I like the idea of the product but the reliability and customer service is awful. My strap stopped working after 3 months and I reached out a week ago to get it replaced and still haven't even received a shipping confirmation. Three different people confirmed that a new one was on the way but I doubt that's the case. All the while I'm paying $30/month for absolutely nothing while spending too much of my time trying to get this resolved. I'd recommend sticking to whatever you currently have for fitness tracking.

I have been following this company for years before finally purchasing it. If you haven't checked out their podcast, I highly recommend it. They will bring in their own team members to explain the data and how they get to the data points and what to make of the data. They will also bring in other Whoop wearers which can range from Green Berets to athletes to trainers. Understanding the data and listening to what others want to get from it will help shape what you want to get from it. What gets measured gets improved. Whoop has helped me understand me tremendously. I am a Whooper for life.
As a WHOOP user for over 2 years now, I'm honestly disappointed in myself for taking this long to leave a review. I can't really put into words how amazing my experience has been with both the WHOOP strap itself, or the WHOOP team members that have been so quick/enthusiastic to help whenever I've had a question.. but I'll do my best:
First the product - Sounds bit drastic but my whoop strap has sort of become a part of me and my everyday life. I never have to take it off, I don't even really notice I'm wearing it anymore. Yet, I check my app every morning to see how well I slept and how prepared I am for the day. I check it after every workout to see how hard I pushed myself. And I check it every evening to see what my recommended sleep for that night should be. It allows me to track my data for each day, week, and even month to see how one compared to another.. and really gives me a better understanding of where I can be better. They're always updating the strap and adding new incredibly useful features that while I didn't know I needed at the time, I now can't see myself without. Aside from how awesome the strap is at doing what it's intended to, it also looks and feels really good on your wrist. I've got a bunch of different bands that I interchange between depending on what I'm wearing.
And then their service - For the few times I've ever reached out, which have really only been to ask questions about how a certain feature works or get a better understanding of a certain data statistic, somebody has contacted me almost immediately every time to help clarify. They really are eager to help you get the most out of their product, and even checked back in with me to see how things were going later down the line. Impressed is putting it lightly.
All in all: An absolutely awesome product offered by an organization that truly cares about their customers and improving their overall well-being. Would highly recommend to anyone.
also trying to seek reimbursement for recurring charges and no one answers phone although says open 24 hrs. How do i contact you all if no customer service available?
Horrible customer service. received this as a gift and tried to return it as I am not interested in tracking myself all day long. They make it nearly impossible to return. Keeps asking me to create an account just to return. SOMEBODY ANSWER ME!
If I believe the marketing this should be a great product. Mine worked for 4 days and has gone dead just like the customer service team. The are now not even replying to my emails. I have an expensive piece of tech that is not working. I'd like to return it and get my money back but no one will speak to me. Will Ahmed should get a grip on his people and instil in them the value of good customer service. I'm not happy to give it one star but I can't post this unless I do.
I ve never had to deal with customer service, but my strap seems to work well. I wish it measured muscle strain, but works well with cardio. As a company shipping took about 3-4 weeks, but they kept me updated. The podcasts (locker) info is helpful. I expect better info/incite with more analytics in the upcoming years. I hope the best for this company and hope they get their apparent support customer service addressed.
Whoop has changed my life! In learning how much my sleep, alcohol and nutrition affects my body I have created healthier habits and transformed my body and mind. I will continue to use this product and would recommend to anyone trying to make life changes. Also their customer service is the best I have probably ever experienced!
