You can have a snack or drink in the sunken cafe near the gardens.

Beautiful Park well kept.
If I had a criticism, it is allowing owners to let their dogs run free.

What a nice palace and beautiful garden! Acres and acres of big space. Lots of greens. Many local people bring their picnic basket and enjoy a beautiful afternoon on the grass. So relaxing.....

There is a fee to tour the interior. If you have enough time, take your time check out the palace inside and enjoying the garden. Away from the heavy traffic.

Queens. And Kings. Lived there. And still do. Although, the future kings. A lot to see and to learn. As well as to enjoy. Pity, that they stopped displaying Princess Di's dresses - the exhibition was one of the highlights of the visit! But, you might be lucky to see the Royal Tiaras - hurry up!

I enjoyed coming here to learn more about all the different royals. It gives a full history from day 1. The park is also pleasant to stroll through during the day. The storytelling from some of the staff makes you feel you were there. Very interesting place to check out.

Very special girls day out visiting Diana's dresses - you can top off your day with an amazing afternoon tea or a much more affordable cup of tea in the cafe afterwards. It's free to get into the gift shop and it's my go-to place for some classy "London" gifts.

Loved it, the royalty history and surroundings. Interesting tour inside with lots to see and do. Wander around and read all the stories dating back 400 years. What a grand place with many old artefacts still the same as it was back then.

Staff were VERY helpful. I took my elderly mother in her wheelchair to see Diana's dresses & staff helped us everywhere we went, including giving us priority in the (longish) queues...huge thanks...

I enjoyed the visit to Kensington Palace. I wish that we had more time to better appreciate the nicely curated exhibits. We were able to enjoy a rainy walk through the gardens where we would have loitered longer had we not been constrained by time and weather. I also picked up the guidebook for sale at the ticket counter and in the gift store as a memento. It provides a wonderful history of the palace and its succession of residents, accompanied by some wonderful photos.

Pretty boring. Not really worth the price. Big focus on Victoria and previous monarchs, better off to watch a documentary imo - you would get more context. Enjoyed walking through Hyde Park to get there though. Cute gardens too.

Amazing place full of excellent royal history. I really enjoyed a day out in this perfect place. I appreciate it to everyone who is interested about the history especially about the history of Her Majesty Queen Victoria and Princess Diana. I took many amazing photos outside the Palace. The Sunken gardens were and still are beautiful. Really want to come back.

Although I visited Kensington Palace in winter, it is better to visit this place during spring time. The gardens that sorround the Palace are really gorgeous and the green of nature and the variety of colours provided by the flowers give to this place a perfect background for any type of photo. Inside the palace you will find nice painted halls with fantastic portraits of well known members of the royal family. Plus some dresses from centuries ago. Maybe you can ask for more displays of elements but I think it is ok.
The souvenirs shop is mainly for women and children. Just a few items for men. The area dedicated to Princess Diana is by far the best of this place.

There are so many beautiful love stories connected with this palace, both touching and sad (George II and Caroline, Victoria and Albert, Diana), but the place seems so devoid of any humanity - no real connection to the past and the people who inhabit it. The grandeur of the King's apartments is definitely something impressive to behold, but the place feels like a bit of an empty shell, a recreation...

I spent an enjoyable 3 hours here looking at the Diana dress exhibition and the various rooms.
Lots of history all well explained by a short poster as you enter a room, red books with more detail in each room and very enthusiastic knowledgeable 'explainers' if you have any questions.
Great gift shop and Cafe ( accessible even if you don't tour the Palace).
Small formal Diana sunken garden to walk around.
And of course you get to see the outside of where William & Kate and their children live as well as Harry and Meghan and a few other minor Royals as they all live at the back of Kensington Palace!

Kensington Palace is beautifully maintained and the tours are extraordinary - actors revive the past and so you get to meet the King s mistress, his confidant and the Queen. The way the Palace is presented to the visitors is very creative and gives you a great impression as to how life at the court has been when Kensington Palace was at the center of court life. Most remarkable is also the presentation of Queen Victoria s childhood including her original toys - all in all, it s worth the visit and besides the way everything is presented, the rooms are of course remarkable. After all, it s a Royal Palace which never ceased to be one.

I have visited Kensington Palace just after the refurbishment some years back and I can honestly say that it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it. I think that all visitor's to London should go and have a good look around, plus the Tea house there has some delicious cakes and pastries ect and must not be missed.

The palace is lovely with beautifully themed displays that take you through the rooms. The displays about Victoria are outstanding, however, the area covering the reign of William and Mary needs some serious work to refresh it.

