White Memorial Medical Center Review

So to be honest not the worse ER I ve ever been, but Dr. Page made my day. I m sure that she might be a good waiter because of her disinterest in her patients, but not a doctor. Maybe its her special way to speak to different people, but she was extremely rude.

I'm here with a friend right now and I just hated the service; yes, the doctors know what they are doing, but the customer service is horrible. The nurse that is helping my friend looks like he hates his job and this is the only option that he has in his life. Also, the security person in the waiting area seems like she expects no one to ever ask her a question. There was a security guy before who was very nice, but this woman that just started is rude. Also, I don't like that my friend has been called about 5 times already to be checked and then he gets sent again back to the waiting room.
I have been at the Beverly Hospital in East LA and if you go to the emergency room they would have you in a bed while they check whatever they need, and the customer service is way better than here. I heard a lot of good things about this hospital but tonight I was disappointed.

Over the years this hospital has became very unprofessional and lost it ethics. My family and I have been patients for more than 20 yrs but within the last 2 yrs I switched hospitals. This hospital has too many resident's and P.A's , where are the real doctors? The last time I took my 3 yr old son to the emergency room with fever and vomiting, they couldn't diagnose him with anything. My son was dehydrated already. I took him back home and he continued with higher fever. I rushed him to Greater El Monte hospital and he was diagnosed with a throat infection. Well at White Memorial they never checked his throat or they would have seen how red and irritated his tonsils were. They are very unprofessional and have become very lazy just trying to throw patients out the hospital fast. Save your family and take them somewhere else.

The hospital refused to take in a patient in an emergency situation they are facing and they rather have them die and not help. Garbage hospital.

I just wanna give a shout out to the Adventist Health White Memorial Emergency Room they were a big help with our baby boy. They answered all of my wife and I' s questions and gave us suggestions we wouldn't have thought of. The nurses were friendly and funny. Wouldn't deliever anywhere else.

My daughter had a hard time delivering, but white memorial hospital staff made memorable moments for my first time being a Grandma! I was there through all C-section.

Some of the staff is caring but I had an ER doctor intimidate me. Run by mostly bullies. Rude and unprofessional. Please go to another ER if you can.

My grandmother just got out of heart surgery thank God. I wouldnt be alive if it wasnt for this hospital because i was born here.

The WORST!!!. These people don t care if an elderly person needs urgent care. AVOID!! RUN!!! Go to county if you want to survive! No sense of urgency or compassion. Could not provide me with a wheelchair. Imaging and test done are a joke, according to my oncologist at cedars Sanai. When my oncologist called for an explanation white memorial responded by saying it was done in an emergency setting (lies).

What happened to this hospital I used to speak do highly about it. Most of the staff is so rude now last time I'm coming here.

I came to this hospital for overdose due to suicide. They acted very fast to help me. I was admitted after chest pains and nausea. The staff, especially this one nurse, was extremely kind and supportive. They were very understanding and quiet when I slept.(my room was in front of a reception desk on the 3rd floor) 5 stars. Really recommend for any emergency.

Thank you for saving my mothers life! It was so hard not being by her side because of the covid 19 restrictions. But she was telling us her experience there and she said all the nurses and Doctors were so nice and helpful. Especially a nurse name Leo. Thank you so much Leo for comforting her And shout out to the kitchen lady too my mother said she was really sweet but didnt get her name. Thank you to all the staff

They take over 3 hours just to give you discharge papers and only take 5 min to tell you the diagnosis. Yet you spend 6 hours + it s ridiculous

It s clean, following the regulations to avoid covid-19 contamination, professional and kind staff, and inclusive in pronouns & sexual orientation on paperwork ( never seen this before )!

I been to the emergency room for a couple of times these past 2 months and the staff in the emergency room are extremely rude. As soon as you walk in and talk to the front desk rep, attitude. The nurses, unprofessional. While waiting to get called or seen by a doctor all you do is hear them gossip about other patients. I have also witness how rude they talk to patients that go in scared because they're in pain. Excuse us for feeling scared. They yelled at you and give attitude for not staying calm. They need to show that they care and that they are there to help and support us when we feel sick. Instead they make fun of the patients and roll their eyes when they walk away. They dont understand how the patient is feeling the expect us to know we are over exaggerating when in reality we are scared of what we are feeling. Once admitted, the nurses on the other floors are nice, and super.caring. All the staff in the emergency room need to get replaced for nurses that care about their job and their patients or be supervised often.

I had excellent care. I had CHF and was out of ER and In ICU in about 30 minutes.

Just had my Newborn, & so far everyone been extra kind ! The room service people are fast when you call them, the rooms are clean & quite!