Overall, I really love the WHOOP product and program. It is well suited to serious athletes vs. recreational fitness enthusiasts or the average person who just wants to track their moderate daily activity. It is simple, easy to use, and doesn't promote fussing and obsessing over data all day long. And I say this, not only as a master level competitive cyclist and fitness enthusiast, but after using many other devices and apps that measure and analyze HR, HRV, sleep, etc. This is not a Fitbit, Garmin multi-sport watch, or an Apple Watch. This is comparing Apples (pun intended) and oranges. WHOOP is a product that focuses on measuring overall athletic strain, recovery, and sleep, all aimed toward helping us determine how much strain we should take on for the day. If you are looking for a sophisticated product to track your activities and monitor multiple data while doing this, WHOOP can do this at a fundamental level, but that is not the intent of the program in my perspective. If you want to seriously and accurately measure your workouts and see all sorts of data while working out, get an expensive multi-sport wearable or bike computer with a power meter, and use a chest heart rate monitor. And you can still use WHOOP with these products. They complement each other.
For the research nerds, check out the study by Berryhill et al, "Effect of Wearables on Sleep in Healthy Individuals: A Randomized Cross-Over Trial and Validation Study", which validates WHOOP's sleep analysis to polysomnography data.
Finally, the only reason why I am not giving WHOOP 5 stars here is their lack of integration/syncing with Apple Health. Many of us serious health and fitness enthusiast and Apple users use Apple Health as the final resting place for much of our health, fitness, and medical data (labs, medication, exercise, HR data, HRV, sleep, etc). We need our high quality WHOOP data in Apple Health! This will only increase the value of the WHOOP product, and increase both customer satisfaction and loyalty. I realize that many of these app and fitness device companies are competing with each other, and there are some valid reasons for not sharing raw data, but in this case I feel the "partnership" and open source marketing approach is the best for WHOOP. Personally, it will only increase my positive impression of WHOOP and motivate me to continue using the product, vs. using their raw data in Apple Health as source data for another fitness app or program. WHOOP, you need to be confident enough in your product to trust that being more open and partner focused is good for your business, not a risk or liability. Your customers are asking for this functionality. Please listen to your customers. Thank you.
WHOOP is tremendous. If you don t have one yet, what are you waiting for?! We sleep 1/3 of our lives so why not learn how to get the most out of it? WHOOP is the answer!
My Whoop stop taking a charge. I have since called the main office FiVE time with ZERO call backs, I have also email with NO response. Terrible customer service, stay away.
The data collected about my health from the whoop strap is invaluable. I'm able to make much better health decisions, and I'm a whoop lifer now. Customer service is on point too
Ordered a Whoop 3.0 and signed up for a 6 mo subscription. Wish I had not. The device delivered was an out of the box defect. Would not even pair with the Whoop app. Emailed customer service and was asked to follow multiple steps to resolve, such as force stopping the app, uninstalling then reinstalling the app, powering phone on and off, among other actions. None worked. Rather than just offering to replace what is clearly a low cost device with poor QC, I was asked to download and send log files from the Whoop app as if I was a beta tester.
In total, I have spent more than 2 hours just trying to get the device to sync to the app. Now the device won't even go in to pairing mode. Not once during over a half dozen lengthy emails with tech support was an offer made to simply replace a clearly defective device. Then I had to ask muliple times to cancel and send me a return label to send back the device. I was then provided with a link that supposedly gave me instructions to cancel and get a return label, another attempt to make cancelling inconvenient. That link returned a 404 error message!
This device is just not ready for prime time and service is poor. On top of that the $30/mo subscription fee is excessive. I agree with other reviews noting same info available for free on an Apple watch with sleep tracking. Also like other reviews I suspect I will see a subscription charge on my CC regardless that I was never able to even set up an account b/c device would never pair to app, and I'll have to dispute charge with the CC company. Terrible experience overall.
LOVE THIS COMPANY! I was a little hesitant about the price but after just a month of of use I was hooked. I have know been on Whoop for 8 months and I have become better in tuned with my body and have been able to push myself as an athlete. In the past I was concerned with over training and my sleep quality, but with Whoop I can easily monitor both! Also, if you are looking for the best fitness tracker, this is the one. The IPhone and Fitbit are basically step counters compared to Whoop.
