Wiegands Lake Park Review

Absolutely beautiful!!! This park will enchant you with it's beauty. The grounds are well maintained and clean. It is large enough for family reunions, wedding receptions, company picnics, and the like. I was there for their Water's Edge Art Festival this past May and it was an amazing experience. It was very well put together with a lot of beautiful art and nature to behold. This park is definitely one of Geauga County's nature gems!

It is a place I look forward to going to once a year. If you have a business great place for you and your employees to unwind and have fun.

Delightful time at this lovely place on this one day a year it is open to the public. Nice eats, paddle boats, a ball field, horse shoes and corn hole, live entertaining, artisans and a ballroom. Charming. Except for the staff...

Sooo much fun, beautiful grounds, great food and amenities and an amazing crew of employees.

We visited for an art show. Neat idea. It was a nice time, but shy on art. The band playing was fun, but too loud for the space. Paddle boats were the easiest paddleboats I've ever used. A good time overall.

New Community Bible Fellowship has had their summer picnic there for the last 5 years or so. Love the staff and it's a great facility. Food is excellent and there are plenty of activities for the whole family!

Omg!! Amazing can transforma and accomadate organized and loose events. Many ammentities and cery clean. Friendly staff amazing Ice cream there chocolate sofft serve taste like a wendys frosty!!!

We had our wedding here and it was wonderful. From the owner (Wendy) through the entire staff. Everyone was pleasant and made the day that much better. Each individual went above and beyond what they had to do in order to make sure things went smoothly. Not to mention the setting was beautiful. As this is a park that you rent out we did the majority of the decorating which was actually nice. We were to showcase our theme. The deck where they hold the ceremony was perfect. A little difficult to navigate as the stairs are steep and the hill is steeper, but dropping into a small lake side area to be wed was lovely. One last shout out for this location is about our cake. It broke. But, Wendy sprang into action and reached out to a friend of hers that owns a local bakery. They sent a young lady to the park who spent an hour or so repairing the cake and making sure it was ready for the reception. She did an awesome job. We could not be happier with the outcome of the whole day...including being married.

Love having our annual company picnic here. Truly peaceful and a great setting to catch up with new and old friends. The park has the charm of yesteryear, yet many activities, is clean and well maintained.

Had a parish picnic here. AYCE food/drink/dessert. Lots to do there such as corn hole, paddle boats, swimming, and plenty of area to walk and hike on trails through the woods/park. It's a bit tight, and has alot of tree. It is private from the road. Entire parish loved it. 4 stars just for limited food selection.

Very friendly staff. Beautiful scenery. Food is okay, more like carnival food with hot dogs, hamburgers, slashes, ice cream and pop corn. Would definitely go back and recommend.

We were extremely happy with our experience at Wiegand's Lake Park for our wedding on Sept. 14, 2019! The current owner's Ken and Carrie along with the prior owners Wendy and Bill were more than accommodating and an absolute pleasure to work with. We had complete confidence in their ability to provide an excellent venue for our wedding and they delivered on all of our expectations! This is a business that was built on family value's and it is clear that these value's are going to continue into the foreseeable future and hopefully for decades to come. If you're looking for a venue to host your event both outdoors or inside, you owe it to yourself to meet with the staff at Wiegand's Lake Park to see what they can provide for you. I was told that the park is privately owned and only open to the public once a year. Unfortunately the rain was a deterrent from fully exploring the park but what I did see was beautiful.

Very beautiful park. This is the second time I've been here. My husband's Union has held their picnic here 3 years in a row. All 3 events have been wonderful. They provide everything, food, beverages, events for kids. All the staff in very friendly and helpful. Everything is very clean.

Nice little park. Was great for our company picnic. Also would be nice for a quaint wedding by a lake. Good food, and very clean. Lots to do, paddleboats, sand volleyball, Cornhole, kickball, playground, etc.

A fantastic park for almost every outdoor activity you can think of. Basketball courts, sand volleyball, Cornhole boards and paddleboating are the main attractions along with multiple pieces of playground equipment strewn across the beautiful landscape.

This place has many activities to keep your guests entertained. The staff here was great. I attended a wedding that was planned for outside but was moved inside due to rain. The wedding happened in the ballroom, then dinner downstairs, then we moved back upstairs for dancing and dessert. the whole event went on without a hitch.
This is a beautiful place as well. You can tell that the owners take pride in what they've got.
Activities include horseshoes, volleyball, paddle boats, a playground, and plenty of space to walk around to get some air.
