Unfortunately, I was involved in a multi-car accident on May 30, 2021. Fortunately, there were no injuries. However, because there were no injuries, the response time for a police unit to arrive was over an hour. I feel this is unacceptable and I am still trying to wrap my head around why it takes longer for the police to arrive on a scene of an accident than it does for a Door Dash driver to deliver food...? My wife and I pay over $6,000/yr. in property taxes; yet having to wait an inexcusable amount of time to settle an accident is egregious and incomprehensible. Williamson County needs to do better!
Games. Called to speak to the Commander multiple times but never received a return call. This Dept bought new vehicles on our tax dollar & s neighbor who is a deputy was keeping the old vehicle & new vehicle. The dept should be more efficient. Deputies use our taxpayer bought vehicles for personal use. The deputies can chip in for gas & maintenance!
I heard Williamson county sheriff's are corrupt. A lady was a domestic violence victim and they rough her up some more. Lorenzo Hernandez is a tyrant officer.
God be with you Sheriff. Stay strong it's time the public start trusting the police again you are at least trying to make a change.
I know enough now to never ever ride thru this town! Multiple well known examples of injustices and corruption spanning years with many of the worst still part of the system.
Called to report a hit and run that i witnessed, the officer that called back was lacking in professional bearing to say the least. Well guess who wont be calling or helping anyone else ever again? I live in Killeen and have never been talked to and treated like i was a nuisance by any of Killeen PD or Harker Heights. Don't waste your time calling 911 near Georgetown, no matter how dire the situation is. This police department is the reason why we have a second ammendment and should be able to protect ourselves when our "officers" cant.
Just saw a video with Sheriff Mike Gleason
And his press comments on how he is cleaning up the sheriff's office, I truly hope he means his words and shows the nation how policing should be done. I have a lot of respect for someone making a great difference. I support any public official that knows their duties and honor their oath, makes me wish I lived in that county to see the change.
10/10 recommended Williamson county. Wilco sheriff s dept was not the arresting agency (RRPD 10/10 don t recommend ) but they were super friendly, very helpful and kind. Before this incident Wilco sheriff came out and helped me cut a deer from my gate after the poor little guy tried to jump it and didn t quite clear it. Little did I know I would soon be behind their gate. I don t plan on getting arrested again (do we plan for these things) but if I do I will definitely choose wilco for my jailing needs.