Very, very useful product. I absolutely love it. I find myself looking at the results 4-5 times per day not including while I am at the gym. I can t go without it. Customer service is top notch! UPS lost a shipment and Victoria at WHOOP went above and beyond to help me out.
Do you you like a fitness tracker with an overly complicated app? Do you like one that duplicates data tracking already done by your smart watch? Do you like a fitness tracker that doesn t automatically track your workout and can t detect what kind of workout your doing? Do you like an app that requires multiple swipes and clicks just to start a workout? Than Whoop is the tracker for you! It s a strap that fits on your write and doesn t do much else unless you specifically ask it to. It s like a smart watch with no features! And the customer service you ask? Practically none existent! Who could as for more?
Interacting with the company from a prospective customer perspective has been irritatingly abysmal; difficult to reach to get information I need, no follow-up and apparently little interest in a sale.
Ordered online and paid for 2-3 day shipping, tried emailing tried calling but never got a response. Finally 8 days later, l half of the items show up. Worst customer service and there s no place to leave a comment. And if you call, it said press # to speak with someone who can help direct your call, and it hangs up on you every time.
The Whoop strap is a scam. It does not work. I bought two Whoop straps, one for me and one for my boyfriend. One worked fine, the other was clearly faulty. After emailing back and forth with the 'helpdesk', I got nowhere. There were times that the helpdesk would not respond for 5-8 days, it felt like they were pushing the limit so that you could not return the item within 30 days. I gave detailed notes and photos demonstrating how the Whoop strap did not work. It did not link to my phone through Bluetooth and it did not charge with the battery pack. I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of help or response from their team. Be warned, if you are returning the item back (even when it's faulty and you've sent photos to prove it!), you will be deducted a $25 shipping fee from your amount. I can't believe these guys are still in business with an item that doesn't work, not to mention that the 'helpdesk' would not help me with an item that was clearly faulty and then charged me for shipping it back. I'll stick to my Apple watch. It's better quality.
The strap might very well be fabulous. However, the company has been very difficult to work with. I've been waiting a week now for a return address. The only response I can get from the company is that they are emailing me a label, but one has yet to show up. When I call the number listed on the website, it is just an automated menu that eventually leads to a "the party is unavailable" voicemail no matter the time of day you call. It really shouldn't be this difficulty. If you decide to purchase this I would make sure you are 100% sure you want it. Despite having a 30 day return policy, there is next to no information or help on returning the device.
It s honestly unbelievable how poor customer service is especially it being a subscription based service. I like my whoop but after my battery pack quit charging my whoop I reached out to customer service so they would send out a new one as I have only had it for about 3 months. You call and they act like they ll answer until two minutes in when they tell you to reach out on the internet and hang up. Email them and they respond maybe every few days. If you expect anything from customer service expect it to take two weeks for your problem to get resolved not to mention another week to if you want them to ship you something. This is truly disappointing because now my whoop is dead and I am paying for nothing to a service that can t even return my emails. If you aren t an athlete training for something do yourself a favor and avoid Whoop. Get an Apple Watch or a Fitbit.
The strap is very cool, but I ultimately decided it wasn't for me, so I returned it. Although communications from Whoop were prompt and very helpful as I was purchasing, communications have dropped off entirely since I returned the item. The item was successfully returned on June 1st. Since then, I've received zero responses to my inquiries. I have no idea whether this is just delayed or something else. I've been forced to go through my credit card to file a claim.
TLDR: be cautious of their 30-day return policy. I am now without the product, without my money, and without any explanation/clarity as to what is going on with my refund.
Update: shortly after posting this review, I received a response and was advised that my refund has been processed and I will receive it in the next few days. I'll update this review accordingly once I do.
Just to be clear, I am otherwise 100% happy with the Whoop - again, it just wasn't for me personally.
Great app, love my strap and Ian called me a week after I started using the app to help me interpret the data properly. He was awesome and I couldn't be happier.
