This is the perfect place for a romantic date night. The food and service was impeccable. Our server was Keith. He was knowledgeable and attentive to everyone that he served. We will be returning for seconds and, maybe, thirds!

Delicious! A superb quality for the price. The baked penne is easily the best I've had anywhere. My wife got a lamb ravioli style dish I can't remember the name of that was equal parts unique as it was tasty.

My only complaint is the portion size isn't astronomical, but frankly, no one needs more food than they offer unless you're a body builder or an "excessively sized person".

The staff is great and accommodating and knowledgeable, and the environment is extremely pleasant.

We will definitely return!

Wow! From the wood fired sourdough bread served with the spicy olive oil to their own infused eau de vie, the Olive makes it happen. True handmade pastas, gorgeous desserts, an eclectic wine list with plenty of good looking wines in the $40 range and a vibrant staff that surely enjoys their work. Go. Submit yourself to the bread and pasta and espresso and Mediterranean wines that is the Wild Olive.

Absolutely fantastic. Great alternative to seafood restaurants. Service was great, the food: simply marvelous.
Get the potato side 100%. Pappardelle was so delightful. Lasagna was a nice alternative to traditional lasagna.
Strawberry mojito with basil and sorbet, amazing.

were amazing, the waitress was even really awesome and I cant remember her name but she was the best. The only complaint that I have is about the hostess. Her dress was way too short. Thats the only complaint other than it was absolutely amazing.

Service was excellent. Food was terrible. Pasta dish was over salted and tasted like pizza delivery pasta. Cake of the day was bland. Cappuccino was sour. The acoustics in the restaurant are deafening.

Great experience and our waitress was well beyond knowledgeable of the menu and very helpful. Loved the atmosphere. We got the Italian Mojito which was awesome. The food was just okay in my opinion. It was satisfying enough, but not enough for me to want to come back and eat again. The restaurant staff and service is what made me rate it 4 stars instead of 3.

Wait staff wears masks BUT nothing was socially distanced inside [photos of empty tables taken AFTER people left; for inside visual & atmosphere purposes] , the food was both over & under salted, including bread being a bit burnt. Also took a long while for the food to come out, or simply come back with menus for dessert, extra utensils, or a drink refill.

Drinks were great, staff was very friendly, & visually was pleasing! Baby high chairs, changing table in the washroom & stroller friendly are a plus!

Super cool location with a great ambience, both inside and out. The food was amazing, and the ravioli with goat cheese was seriously the best pasta both me and my girlfriend had ever had! I definitely recommend wild olive.

My owners and my management team came here for dinner. 5 stars is not enough. Rocked it completely from every level. To the bartender Chris, to our server Alex, and the 5 million other members who make this place successful. What an incredible evening. Thank you! You guys got it going on! Come see us in Summerville if you're ever around at Low Country Fish Camp.

Superb! Every dish is so fresh and delicious! Locally sourced farm to table which we love. Atmosphere and decor is warm and inviting. Service is excellent! Everything we have ordered has been outstanding! Our favorites include the Bruschetta, Ravioli Doppio with roasted apple & ricotta, the Bavette Shrimp with spicey Fresno chili and basil (if you like spicey), and the Ricotta Gnocchi with a side dish of Tomato braised meatball. Also, our friend really enjoyed the Pappardelle. You can get half orders or full, or get two half orders to try a couple of different entres. The desserts are delicious, too! You will not leave hungry. Wild Olive is our favorite restaurant on John's Island, and is about 15-20 mins from Kiawah Island.

Finally was able to go for dinner at Wild Olive Saturday evening. Our first time there. First thing I noticed is how nice the parking area looked. Inside was a nice atmosphere with some music playing over the speakers. Loved the whole More

Lovely little restaurant delectable menu. Delicious rice balls, every entree from our table was superb. Montepulciano wine is so smooth. Had room for dessert because of half portions available. Homeade gelato, peanut butter gelato with warm chocolate cake, beer cake, and tiramisu! So delicious. We'll be back.

Our favorite place. The food is incredible. I have yet to try something that I did not absolutely love. Food, wine, mixed drinks, dessert...it's all great. The service is top notch. Melissa is amazing. If there's one place that I always recommend, it's Wild Olive. Can't wait for our next visit.

This is one of the best restaurants I've tried in Charleston, and the servers are amazing and quick. I highly recommend coming here, you won't regret it! (Make sure you get the side of potatoes... Sounds lame, I know, but they are to die for.)

I have been to Wild Olive on multiple occasions and have always had a wonderful experience. The food is amazing. I lived in Florence, Italy for a while and when I came back to the states I was constantly disappointed in the Italian food. However, when I found Wild Olive I was extremely pleased by the authentic Italian cuisine. The ambience is perfect for a dinner date or a special occasion. I highly recommend dining at Wild Olive and enjoying a night out in John s Island!

Best Italian restaurant we've been to in awhile!

Best Italian restaurant we've been to in awhile!

We ordered the meatball and fried mashed potatoes for sides, the baked penne and bolognese for mains, and the tiramisu and banana cream cheesecake pie for dessert. We also ordered a carafe of the house red which was a merlot. Our bill was just under $100, and it was 110% worth it!

We were celebrating our honeymoon, and our waiter, Marco, was fantastic. He was friendly, well-informed about the menu, and didn't interrupt our meal. Definitely deserves a "well done" from the manager!

The meatball was perfectly done with great Italian seasoning and parmesan on top sitting in warm marinara sauce. The fried mashed potatoes were absolutely a must and tasted incredible. I can't even describe them to you, but everyone who goes to Wild Olive needs to try them.

As for our main dishes, the baked penne was great and tasted fresh and homemade with quality melted cheese, sweet sausage (not too sweet but just sweet enough), and tasteful sauce. The bolognese was absolutely delicious and had creamy sauce and great texture. There was just the right amount of meat to add flavor and not overpower the dish.

The merlot was smooth and had waves of raspberries and dark chocolate. As for dessert, the tiramisu was light with rich, silky flavors, and the banana cream cheesecake pie was sweet, light, creamy, and delicate.

The ambiance was both lively and romantic. There weren't too many people in each room, and it allowed for inside-voice conversation. Music was appropriate and relaxing as well.

Overall, our experience at Wild Olive was incredible for an outstanding price. If you're looking for a place to eat at any of the islands in SC, Wild Olive is the place to go. The experience is well worth your buck! If we're in the area again, we will definitely be returning.
