Whitford Country Club Review

Whitford has something for everyone--women's events, men events, special social for teens, and family affairs. This is over and beyond the normal club activities of golf, swim, tennis, and pickle ball. Staff is wonderful. Members are friendly.

Great place to take your family or meet up with friends!

I went there with a friend of mine as a visitor! It looks fun! Friendly and welcoming staff!!

A great experience working in nature I worked in this place in 2006 mowing the grass thanks to the managers for giving us the opportunity to work in that beautiful golf club as I would like to return to that job

Came here for a bridal shower. Food was great, bathrooms were clean and staff was very attentive and polite

Had a chance to play here during a GAP tournament and the course was terrific. The clubhouse and staff were all cordial and helpful we stuck around for some beverages and even met some new friends. Would love a chance to get back here.

They do a great job hosting our Christmas party each year! Everything always looks beautiful!

My neighbors are members and they love it here. You can't see the pool from the road which is nice. The course looks lovely and well maintained. We may end up joining at some point. The fees don't sound too high with everything that's included.

It is hard for me to exaggerate Whitford's overall level of quality. I've played there and eaten there as a guest a number of times now and I have never been disappointed. The course is an excellent mix of engaging challenges and reasonable expectations. If I were a regular member I would not expect to get tired of the course. Beyond the wonderful layout the maintenance has always been impeccable. Members could do a bit better with divots and ball marks but I honestly can't think of any other complaints. Service is wonderful and the food quality is a solid 4 out of 5. I would absolutely recommend this club with zero reservations.

Beautiful place. Had a funeral reception here recently and it was absolutely fantastic in every way. Beautiful room, delicious food and the staff... Best I've ever experienced anywhere all for a very reasonable price. I just wish I go back for dinner but I believe you need to be a member for that. You do not have to be a member to have a reception there. Awesome. Thank you Dawn.

We are members for 7 years and I have hosted/attend many events. The Club is the best for the people: members and its staff. It is only improving with more weekday and Friday evening events. My kids started on the swim team and are now year long swimmers. Even if you kids are not swimmers, I recommend the program. It is the best way for them to meet other kids and stay active and healthy. It is low-key and Mrs. Hay and Coach Eric are the best! Whitford has been the best exposing our family to lifelong sports and giving us a social spot within an amazing community. It is well worth investment. As for event, they make it turnkey. The room is small, but perfect for banquets, specials events, and smaller scale weddings. Always a go-to place!

Pool is great, golf is great, food is great, what more could you ask for?

We were here for a lunch family event. Private room with great views of the golf course, clouds and more. The staff was very professional and courteous. Our meal was set as a buffet and the staff keep everything stocked quickly and efficiently. Clearly this was practiced activity. The food was deli, but very well done. Roasted turkey, not processed junk. You guess the rest. Well seasoned soup. All in all, the food and staff were sore good. Rated 4 stars only because I have no idea how this would relate to a public dining. However, I would expect it to be excellent.

We had our club awards banquet here and not only was the food well above average the staff was too!

Really enjoyed lunch. Great meeting spot. Really enjoyed the view from outdoor terrace. Looking forward to going back.

Challenging but not fun course with above average conditions. I stress NOT FUN. Punishing pin placements for a country club and a few greens need to be rebuild. Narrow sloped fairways and shaggy rough add to the frustrations. No risk/reward, just risk at this place.

We're long time Whitford members!!! I played in the 9 hole ladies group, my kids swam on the swim team. Several years later, kids all grown up & we're still enjoying our membership. My husband is an avid golfer, so he's loved the club. The staff is friendly & wonderful! The facility, from the clubhouse to the pool is fabulous!!! Sitting on the patio is relaxing & enjoyable!!!

Private lunch and was it good. A three coarse meal. Left full and fulfilled.

A Family oriented course in the growing Downingtown area of Chester County. A great Staff assures you of having a great day.

A very nice and charming place to enjoy golf and also offer space for your family events that is why I give it 5 stars.

The course is definitely a workout. Holes 2-8 have some pretty severe challenges but if you can survive those, the rest of the course is a friendlier. Most of the greens are severely sloped to the point where there are very few hole locations. 2, 4, 5, 12, 18 are a few examples. There are very few straight holes too, which did add strategic interest. Greens were very fast and smooth, severe though. But that's OK, the greens are the main defense here as the course is not long. 6700 yards par 72 from the back tees.

Food and service have slowly been going downhill. Menu is rarely changed, same cannot be saidnformthe chef who seems to be switched every other week.

Although this is a private club, they will host golf outings for your group, or Non-Profit Organization. Professional, with high standards of service.

Great course, great staff, everyone was so friendly. Pool loks awesome too

Had club party here. Food and service was great! We will be back next year!