The Whoop strap was recommended by a coworker. I ordered and received the Whoop strap in a timely fashion but was very disappointed with the metrics and accuracy. I requested a return label well within the first 30 days. It took almost a week to receive the label via email. I sent it off and tracked that it had been successfully delivered so I was shocked when I was charged for an additional month of the subscription. Several emails to customer service later and still nothing. After having read some of the reviews it seemed that taking to twitter to write a less than favourable tweet was the bast course of action. It worked within 5 minutes of of posting the tweet I received a response. It is terrible that it took a public shaming to get a response and a refund of the charge. Extremely poor customer service. I found that everything that the Whoop band provided could be garnered more accurately with the $4.99 autosleep app and my apple watch. Complete waste of money for what is essentially a sleep monitor.
Got my WHOOP for Christmas in 2016 and it hasn't left my wrist! Couldn't be more pleased with the features as well as the amazing company that is behind the product. Any issues whatsoever and they address it as quickly as possible, I would highly recommend!
Happy with the product thus far. My experience with customer service was effective and efficient. The issue wasn't theirs it was with the shipping company and they still handled things as if they were a part of WHOOP.
The concept is brilliant but the tech isn t there yet. It works well for some of my friends but not for me. My advice is to wait a year until they get the algorithm to work better. I feel like I m a QA tester for this product.
This was designed for men. The Whoop fit poorly, I am a regular sized woman and the rectangular portion under the strap that reads the heart rate was wider than my wrist. It was getting irregular readings, customer service told me to wear it higher on my arm or on my bicep. You have to strap it on tighter when it s higher up or it will work it s way down the arm. During a workout that s fine but sleeping with it is uncomfortable and disrupted my sleep.
Not a fan. I am fairly tech savvy, and was not able to figure this device out at all. Read instructions, watched videos, talked to a friend that has one. UGH. Too much for a device that is $30 per month to use. My friend said it s a great device, yet not user friendly or intuitive at all. I wish she had told me before as I would not have purchased it in the first place. After three days of trying I am throwing in the towel and sending back. I tried to call the customer service number and it told me to Email Due to High Demand and hung up on me. READY TO RETURN now.... Can t even figure that out.
The Whoop 3.0 has been the missing piece to my workouts and life around sleep and recovery. It has been truly enlightening. Many times I would push through workouts or wonder why I wasn't able to perform like I should. With the Whoop I now realized I was overtraining often. I am now healthier, less injury prone and feel better than a long time. There have been some critical reviews about Whoop's customer service but I have found them to be above and beyond in all aspects of my dealings. Well done Whoop!
One of the worst run companies I have ever encountered. It took over 2 weeks to receive my strap from date of order. The strap itself is decent for tracking simple things, but far from accurate. The wrist strap is made of cheap quality. This item is more novelty than anything else.
Aside from this, their customer service is up there as being one of the worst I have seen. Takes ages to get a response back, and if you require any information regarding the actual strap metrics, you get pre-written responses or copy and pasted from their blogs.
I cancelled my membership and submitted to return my strap after a week of using it. It's been over a week and I still haven't received my return label to ship it back. We are talking about a return label people, that can easily be emailed and done by most companies within an hour or two.
If you are looking for an accurate tracking device, this is not the one. Don't waste your time or money.
Product has been incredible for 8 months. Really really love it. Was offered upgrade to 3.0 but has long lead times. All of a sudden 2.0, stopped working and asked support for help. Nothing. Even added a Corp exec to the thread, nothing. Customer service really needs to be improved.
I was really excited to get my Whoop band. The excitement quickly faded as I came to realize its an over hyped Fit Bit. None of the tracking is accurate (I used a heart rate monitor to compare), the charger is bulky and there's no customer service.
Save your money, use your Apple Watch or Fit Bit. By far the most over-hyped product Ive ever purchased.
