This school was nothing short of a zoo. Most teachers or( Subs) have no control over their classroom. They put Siblings in the same classrooms and bullying is an understatement. Parents please take my strong advise and send your child to another school or you will regret it later!!!

This school used to be a good school. The last 2 years it turned over I have a grandson that attends this school and he doe's not want to attend this school anymore due to the bullying that is allowed to happen in the school. I have been talking to the administration about the bullying and I get the felling they condone it.
He is in the 4th grade now and when I pick him up at the end of the day the first thing you hear is the teacher yelling at the class to sit down and the class is put of control, it's sad to see a school that had such a great reputation as a school turn out to be what it is.

I love aspects of the school. Most of the staff and i respect most of their rules... however i dont understand why dreadlocks are strictly prohibited. My son is in second grade and started to grow his hair out... which i didnt like personally however i like to give my kids room to be themselves. But he wore nappy lil fro to school and it was not a problem as soon as i neatly put starter locs(comb twist) in his hair he was sent to deans office and had to spend the entire day there. I washed the twist out of his hair because he didnt want to "get into trouble" again... when i asked administrators why he could not wear his hair in that way and the only thing they tell me is that i signed off on the dress code and that is apart of the dress code. And if i dont like it i am welcome to get his education elsewhere...

Think twice before enrolling your child at this school. I was very disappointed and it is not what I had expected for a Performing Arts school. The school curriculum is very disorganized and the teachers at the school, (some are okay and some I wonder where in the heck did they find these people). Academically, the school seems to be behind. I tried to pull my daughter out mid-year but without much luck. Let's say, I am not giving up, I plan to get her out as soon as possible. We definitely will not be here next year nor will I ever recommend this school to anyone.

Terrible terrible it was terrible before online and it s really worse now. There is a lack of communication with the teachers. I could see if it was only one teacher but it s multiple. The teachers are not professionals and have no degree to even teach. The teachers are being switched without us knowing. When a child is having trouble in a class the teacher don t reach out to the parents about any issues that the child may have during class. This school is robbing children of their education. They are on these zoom meetings getting smart with these children and barley teaching for a check. This was the worst decision that I have ever made sending my kids to Marvin L Winans.
