around $5, sometimes I don't want the fries and the coke flavor is off anyway.

Nice people own and operate this little food stop. Obviously a take off of Chicago culinary short of pizza. Chicago style dogs, Gyros, Italian beef sandwiches their specialty. I don't know how well they'd do in the Windy City but here in West Michigan where the Dutch and their bland food are the norm WCG is a welcomed diversion.

The food here is absolutely amazing! I would really recommend the gyros with the French dip and feta cheese. I get it every time.

The service here is outstanding. I got delivery through another service. The manager, I wish I had remembered his name, noticed he forgot to give the dasher part of my food. He called me telling me and then actually drove the forgotten food to me himself!

Great food - service people, cashier have an attitude! I Cannot accept an unwelcome visit. Fake niceness if you have to. Don t make me say thank you. You should appreciate the customer s visit! Why does Meijer measure their service when checking out - studies show, the nicer a retail personnel are - increases repeat business. I saved $70 per month because of poor attitudes at your business. In many cases I ve changed lunch choices... good luck!

Great food! My entire family loves to eat here, lunch or dinner. The portions are more than generous - my wife and I split a Windy City club between us (highly recommended you get that), and then an extra fry. Never leave hungry! Having a friendly owner and staff just makes it that much better. Love to come here!

Windy City has the best Italian beef sandwich that you'll find in Grand Rapids area. There is a surprising amount of seating in this small place, and they make a heck of a great Greek salad too.

OMG! The Italian beef dipped sandwich is as good or better than any I've had in Chicago!

It's a wonderful place typically run by the owner. Quick and affordable authentic Chicago fare. You will not regret taking the time to eat here. If you like Italian beef, you've just been introduced to heaven!