Product is as advertised, if there are any issues along the way the customer support is above and beyond what other company s offer, you will not be disappointed
Order a band 3.0 but haven't received it yet. Super excited to try it out. Took off three stars as the Whoop website is really bad. They sell a handful of upgraded straps from $15 to $39 and there isn't a single word on the differences between them. I also called the corporate office and there phone system isn't working..
Unbelievable customer service! It is refreshing that the CSR's at WHOOP actually help with issues rather than que me to diagnose their technical issue and "fix" it myself. Thank you WHOOP!!
I am recovering from a very serious illness and bilateral hip surgery. Tough times for me. Good recuperation is all about finding a balance between strain and recovery. Before I invested in a Whoop it was all guess work for me. Now with my Whoop strap I have actual numbers. I wake up ... check my Whoop app for my recovery and now (quite often) stay in bed for another hour...... also ..... long naps are now are a thing in my life.
Good data is the key.
I have recovered more in one month with my Whoop and the data I can now access, than I have over the last 6 months without .
I am very happy with this product and the support team who are always there to answer my silly questions.
My husband got the Whoop for me for my birthday in March. I set it up in April and in May I started to have significant issues with the strap staying connected to my iPhone. I sent a detailed email to the support group explaining the problem.
I cannot believe how poor the support has been. As a retired executive in high-tech I would be embarrassed if this was my company or my team. I got an initial response from Kate. And then I went 2 weeks without any response as the problem continue and I asked for help.
Eventually I got one other response from Kate after I sent a message through the main support email asking for a supervisor. Instead I got Kate again, who apologized for the delay and asked me if the problem was continuing. I responded within hours that the problem was continuing and have not heard back from them again for over two weeks.
While this idea is a good one, the product and more importantly the support have significant issues. It is an expensive product and I would not recommend it. My husband pre-paid for six months and it has been a waste of money and my time.
It is very rare that I write any reviews online but I felt it was important to warn others if you have a problem don t expect to get any help.
I use my Whoop strap every day and it's really improved and helped my workout performance and how I approach day to day health and recovery. I was introduced to it by my friend who's a serious runner, and the caliber of the product is generally top notch. The app works well, the HRV notes are helpful.
Ideally, nothing goes wrong and customer service is never needed because the times I have had to reach out, it's not gone well/effectively. I'm not sure if they need to hire more support/customer service reps to lighten the load, or train them differently, but I have reached out for technical specs as well as pricing, and had frustrating interactions both times. For the specs, I noticed a discrepancy in Sleep Coach notifications that was making recommendations that didn't line up at all with the current time (e.g. I'd set wakeup time for 6am and Whoop would give me sleep coaching to stay in till 8:16am) and reached out for help. After repeated back and forth and being assured that they were looking into it, I got the anticlimactic response that this was simply how the app was built. Our thread back and forth took two weeks total to arrive at this conclusion. For pricing, I was excited to hear about the arrival of Whoop 3.0 and wanted to check it out. Whoop 3.0 was marketed as a "free strap" with a few months' membership ($120), and I was disappointed to find out that in order to get the Whoop 3.0 I'd still be paying that membership, even though I'd already signed up for an annual subscription (Whoop is subscription based, month to month). It's paying membership twice, and when I reached out to Whoop to see what could be done, the response I got back was a similarly generic 'this is how we do things.' Sigh.
Nevertheless, I've since gotten a Whoop 3.0 and am waiting for it to ship end of this month (Sept 2019). Opening a third ticket with support now because the Whoop 2.0 strap that I have has been stuck in "data catching up" for a few days and keeps disconnecting without warning. I'm a tad worried that support for the Whoop 2.0 within the app has been rolled back to make room for the Whoop 3.0, without notice. Hoping that's not the case, and will update the review once I've heard back.
**UPDATED: I reached out to cancel Whoop 3.0 and received a prompt refund as well as a replacement Whoop 2.0 strap, both of which were super appreciated on my part. That's unfortunately the end of the good news, as the replacement Whoop 2.0 strap is running into the exact same issues. I will be sending it back in the graciously included pre-addressed bubble mailer that Whoop sent alongside it.
