It's a great experience. Beautiful place. You can see how the Royal families used to live. They have a exposition of some dresses that belonged to princess Diana. They have a coffee place where you can eat. Nice experience.

Love the public's accessibility of Kensington Palace and Gardens.
The Princess Diana Sunken Garden is a beautiful reminder of the compassion of a beautiful woman. I am so glad that I enjoyed Afternoon Tea at the Orangery prior to the current renovation and expansion although the Pavilion is a lovely alternative.

You don t have to be a royal or Princess Diana fan to enjoy Kensington Palace. The palace building, surrounding grounds and views are fantastic. Even better if it is a sunny day on a weekend, with families, kids and everyday people enjoying the day, open air and views. I was impressed how accessible and well utilized the palace was, despite being part of the royal family s housing. There are some apps you can download and get talking history lessons for key landmarks too. Take the time to enjoy the garden and have a good look in the gift shop. We took the time to walk around palace and surrounding grounds and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are lucky, there is an ice cream van nearby to enhance the visit.

Aaahhhh the childhood home of one of the greatest Queens that ever lived, Victoria. Place is well kept, informative and rich with fact and history. It stands out as one of the top homes of the royal family and so it should.

I give it only 4 stars because of the enormous prices. It's great to visit, but being a Royal Palace, and belonging to one of the richest women in the world, prices are extortionate. Why? Robbing the poor and middle classes to enrich the entitled 1 percent.

Lovely grounds and fun palace to go through! The audio guide was nice and informative as well as the guide books in each room. After visiting the palace you can take a nice walk through the gardens and even continue on to hyde park. There are lots of ducks, swans, and geese in the ponds so if you want to bring along so bread you will be very popular.

It's ok but not great. Poorly furnished rooms. Story not told that well and certainly not fully. Could do with an audio guide or similar. Not that much of the palace open to the public which is understandable but could do so much more with what they do have. Looks like it needs real investment to make it up to the standard of of the other royal palaces.

Kensington palace is one of the must visits when touring London. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. There's a great park for walking or just lounging on one of the benches. A great place to bring the family.

Admission is included in the London pass. A huge place. Need to walk through the park to get to the entrance. Great place to visit. We can see the inside where British royals had lived and the dresses that Princess Diana had worn.

Okay it is a unique opportunity to be able to visit the house and room in which Queen Victoria was born and played as a child.
Do not however go under the impression that you are visiting a furnished palace.
The rooms that are open to visitors are largely open spaces with a small number of original items in cabinets and for the most part information diagrams and outlines saying what would have been there.
Fans of Princess Diana however have a unique opportunity to view a significant collection of her dresses.

Rare opportunity to enter an occupied Royal palace but just didn't float my particular boat.

Every little girl's dream is to be a princess, well most little girls. The concept of royals is foreign and interesting to me as a Northern American. I felt like I was time traveling back in time.

Had a lovely visit to Kensington palace as a part of the historic royal palaces membership. Lots of cool history and interesting info about the various Queens and Kings who have lived at Kensington palace. The gardens nearby are lovely as well, and Hyde Park on a sunny day is always stunning!! :D

Really interesting place to visit. The way the Victoria exhibit was laid out was very well planned, and it was amazing to see the collection. All the staff I spoke to were friendly and full of information. The kings apartments were a completely different experience and very enjoyable.
Even though part of the palace was closed due to maintenance work I still felt it was good value for money and I look forward to returning once the work has been completed.
Lunch in the tea room was lovely too.

Absolutely worth the wait and I would do it again in a heartbeat. You need to arrive by 9:15 if you're going to be in the front row near the fence. If you don't you will be pushed out of the way and you won't be able to see anything. They have turned it into quite a two hour show for tourists which is wonderful.

Kensington Palace is one of the Historic Royal Palaces and this was the main reason I wanted to visit it. The Palace is not that big and it can be visited in 2-3 hours for sure. The gardens and the area around the Palace can be visited for free (and the gardens are really beautiful), the inside of the palace though requests a ticket which is pretty expensive (in my opinion). If you are staying for a few days in London and you pass by, I would suggest having a walk in the gardens and the park, but if you are not in particular interested in the history of the Royal Family and Princess Diana, I would suggest not paying the ticket for going inside, but save the money and see a better palace in London.

