I really enjoyed my experience with Bill. As someone who is incredibly uncomfortable taking pictures, I have to say he was very good at putting me at ease and being patient. He was so incredibly thoughtful and kind by going through the pictures with me (many many) times, giving me his input but also allowing me to retake some of the pictures.

He is incredibly professional and knowledgeable about his craft, this comes through in every suggestion he gives and of course, the amazing photographs he captures. Clearly, the many years doing this have made him very good at what he does.

I can't wait to work with him again.

We had a horrible experience with Bill Ames as the photographer at our daughter's wedding. He was unprofessional, rude to our guests and the pictures were terrible! I would not recommend him!

Bill was the perfect choice for a photographer for our wedding - kind, professional, and dedicated. He puts his clients first. He was a perfect guide for our "Big Day". I couldn't imagine shooting with any other Centre County photographer.

William was great! He really took the time to make sure my friends and I got all the pictures we wanted. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience with photography and knew exactly how to accommodate our needs. In addition, William went out of his way and literally got on his hands and knees to help us climb on top of the Penn State sign! I would highly recommend him for anyone looking for professional photos!

When I first saw Bill s photos, I knew he was the photographer for us. We spoke on the phone for the first time and he was so friendly and knowledgeable. We met the day of the rehearsal dinner and talked about logistics, and I immediately liked Bill s style. He said he was going to work his hardest to make sure we got all the shots he wanted. That he did, and more. We are BEYOND thrilled with the beautiful photos that Bill took. He really hustled all day for us and even went to 4 additional locations after the ceremony. The photos reflected who we were and he found all the perfect spots for beautiful back drops. I HIGHLY recommend everyone book Bill Ames for their photos for ANY event. Bill, thank you for capturing our day so beautifully!!

Did an amazing job with my graduation photos. Although it was freezing outside because I graduated in December, he took the pictures as efficiently as possible as to not make us wait in the cold longer than necessary. The end results look great!

If there was a way to give more than five stars, I would. Bill was amazing and easy to work with, and the resulting photos are fantastic. He put us at our ease throughout all the posed photography, and his work reflects back all the joy and fun of the day!

We had a session with Bill Ames yesterday, to have our six-year-old son photographed and to get a few family portraits. He did our session outdoors at the Pennsylvania Military Museum in Boalsburg at our request. Bill was professional, punctual and polite, and he handles children very, very well. Our pictures were absolutely gorgeous! I would highly recommend Bill for family portraits, weddings, etc.!

Both my husband and I had Bill Ames take a professional headshot of us and we were both very happy with the result. He took all the time that was needed to get a good picture and was incredibly patient. And, importantly, he has the photoshop skills to make the picture look amazing in the end! :)

Bill shot my wedding last year. It's hard to make me look good in photos, you have to capture me in the right light or I look like doctor frankenstein's monster. Bill nailed it, I'm glad we chose him. For all you get from bills packages he's a steal, His work is high quality, He was punctual, he's responsive and willing to give it to you straight, he did whatever it takes to get the shot. I spent 4 months trying to find a photographer, looking through any work I could find on state college photographers and bill is easily in the top few.

As a former phtographer and photography student I have been exposed to a variety of photographers and this is by far the worst. He photographed a family members wedding in the Spring and he was the only poor aspect of a beautiful day. He spoke to our family, guests, party, and pastor with no respect. With no instruction, he helped himself to be the very first person to the buffet line! He did no posing and the family photos look like everyone is just huddling together for a photo at a football game. The group pictures of the party are almost all out of focus and its hard to make out any faces because he shot them so far away. Some photos of the groomsman it looks as if the best man is the one getting married. There was no creative photography. During the reception when he was done making sure he had dibs on the buffet he stood on a ladder the whole time taking the exact same photo of people on the dance floor. There is no variety in shots from the reception. We are grateful family members were using their own cameras to capture there. I recommend exploring your options before you go with this guy.

I've used Bill on 2 separate occasions for flat lay photography. He's very professional and always willing to work with me to get the exact shots I want. He had a very busy schedule this time around, but he squeezed me in because he know I needed the photos as soon as possible. I would highly recommend him in you're looking for high-quality photos. I've enjoyed working with him and plan to work with him again in the future!

Bill is a great photographer. He helped me plan a wedding proposal and went the extra mile to capture the moment by hiding in a grove of trees out of sight. Great help and great memories.

I took Bill Ames a valuable old color photo with significant physical damage, cracks mostly. He said that a quick fix would cost $100, museum grade work $800. A couple of days later he sent me an email: Any improvements beyond a quick fix would be hard for me to spot.

So I paid $100 for a REMARKABLE restoration. On his website I got to choose among several cropings and printing formats, all of which I downloaded. Prints were inexpensive.
