Couldn t be more pleased with this funeral home. F...

Couldn t be more pleased with this funeral home. From the staff to the services. We were referred to the funeral home by a friend. Losing a loved one is difficult and then having to make funeral arrangements on top of that is stressful enough. We were greeted and helped by Raul, who took his time and explained the process. He was very professional and answered all our questions we had along the way. Raul and his staff exceeded our expectations and always went the extra mile. From helping with obituary, finding us a drove release company, transportation, the list goes on. When we lost another family member, we didn t have to think twice to return to this funeral home and once again Raul and his staff were amazing. Raul thought of every detail to make our service perfect. Raul alway maintained open lines of communication through phone, text, and email. We always knew he was just a phone call away and could help our family needs. The facility is always clean and the staff is always willing to help. On the day of the services Raul and his staff were not all attentive to our family but to all our guests. The chapel is beautiful and they even have play area for kids to play and watch Netflix movies. If you re looking for a funeral home that will provide the best service for you family please look here and ask for Raul.

Recently my husband passed away. This experience is new to most people and I had no idea what to do next. Mr. Raul Cortez of Williams Funeral Directors met with us and guided us all the way. I could not have asked for a more thorough planning. He advised me and gave me options. We were pleased with the service and all the assistance we received.

Y all have to be the most cold hearted people to throw away a baby s headstone because your rules have changed. Why could you not give it to the family who loved him so much instead of just throwing it away like it didn t have any meaning? Shame on you guys!

I loved this place! The Staff is amazing and very helpful! I'm grateful for their comfort during our time of need. Couldn't of picked a better location for my grandfather. The chapel made me feel at ease and I even had a marriachi band playing during the final hours of the service. The music and singing literally gave the whole environment life. New resting spot for myself and family.

The grounds maintenance crew put tire skid marks on my Aunt Irene Bunch, head stone, dumped her flowers and turned the urn upside down. This is the families place of remembrance of their loved ones and should be treated with respect. The flowers can't be saved, but the black marks should be cleaned off and the urn put back in place. Williams says they were not responsible for the grounds keeper..well then they should have someone to follow up and put the sites back like they were. Be accountable for your workers disrespect.

Where do I start, let s just say, my family definitely didn t make this easy for Mr. Raul Cortez. When my father in law passed away suddenly we were all confused and unsure what to do or how to do it, but Raul walked us through every step of the way, I know he went well beyond his job description with us, offering options and a little bit of family counseling. The services were beautiful! The chapel is gorgeous with soaring wood ceiling and stained glass, and the day of services everything went smooth. He and his team made sure we were aware of everything. From the flowers to the music it was great and everyone went on and on about how perfect this place was. We would absolutely refer anybody here, Raul, Justin and their whole staff were wonderful to work with!!!

It s sad the reason to have to come to places like this but during our time of need we received the best service by Dean. Caring compassionate man. He made our service beautiful. The chapel is beautiful as well. Would highly recommend Williams.

We wanted to do preplanning with Williams, but the man running the preplanning got put out because I called a couple of times to ask a question, which must have put him out. When we finally decided to go ahead and sign up with them, I called Raul who was over preplanning and left a message but after a week he hadn't called back, so I called the main number and the lady said she would call me back because there was someone else that could help, but she didn't call back and neither did anyone else. I think they thought we weren't going to sign up so they didn't want to be bothered. It turned out good because we found another funeral home where they were much nicer and cheaper. It is best to check elsewhere than to deal with these people. I do not recommend them at all.

In response to Mr. Williams: A month or so ago I called Raul to see if he could find out the percentage rate if we decided to pay out the services rather than pay the full amount. He said he would have to call the insurance company. He called back later that day but did not leave a message and I didn't see it until the next day. I called him and instead of having the information he said he called because he wanted to make sure that was my number. He never called to give me the information, but I figured it up the best I could and we decided not to pay it out. I didn't like it because he didn't get me the information, but on November 6 (it is on my phone) I called him and we were going to come in, I left a message, so one of two things happened: the jerk either ignored my call and message or he blocked my number. You have got a problem with your staff and his name is Raul. I don't know about the lady at the desk that didn't call me back after me calling at 11 a.m. this morning. Probably jerk Raul told her he would take care of it. If you don't get a change in your staff, you will continue to lose business. He may be a smooth talker to you, but he is one big jerk. We had three funerals which you lost and if he treats other people like us because he doesn't want to be put out, you will lose a lot more funerals. There is no excuse for this type of behavior.

