Wilf's Restaurant & Bar Review

Very good food and drink served by friendly staff. Trivia night on Wednesday's is super fun, but make sure to reserve your table ahead of time!

Drawbacks are that service can take a while so don't expect a speedy meal for sit-down and is on the pricey side.

Takeout is great and very convenient for students.

Was there once and the place was empty and it took an hour to get our food. They didn t charge us, so that was bonus, but didn t look well on them.

Good food for a good price. Dine here only if you have time to spare since it takes about an hour for your food to arrive no matter how busy it is.

Wilf's is just a gem. Even though I graduated from Laurier a number of years ago, I still like to come here from time to time.

Food is better this year than last and great for a night out with friends

Got takeout from here by phone and it was ready in a brown box 15 minutes later. Very friendly service and delicious food. I think the portion size has decreased since I went last but overall still good!

Laurier students swear by the bar but it can't be because of anything other than school pride. Food is way too costly for what you get and takes forever to arrive. They also don't do refills.

Recommend: the spin dip with all pita

Great wings, friendly service, and they can handle large groups. Is often busy and full, so try to reserve a table if your are going in on a late evening.

Decent food for a decent price, drink selection is quite good. Service needs to be improved

Service was great. The spin dip is the best. Sometimes, the order took so long when lots of people come. But this time was ok. Great place for groups.

Friendly staff. Massive portions. Fresh veggies in salad. Nice atmosphere. Challenging for vegan or dietary restrictions.

Apart from my fellow pubcrawl goers in UW Engineering, not many people know about this awesome student hotspot.

Highly recommend the spinach and artichoke dip with a mini pitcher of burgundy. Truly a legendary pair!

Good place for the university but the food could be better and the prices are way up there for the quality of the food you are getting. Wish their infamous spin dip was always consistent in flavour and their bread and chips were similar in moisture each time but they do come either very stale or very good.

The service is good when you are with a group but for one person it seems more distant. The take out option is great and is usually quite good for speed. Improved immensely with getting the orders correct over the past few years.

The event they host are quite fun from karaoke night to bingo night it's nice to just chill with a group of people once in a while.

Overall good place to chill and enjoy your time with some people.

Ordered some poutine with fries upgraded to sweet potato fries to go last night.
When I tried them, the fries were so salty as to be inedible. I've ordered this same meal time and again over three years from this place and can't believe they messed it up so badly.
Service was great, as always, but this isn't the first time they've completely dropped the ball on food, in my experience.

Very unpleasent experience!! Waiters are very unprofessional and made multiple errors with food and the bills!! Managerial staff is useless and food is medicore at best!!!!

We booked a reservation online for a Saturday night, but didn't receive a confirmation until the following Monday afternoon. When we arrived, the place was at maybe 1/4 of its capacity, but they were unsure if they could accommodate our party of 5 because we "didn't make a reservation". After a few minutes of making it sound like we may not get a table, we were seated.

I ordered a Coke Zero, was told they didn't have it, revised that to a Diet Coke, and in the end was brought a Coke Zero. Generally speaking, the food was awesome, but the service was painfully slow. I highly recommend the Daddy Mac Burger with sweet potato fries, it was one of the best burgers I have had in my life. That being said, my boyfriend decided to go for the Green Curry and Rice, and was thoroughly unimpressed.

Overall, if you're looking for classic pub-style food, Wilf's fits the bill. Two entrees and two sodas (with tip) ended up costing $40, which isn't terrible, but definitely not something we can afford to splurge on regularly.

Can't go wrong with a legend. Seagram Wrap still the best.

Great campus pub. Friendly & knowledgable staff, quick and attentive service, tasty food with a variety of options from healthy salads and wraps to comfort foods and pastas.

Everytime I've been here for dinner It's taken me an hour to get my food, so I'm usually here for at least an hour and a half, but the food is amazing. There's also the unwritten rule that if you've been to Wilfs you need to recommend the Spin Dip, so... Try it, I guess?

Always a great place to spend a lunch or a dinner. There's a lot of different staff that vary in skill, but overall the food is pretty good, the atmosphere is wonderful, and most of the waiting staff are very nice!!

Good food but wait time is always too long. Every time I've went we waited a minimum of 25 minutes for food, even 40 minutes for one time.

Friendly service and good value (for most menu items). The wait usually isn't that long and the staff is always friendly. The selection is quite expansive so you're bound to find something you like. They give you a lot of food but the taste is pretty average and unoriginal. I recommend the spinach dip with pita triangles. Stay away from the cajun chicken alfredo, the chicken was beyond dry and they literally just sprinkle cajun powder on top of the chicken breast. Good atmosphere, but kinda hot when it gets busy since there are no windows.

Came here for dinner with my boyfriend and our roommate for their Thursday wings special. The restaurant is always really lively. Our waitress was great, she constantly came to check up on us.

Had a pre-interview info session here. The pub food was good, atmosphere was pretty cozy.

Been coming here for years. Food is par. Menu is usual wraps and burgers. Nothing exciting but good. Friendly staff.

Disappointing service regarding the "Hungry Hawk" option, but my other experiences have been pleasant.

Ordered the Hungry Hawk 3 days in a row for takeout, and each day they managed my mess up my order. Didn't want to complain and get anyone in trouble, however I think they need to work on knowing what is actually included in the choices they offer.

Service is really good, but unfortunately the food is really bad. Don t know why everyone keeps raving about the food, really overpriced and doesn t taste good at all. Props to the servers though, they re really friendly!