I absolutely love Whoop . I ve been using it for about 2 years and it s been game changing . I have so many gut health issues from cancer treatment but I m also very active . It s helped me to really take back my health . As a PT /RD I recommend it to my patients. I mention it almost every time I present . Lastly, their customer service is the absolute BEST ! Highly recommend!!!!
Been using the Whoop 3.0 for 2 months now and I love it. The shipping was messed up due to COVID but it wasn't their fault and they communicated + gave me a free month for my troubles. I just ordered my wife a Whoop because she saw how I was using the data and how the product is rock solid.
Great idea poor execution. Strapped stopped working after 3 months. Non-existent customer service. Canceled my membership. Will look for another solution or wait until Whoop has a functioning customer service department.
Love my Whoop!! I can not say enough good about the customer service as well. Because Whoop is always developing new ways to measure recovery, physical exertion and sleep and they are only concerned with life improvement in these areas they are THE go place for improving your training and recovery!!
Ive been using the product for about 6 weeks and really love the data that is provided. It's lightweight and stays put during intense workouts. It works extremely well. I've also had to call customer service and they were very efficient and solved my issue quickly.
Love my Whoop and despite worrying about customer service based on prior reviews, have been very pleasantly surprised by the level of support provided on the few instances where I have had connectivity issues. Looking forward to seeing the company continue to grow!
Was a bit sceptical in the beginning and quality of support depends a bit according to who you talk to. But recent support conversations with Connor won me over. I understand now better the algorithms. I am allready trying for 3 years to get out of a debilitating illness best compared with CFS/burn-out/overtraining that left me bedridden for a big portion of the time. Once I am better I took on too much or too less strain without knowing. Causing fall back (post exercise sleep disruption) or missed potential. Whoop tells me when I need to rest or when I need to exercise taking away the risk and spikes out of my recovery trajectory! I have been running from doctor to doctor for all those years. Finally after being advised Whoop by the KUL Bakala University's Athletic Performance Centre related doctor here in Leuven, Belgium I finally found something that really helps me to recover. After 3 years of misery I am finally able to cycle again!!! Thank you so much Whoop.
The data is interesting and the 24/7 HR tracking is great for tracking overall trends but the day to day metrics are pretty inaccurate. Also the customer service is TERRIBLE. No response to emails. No live answer phones or option to leave a voicemail. Way too expensive for what you get. I paid up front for 18 months. I'm 12 months in and will not be renewing.
Highly recommend! Absolutely love the software capabilities, the app functions and data collection. The pricing plan options have several different availabilities which is really nice and the customer service team is exceptional. Luca was my service rep that helped me and was very professional, compassionate and went above and beyond to help me to ensure satisfaction. Whoop is constantly updating and adding features making sure that you have the latest up to date features. The sleep data collection is my favorite part and that you don t have to be a professional athlete to use and learn from this product. Great product for anyone and everyone. Definitely recommend you give it a try!
Highly recommend this device for all ages and professions to optimise activity, recovery and sleep. Whoop uncovers opportunities to improve these functions and provides insights via data to track your progress when addressing them. Fantastic technology.
Terrible Service. If you get stuck, you are on your own. Bought the product and it would not work. Could not connect to the app and no number to call. You have to email. Takes days to get an email back. I requested a return. Got email saying it takes a couple days for them to send me the shipping label. Over a week later and multiple emails asking where the missing label is...no label and no response. Call the number listed, it just keeps disconnecting. I want my money back and to return the product. In the meantime, their "return clock" is ticking down. Terrible and frustrating.
Very great! I love the feedback this gives me and their team is amazing at figuring things out of something comes up. Great customer service and product!!