It was great to visit a historic park, but there wasn't a lot of exhibits inside except Princess Diana's beautiful gowns. Other rooms in palace not very interesting. The gardens and pond outside were beautiful and fun to sit and watch the ducks, geese and swans. When we were there it was a beautiful day.

We have been touring all of the palaces upon our arrival from America. This was a favorite. The staff was incredibly knowledgable, friendly and accommodating. They were excited to share and we enjoyed how they told us about the occupants of the house like they knew them. It was awesome. You must go, the property is just amazing. Highly suggest allotting a few hours as there is a lot to see!

Kensington Palace offers a glimpse into the lives of its past royal residents. Discover stories from Queen Victoria's life in the Victoria Revealed exhibition; master courtly games in the King's State Apartments; glimpse a modern princess in an exhibition of Diana's dresses; and uncover the secrets of a fragile dynasty in the Queen's State Apartments.

Some nice jewels on display, and of course Princess Diana's gowns. Costumes from the movie The Favourite currently on display. Interesting spot to visit, particularly if you happen upon one of the talks by the well rehearsed guides. You get a good insight into life back in the day.

A great place to visit. Beautiful gardens. And a really nice coffee shop. You can visit the gardens and eat in the coffee shop without buying a ticket to the palace. But a tour in the palace is also recommended. Its located in the best spot of Hide Park in my opinion. Have fun!

If you're into the Royal's, go for it. The palace isn't as grand as others around the world. The garden (which is free) was a bit more interesting to look at. There is some historical information about past residents and the uses of various rooms for those interested.

Wonderful display of the rooms used in the past. For us it started with an exhibit of Diane's dresses. Then to the old king and queens quarters. Good descriptions of what each room was used for, but most of the old furniture and art work is gone. And that is it for the interior. Nothing about the staff or how it all worked. Nothing about how it changed over the years. The staff is great if you have questions. The snack bar is great, unless you need something gluten free.

Very interesting palace, with a self-guided walking tour of the (small portion) publicly accessible former quarters.

Staff is generally very helpful, but other than a few "quick bits", mini lectures at specific times in certain areas, there isn't any sort of a guided tour, and the information posted on each room, while interesting, isn't very lengthy or detailed. I recommend buying the guidebook, to fill this gap.

After your tour, stop into the Cafe for some tea or a quick bite. On weekends, it will be quite crowded, but still interesting.

Gorgeous palace and park. Loved all the history that was within the palace tour and the Princess Diana exhibit. I did the Princess Diana memorial trail walk as well. I spent a lot of time walking through the park, which was enormous, clean, and beautiful.

Welcome to Historic Royal Palaces, where history comes alive. Our mission is to bring the stories of our six palaces to life and allow visitors to experience history where it happened. One of our most iconic palaces is Kensington Palace, located in the heart of London.

Kensington Palace has a rich and fascinating history that spans over 400 years. Originally built in 1605 as a mansion for Sir George Coppin, it was later purchased by King William III and Queen Mary II in 1689. Since then, it has been home to many members of the royal family including Queen Victoria and Princess Diana.

Today, Kensington Palace is open to the public as a museum where visitors can explore its stunning architecture and learn about its royal residents throughout history. With over 300 years of royal heritage on display, there's something for everyone at this historic palace.

At WILDWORKS, we're dedicated to providing an unforgettable experience for all visitors who come through our doors. We offer a range of tours and exhibitions that showcase the palace's rich history and provide insight into what life was like for its former residents.

One popular exhibition at Kensington Palace is "Victoria Revealed," which explores the life of Queen Victoria through her own words and personal items on display. Visitors can see everything from her wedding dress to her childhood toys as they learn about one of Britain's most beloved monarchs.

Another must-see attraction at Kensington Palace is "Diana: Her Fashion Story." This exhibition showcases some of Princess Diana's most iconic outfits throughout her life as well as exploring how she used fashion as a way to communicate with people around the world.

In addition to these exhibitions, we also offer guided tours led by expert historians who will take you on a journey through time as they share stories about the palace's past residents and events that took place within its walls.

But WILDWORKS isn't just about showcasing historical artifacts - we're also committed to preserving them for future generations. That's why we have an extensive conservation program in place that ensures all items on display are properly cared for so they can be enjoyed by visitors for years to come.

So whether you're interested in learning more about British royalty or simply want to explore one of London's most iconic landmarks, WILDWORKS at Kensington Palace has something for everyone. Book your tickets online today and experience history like never before!