I went to see an exhibition on Queen Victoria. Very topical following the TV series , and the exhibition came alive with actors playing some of the roles such as Queen Victoria, Prince Albert and Lord Conroy . You could speak to them and ask them questions on just about anything and they were clearly very knowledgeable about the topic. Well worth going to see it.

A huge park for the kids to play and run around, nice playground with Merry-go-round, a small lake for families to enjoy, away from the busy and overcrowded London city (for little children). Of course there is the Kensington palace to visit, the cafe next door and the Sunken garden where princess Diana enjoyed regularly.

Not Buckingham but much more accessible. Didn't take the tour this trip, but hope to in the future. The adjacent gardens and park were beautiful and nicely maintained. The items in the gift shop seemed very nice and the ones I checked were actually made in England! People seemed to be enjoying their meals in the cafe. The whole area was nicely busy with happy tourists and local families enjoying the park.

Loved Kensington Palace. The staff were very friendly and informative. It concentrated on the history of Queen Victoria and the Georgian monarchs leading up to her becoming queen. Not too much info to digest and well spread out to allow for social distancing. The cafe seating was outside for weather permitting coffee and snacks.

Had been to this beautiful palace with family including my little one over Easter weekend break. There was Easter bunny hunt taking place so had taken my 5 year old.
Lovely palace and excellent paintings on display. The best of all is the sunken garden. Amazing display of colourful flowers. It was majestic experience.

Had a lovely day out here and surprisingly not too busy considering it is the summer holidays. So interesting learning about the history and lots of staff around in period dress happy to answer questions and interact with visitors while keeping to character. You will bump into Prince Albert and Queen Victoria among others. Currently exhibiting Queen Victoria's clothes and personal possessions which is fascinating. Had a gorgeous walk through Kensington Palace gardens afterwards and of course plenty of photo opportunities next to those famous gates. Would definitely recommend.

London is much greener than I thought initially and Kensington Palace Gardens is another proof for that. Lovely garden to walk and relax once you have finished the palace tour. There was not much rush on Saturday when we visited palace.

This place has it all... Clean bathrooms, royal smells, royal food, costumes for kids to play dress up and a mind boggling confusing layout..

PRO TIP... go to the bathroom before you start your tour otherwise when your kids ask you to go potty and you try to find your group, you may need a search party

Beautiful well preserved and presented palace and artifacts in an accessible setting. Well worth the visit. Hyde Park and the gardens at Kensington add to the experience greatly. My only tip is if you are going in the summer come well hydrated. This is my 3rd visit and it is warm (very warm) in the palace. Cheers!

About WILDWORKS, Kensington Palace

WILDWORKS, Kensington Palace: Bringing History to Life

Welcome to Historic Royal Palaces, where history comes alive. Our mission is to bring the stories of our six palaces to life and allow visitors to experience history where it happened. One of our most iconic palaces is Kensington Palace, located in the heart of London.

Kensington Palace has a rich and fascinating history that spans over 400 years. Originally built in 1605 as a mansion for Sir George Coppin, it was later purchased by King William III and Queen Mary II in 1689. Since then, it has been home to many members of the royal family including Queen Victoria and Princess Diana.

Today, Kensington Palace is open to the public as a museum where visitors can explore its stunning architecture and learn about its royal residents throughout history. With over 300 years of royal heritage on display, there's something for everyone at this historic palace.

At WILDWORKS, we're dedicated to providing an unforgettable experience for all visitors who come through our doors. We offer a range of tours and exhibitions that showcase the palace's rich history and provide insight into what life was like for its former residents.

One popular exhibition at Kensington Palace is "Victoria Revealed," which explores the life of Queen Victoria through her own words and personal items on display. Visitors can see everything from her wedding dress to her childhood toys as they learn about one of Britain's most beloved monarchs.

Another must-see attraction at Kensington Palace is "Diana: Her Fashion Story." This exhibition showcases some of Princess Diana's most iconic outfits throughout her life as well as exploring how she used fashion as a way to communicate with people around the world.

In addition to these exhibitions, we also offer guided tours led by expert historians who will take you on a journey through time as they share stories about the palace's past residents and events that took place within its walls.

But WILDWORKS isn't just about showcasing historical artifacts - we're also committed to preserving them for future generations. That's why we have an extensive conservation program in place that ensures all items on display are properly cared for so they can be enjoyed by visitors for years to come.

So whether you're interested in learning more about British royalty or simply want to explore one of London's most iconic landmarks, WILDWORKS at Kensington Palace has something for everyone. Book your tickets online today and experience history like never before!