Nice concept, but the device that is strapped to your wrist is alway falling off. If you sit at a desk all day or don't use your arms the device does what it says. While on a hike or at my job the device fell off the wristband again and I lost it. The company is still charging me a monthly fee. Read the fine print buyer beware. Not a fan
I have been a member for just about 2 weeks now but unable to use my strap since last Friday. It stopped charging about a week after I received it and trying to handle the issue with customer service has been a nightmare. You can t get anyone on the phone and every time you receive an email it is from a different person. I enjoyed it for the week it was working but am beyond frustrated with the inability to get any concrete answers from anyone
I have tried at 3 other wrist based fitness trackers and have only had the product for a short while, but with the little experience I have had, I'm a big fan. I'm a garbage man and am pretty brutal with my gear, the strap has held up to a few 10 hours days out in the rain, followed up by a stint at the climbing gym one day and few hours lifting weights another, and a fairly strenuous yoga routine another day along with other similar activities with no discomfort and zero lag in data. The info provided is well displayed and seems to be very consistent. I'll add an update later but I am quit impressed at this point.
The strap/app is pretty good. I woke up this morning feeling run down, despite the fact that I slept well.
It said that my recovery had tanked quite a bit. I was surprised because it did reflect how I was feeling and it turns out I have been getting sick.
I also contacted support to ask a question. I received a response very quickly and it was a thorough, well thought out response. I really can't complain. It's like having a coach but cheaper.
Purchased a year membership at 400 Canadian, strap has been optimized to TROUBLESHOOTING specifications. While in my "activity" with my phone screen unlocked and on it disconnects....
Phone line is out of commission and they force you to email them most likely due to the same complaints.
You are being supported by a lot of fitness enthusiasts.
Submitted a ticket this morning. Will adjust when I've been reached out to.
I purchased an 18-month plan on May 22, 2019. I have had other fitness bands prior to transitioning to the Whoop. One of my motivations was to understand strain and sleep which it does quite well. Things kept that way until September 17th. The Whoop 2.0 strap all of a sudden stopped working because "data was catching up indefinitely".
Customer service was a bit bumpy until Brenda took over. Considered cancelling due to the issue I had with my band and the rough start to the customer service. However, I do think it's still the most useful wearable out there. Free upgrade to whoop 3.0 and an extension of my membership by a month was also a nice touch.
Their customer service is excellent. The strap seems to work as advertised. I've only been using it a couple weeks and it probably needs a full month to collect more data, but so far the information has been very insightful. However... I gave Whoop 3 stars because of the App. I use an Android device and it's significantly more restricted as compared to the iOS version. It's a little disappointing to pay the same fees as iOS users and not have the complete app experience. You can't see your entire day's heart rate, team stats (I belong to one), or map/distance tracking in the Android version. There are several other small details that don't function as well as compared to iOS. Considering how many Android users there are and that the premium Android phones have as good or better specs than iOS devices, there's really no reason not to have the apps function exactly the same.
Fantastic product! I have been a user since it launched and the data I have received over the years has allowed me to fine tune my training, sleep and nutrition habits.
I'm very pleased with the band and the information that it's providing to me and helping me to adjust my behavior to feel and perform better. Whoop customer service has been first class assisting me with questions both before and after I purchased the band. Highly recommended...
I've been a athlete/fitness enthusiast my entire life and always found it difficult to find a wearable that was actually useful to me (I never found use in tracking steps, etc.). The data and app are insanely useful and have become part of my everyday routine. It's actually helped me lose weight and gain muscle. Plus, the customer service team is 10/10 and even replaced my strap when I broke it from kettlebell swing - no questions asked. Highly recommend this to anyone who has integrated fitness as a part of their life.
If you are a competitive athlete and you're not tracking performance and recovery you will likely lose to someone who is. WHOOP is far and away the best wearable in this space. Such a small and non-cumbersome device gives you so much info and the web app and smart phone apps are so user friendly. It makes SO MUCH valuable information so accessible (and in such an easily digestible format) that looking back on training without it seems like driving a car at night without any headlights.