I am only giving the low review based on the attitude of one older man that works here. You have to show all people respect at all times when you are representing a business. My experience with other funeral homes is that the staff/ owners are kind people since they are dealing with delicate grieving individuals.

Our family is extremely pleased with the professionalism and the superb service that Williams Funeral Directors has provided. After dealing with other funeral homes in times past, they pale in comparison to our entire experience with Williams. Mr. Raul Cortez was an exceptional funeral director and was with us literally every step of the way. Because of various reasons, several changes and last minute requests were made, yet he went beyond our expectations to fulfill them all as we had entreated. He was sincerely caring and understanding, which was a great comfort to us in our time of grief. Every member of Williams Funeral Directors was kind and courteous, and we highly recommend their services and thank them for a truly pleasing experience.

Saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy. It s difficult to prepare their funeral while mourning. So thankful for Whitney Williams for being there for my family. She took care of every detail for us during the Christmas holiday. Today she reached out to check on the family. This is after the service.....so thoughtful! I mean this with the utmost respect but I would hope not to see them anytime soon but grateful to know they will be there when I need them the most.

I watched a trash fire burn in ex military Pattons grave until it melted the trash bags and although I think its. Great to burn the trash cause they either wood have left it on family. Graves or buried it. Sad service to fallen soldiers. And discrimination when applying there . I even offered Free memorial restoration services to us soldiers and Dallas pioneers tombstones that have fallen due to time and vandalism. They said no someone else will b doing that. Not for free. N not at all. The mason group .forestors are buried here . And woodman of the world supremacy head stones stone trees. The area was an internment camp once if not twice. And axe family sold there cemetery to Williams . Santa fe railroad actually runs threw the cemetery find that somewhere else. This is Insidious. I stay at miller glen apts above mail room n laundry. U need history about this region of Williams estates or about truth .

Very slow at responding ang getting things done. My dad's service was on 3/9 (my dad's DVD video was lost) - no one could find it after several phone calls/emails...I still don't have it. In addition, my dad's ash burial service was 3/20 and they never bothered putting a name tag to identify which site was my fathers (while the stone arrived). They were also supposed to notify me when the stone arrived - it never happened. Again, one week later we go to see why a name tag is not there and we FIND out his stone had arrived. If you use them, make sure you have everything in writing, otherwise you will get the run around. #frustrated

Justin really helped save the day, even after we had concluded business with him. Ended up saving us $2,800.

The story:

-We used WFD for my father's funeral in Texas and arrange the transport of his remains to Washington DC for the burial. From the airport in DC, my family handled contracting a different company to receive the remains.
-In haste, a family member agreed with the company in DC without comparing prices. Once I found out how badly the DC company was price gouging us, I stepped in to find another company. The difficulty was that even after I found a new company, the airline could not change the transport document without the initiating shipper (WFD) contacting them with the changes.
-I explained the situation to Justin, who was understanding and dropped everything to make the call which was very time-sensitive. He got it done and we were able to tell the old company to pound sand. The old one wanted $3,695 for the same service that we ended up paying only $875! We would have been stuck if Justin hadn't been able to help us on short-notice!
-All of this happened after we used WFD for my father's funeral services so they had no real incentive to help us but they did anyway.

The service they offer was atrocious. My mother in law passed January 10, 2021. Due too covid it was a closed casket, graveside service.

They picked her up from nursing home, transfered to Tyler. From Garland to Greenville to family plot.
They rushed the service. Did not have anything to keep mud covered for family to walk on. They had to walk in mud. Then they RUSHED through the service. Family did not have any services done on site. No makeup and just was able to put a blanket on her.

This was a prepaid plan. I would suggest you run as quickly as possible.

Cynthia Henry

I appreciate your response, were the men that brought the body to cemetery in a van part of your business?

My wife and I came to visit her dad s plot this afternoon. To our surprise, his plot was covered with dirt. It looks like there was new burial site beside her dad and the dirt covered his plot marker. We were very disappointed and disgusted to see this. It is so disrespectful for us to see this sight. We spoke to the receptionist and she assured us that this will be taken cared of. Well they better do and clean it up as soon as possible.
