They are no longer adhering to the COVID guidelines and are requiring people to ride together unless you want to pay a premium. I booked a time this morning as a single and was told I had to ride with one of the other guys despite not being from the same household. Typically, you have the option to ask for your own cart to ensure proper social distancing but I was told I'd have to pay an extra $10. This tells me they have to extra carts but are trying to monetize safety during the pandemic. I choose not to risk my health and I would recommend folks avoid this place (particularly on busy days/weekends). Check out any of the other wonderful golf courses in the area and avoid here if you want to stay safe while enjoying some golf.

This course wasn't terrible. Tee boxes are well played. Kinda narrow in places but a really enjoyable layout. The pace of play was absolutely awful. I sat behind a gentleman who absolutely refused to let me or any of the groups on the tee box to play through. It took me 2 and a half hours to play through 9 holes.. it was a single player. That's not normal is it? I will not return any time soon.

Club was a good value course under the previous owners. Under the current management the fairways and greens are always in relatively poor condition. They seem to be strictly focused on volume. If you want a cheap round of golf at cheap quality that is what you will get here these days. On the plus side the driving range is grass not mats.

I showed up as a single to golf. They booked me with a guy named Roger - we had alot of fun and I enjoyed his company. The staff was extremely friendly. We had two patches of heavy rain - the course drained very nicely. The course otherwise, was in excellent condition - I would reccommend this course if you are looking for a challenging and well kept course. Oh by the way, I shot an 89 and Roger shot an 80. The clubhouse was not that inviting but functional. Glad I was there - on my way back to Ann Arbor-----afetr our family reunion. GEW

Windsor Parke Golf Club is a semi-private, 18-Hole...

Windsor Parke Golf Club is a semi-private, 18-Hole championship golf course designed by Arthur Hills and has been recognized as one of Florida's top 100 courses. Over the years, Windsor Parke has hosted more USGA qualifying events than any other course in the city of Jacksonville; qualifiers for such tournaments as the US Open, US Amateur, US Publinks and US Senior Amateur. It s also recognized by the NGCOA as a Beginner Friendly golf course.

There are four sets of tees that play anywhere from 5206 yards for the ladies to 6765 yards for accomplished players. Average players will find the White Tees (6,003) yards a fitting challenge. In the clubhouse, you will find a well-stocked pro shop with a plethora of logoed apparel and a restaurant/lounge area that offers all your favorite clubhouse foods and adult beverages. Windsor Parke is also a good place to tune up your game with great practice facilities, including a targeted grass range that lets you hit every club in the bag as well as putting and chipping greens.

This championship layout has Arthur Hills written all over it with its rolling fairways, elevation changes and strategically placed bunkers. Several holes feature forced carries over water, including 3 of the 4 par 3 holes and a couple of par 4s. That doesn t include carries that macho golfers will encounter when they try to reach the par 5 greens in two.

Off the tees, the fairways are fairly easy to find, however several approach shots leave little room for error. For the most part, greens are fairly level with subtle undulations. As always, greens in regulation often equate to good scores. Hills also had some fun with green complexes, as can be seen from the devilish little pot bunkers around the 8th green. Here are a few of the favorites:

Pro s Pick: Number 4: Par 4, 388 yards (Blue Tees). A dogleg left that plays 388 yards from the Blue Tees and features water all down the left side and strategically placed bunkers on the right in the landing area. If you re not overly long off the tee, these bunkers are a great aiming point. A decent drive will leave you about 150 yards downhill to a green protected on the left by water.

Member s Favorite: Number 6: Par 5, 533 yards (Blue Tees). This long, straight par 5 has trees framing both sides of the fairway. The creek that crosses the fairway just in front of the green makes this a three-shot hole for most players. Par is a good score here.

My Favorite(s): Three finishing that will really test your mettle. Number 16 (par 4, 426 yards) features a narrow fairway with water all down the left side and trees lining the right. The green is protected by a large bunker on the left. Number 17 (par 5, 531 yards) is a carbon copy of 16, only 100+ yards longer and has more bunkering around the green. Number 18 (Par 4, 351 yards) requires a tee shot over water to a wide-open fairway and then an approach shot over more water to an awaiting green protected on the left by water. Par or better on these last three holes usually means a good score.

Windsor Parke is one of the best values I came across during my visit to the Jacksonville area, especially when you consider it s an Arthur Hills layout. Members I spoke with had nothing but good things to say about what Brown Golf has done with the facility since acquiring it in 2015. They continue to make improvements to both the course and the clubhouse.

Memberships are available at Windsor Parke and include unlimited golf and use of all practice facilities with a discounted range plan, reciprocal play at all other Brown Golf facilities and a reciprocal membership at Julington Creek Golf Club.

Played on 8/13 and it was cart path only but the course was bone dry. The driving range was closed because the area was "too wet" - and they had the sprinklers on. Huh? Other than that the place wasn't too bad. Course was in decent shape, tee boxes/fairways/greens all very good for this time of year. Staff was friendly. Be sure to drive slow on the cart paths or you'll need to see "Doc Tony" when you finish.

Played yesterday the course was in terrible shape, every green had some disease in it, the cart paths were the worst I ve seen. The $34 fee was a joke, it should ve been $10. I will never play there again, it was a typical Brown Golf property

Windsor Parke Golf Club: The back-9 of this excellent Arthur Hills layout is a real joy to play. Residential properties are discretely tucked behind the tree-lined fairways, two of which are also dangerously lined with water from start to finish. This is one of the best courses in the Jacksonville area.

My wife and I played this course on 6/29/18. What a pleasure!! We are getting back into the game and were looking for a more challenging course than our usual 9-hole. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the cart staff which took our bags and directed us to the main entrance. The atmosphere inside the clubhouse is one to be expected at a golf course. We were welcomed into the pro shop and upon checking in for our tee time, were given a brief description of the layout and policies for the course. Upon reaching the starter, we checked in and were told we were a little early but we were cleared to tee off whenever.

Challenging course but beautiful!! Saw the beverage cart 3 times during our round which was nice due to the heat on the course.

After our round the cart staff again greeted us and offered to wipe our clubs down and then stored our clubs while we went to the clubhouse to settle up.

Over all an great experience and we look forward to playing again, even becoming members!!!

Have played this course in all seasons. If you can play under $40 it is fair more than that there are way better courses/values. Not a very good layout. But typically decently maintained. Very tough from back tees. Plays much easier from white. But course layout seems to have been created as a home/business layout with the course as the afterthought.

There is water on some holes. But rather open so lost balls would be at a minimum other than water.

Nothing worse than calling to book a tee time and you get lied to when asking about the current condition of the course. I get it that your course is below average now and you are losing revenue due to that and the pandemic, but at the end of the day integrity is the core principle in golf. Your greens are almost dead and the tee boxes are just beat to death. Your weekday rate of $45 was probably justifiable when the course was maintained properly in the past but now I wouldn't pay more than $30 a round here. You may have gotten my money this time due to your dishonesty, but you lost me a a customer for any future tee times.

I would not recommend Windsor Parke at all mostly due to the poor course conditions. The other issue is dishonesty from the golf instructor who booked my tee time claiming the course is in great condition. He said he was just on the course the day before with a client.

We played this 3 times in a week because we liked it so much even though others were closer. Well kept and beautiful. What we liked the most is the wide fairways and large greens. It is a great course to practice your game without getting extremely frustrated. Very forgiving but still has plenty of bunkers and water to be challenging. The course is tucked into the trees so it is very peaceful and serene. They let us play 2 person golf all 3 days. The pace of play is perfect.

The course is in great shape. Greens are rolling very nicely! Staff were awesome. The rough can be tough with the Bermuda grass. The ball sinks into the grass in the rough and it can be tough to see. Be aware that if you go into the trees you may encounter snakes. I saw a big black snake. That was the last time I looked for balls.

Paid $55 and was supposed to pay $42. Greens are the worst I have played in years and the course is so dry it shows so many areas of poor maintenance. Really disappointed to pay this much money for such a terrible experience.

First time playing this course and it was a lot of fun. Not expensive because they just punched the greens but still in pretty good shape. Should be great in about 3 weeks. Nice restaurant section and pro shop. Had to rent clubs and that was good.

I play this course frequently. Mostly I practice here as they have one of the nicer practice areas (putting and chipping greens) for a public/semi-private course.

With COVID happening prices got a little steeper than they already were. Honestly it s the only reason I give the course 4 stars. The course shape has been great the last few times I have been out. Greens are lush, Fairways are lush and cut, and the rough isn t too demanding. Course has a fun layout but won t blow you out of the water. Several holes will have you rethinking club selection for best position as a good course should. If you re taking a cart out the course can be a bit of an expensive round compared to other courses around the area. Walking is pretty reasonably priced though if you catch them at the right time.

All in all I do love the course and the more I ve played it the more I like it. Just can be tough to stomach the cost occasionally.

Booked a day of single round when getting out of work early. Arrived at course and they would not let me on because I was a single.... This is after I had already booked by phone as a single.

Go to St. Johns and spend your $ there, better courses and better staff.

I have been playing Windsor Parke for right around 25 years. I have seen owners come and go throughout the years. Play the course around 100 times a year. I play other courses from time to time. The staff at Windsor are like family. They are the reason I pretty much only play there. Other courses don't come close. Every course except private course it is always about the bottom line. So the course from time to time get overused. I think it is the most played course in Jacksonville.
I would also like to share that I was there on the day Howard Spry was there with his bad experience. He was making the turn and I was just getting ready to start. He was asked to please stay on pace of play. He was at a three hour pace for nine holes. I also witnessed the golf pro Greg try to discuss the idea of pace of play and holding up the rest of the course. He was very respectful. Mr. Spry didn't want to hear any of the conversation and inmediatley went to not wanting people of color at the course. Which is so not the case at Windsor.
I also witnessed him push Greg on the 10th tee box. Greg had no choice but to call the police. The police came and spoke with Mr Spry. He was asked to leave and I am sure sign a trespass warning. After a long discussion with the police Mr Spry I guess was arrested. It is a shame because he could have just left and made a decision to not play at Windsor again. It was unfortunate that his co workers could not convince him to let it go.
Windsor is a great track with very friendly staff. Enjoy the people and the course.

Nice course. Greens rolled better than they looked. Played 18 on Monday morning at 10:30 for 41.00/person. Bunkers had a strange type of sand that seemed to compact much more than what used to in KY. Stay out of the bunkers and the sands not a problem right? Only wished we'd played earlier as it was miserably HOT the first nine, the almost unbearable the back nine. Would definitely play it again if back in JAX.

Played here this morning (6/15/19). The starter and clubhouse staff are extremely rude and arrogant about the quality of this course. Every green was a 50: 50 grass:sand ratio. Starter the the handlebar mustache was very pushy about the start times. If you're going to charge $50 to play this course then I will take my time starting off. Speaking of $50, if they think this course was worth that for a round, they are joking themselves. But obviously the joke was on me because I was already committed to playing here, unfortunately. The layout is slightly above average. Hitting out of the one sand trap was like hitting off concrete. I could play at St. John's for $60, and that course is 4x the quality of this place. 0% change my and my foursome will be returning here. Will play at Brentwood before I come back to this place.