Today 4-7-19 The AM personnel working at ER was absolutely the best, Thanks to all of you for your dedication and compassion

DO NOT BRING ANYONE TO THIS EMERGENCY ROOM. My dad was transferred to this emergency room so he could receive an MRI along with other tests. He was transferred and due to COVID-19 I was not able to go in and wait with him. I told the paramedics,m and the nurse that he needed to use the restroom every two hours. He needed help going to the restroom as at his age it gets a little difficult to control the bladder. I also had asked them if I could be there because my dad had a language barrier and at times he won t understand the questions being asked. They refused my request even, took him in and didn t even bother to give me updates on what was happening. I called every hour for updates and reminded them several times that he needed to use the restroom every two hours. Next day it is 1:00 pm and still no MRI. The nurse was clueless about where the doctor was and could not get a hold of him. My dad called me complete in distress and pleaded me to take him out of there. He said that no one had bothered to take him to the restroom all night. He didn t quite understand what was happening. And I understood that because the nurse didn t even know where the exit of the emergency room was! My dad came home wet and soaked in his own urine. No one had bothered to give me a call to let me know he needed a change of clothes until I finally had the chance to speak to him. This is unethical and I will be putting a complaint through the hospital. Worst experience ever, not even Kaiser. This was a lack of attention and care for the elderly.

Brought my dad here for an emergency. This is one of the worst hospitals i have ever been to. Over 8 hours and still no sign of the doctor seeing him. The front desk is no help either when asked questions.

Ive never experienced such a hospital stay to be rather NICE!! Everyone that I had met, were so POLITE, CARING AND THE PROFESSIONALISM IS TRULY AMAZING!!! THE NURSES WERE SO COMPASSIONATE, EVEN IF THEY HAD A LONG DAY, THEY ALWAYS REMEMBERED TO LISTEN, AND PLACE MY HEALTH, AND ITS NEEDS FIRST... I KNOW THAT GOD LED ME TO THESE DR. AND NURSES, AS WELL AS THE HOSPITAL ITSELF!! I AM VRRY GREATFUL FOR W.M.M.C.

They work with what they have. The lady at the front desk with the tattoos could of been more understanding.

The nurse at the ER told my mother to stop lying that she was ill. That the doctor said she was lying. I will never ever forgive them. My mother was a patient.

I had my baby boy in this hospital and it was the best experience in my life. It is very nice and clean. They also made my boyfriend and I a dinner which was very nice of them.

My doctor was very informative.
He explained I might need a holter monitor.
Actually gave me a option that will actually work!
Since I can t replicate my condition and with that I will!!
The other Emergency room I went too didn t explain anything, was quick to charge my insurance and didn t even show any sympathy or concern!!
The nurses were quick to check me in and very comforting.
Even though , that s not there job.

Called for questions and the lady that answered was very rude , I have stage 2 cancer and I told her and she was very aggressive towards my questions , I don t recommend this hospital at all very very bad and unprofessional

Spent four nights in this hospital and the care was first class!

We arrived at 10pm its 3am and haven't seen a doctor.

Interesting behavior from the security staff. When I complained about the waiting area restroom having blood in and around the toilet, his consideration for me needing to pee urgently was not a priority. So when I suggested to use another restroom being that is have already been waiting for hours extremely sloppy consideration

This is the worst hospital, worst customer service. I think that USC+LAC is much faster in attending a patient. I took my mother to the ER do to her not feeling well. We got there at 7pm, and is almost midnight and the doctor has not seen her. The staff doesn't care, and wash their hands by saying that there are other priorities. What's funny is that they are fast in charging the insurance for a mediocre job. I strongly recommend staying away from this hospital, go to county, go somewhere else... But don't even come here...

This is the worst EVER !!! Took my son around 10 pm he was having a reaction to something he ate , his throat was shutting his lips had triple it size , eyes were almost shut close and he broke out in a full body rash and blisters like lesions all Over his body, he never had this happen to him by the time he was seen most of his symptoms subsided. When the doctor went in he told him there s nothing I can do you have to go see an allergist they gave him some pills and send him On his way, the dr only saw him for 5 mns maybe even less, then I get the EOB from his insurance they charged over $2000 to his insurance , over $1000 just for walking in there and the rest was dr fees and they actually charged his insurance $60.for a night service fee ,seriously!!! Wasn t over $1000 enough , And $60 for the 3 pills they gave him ,if they would have given him a rx he would of only pay $5 copay at the pharmacy so they do that to over charged the insurance ,he has an HR account and because of these ridiculous charges it completely drained his HR ACCOUNT. I get it you need to get paid for services but really over $2000 for the 5 mins he was in with the DR and for 2 pills.

I wish I can honestly give them a zero rating this place won t help you if your really feeling like something is majorly wrong with you or are dying please don t come here dr.Steven woo just looked at me and said I was having a panic attack when I showed no signs of a panic attack I was calm and breathing fine he did not provide any testing for me he just starred at me and told me I was fine I went to another hospital thankfully and comes to find out all my labs were abnormal and very high this is a very horrible way to treat patients I hope this review can help others if you don t feel well and no test are performed on you go seek help elsewhere don t waste your time here save your own life and get proper care !!!! Not here though !!!! God this isn t right I m going to sue this hospital without a doubt.

The hospital staff are compassionate and respectful. They were not very efficient during my stay but properly accommodated my needs and treated me with dignity.

Absolutely great hospital everytime I have been there.

This place left my mother with chest pains waiting in the Emergency lobby for over 10 hours if you want to die then come to this hospital. This place might as well have bums sleeping on the benches and dieying in the lobby. The nurses instead of working were all bragging about how they were going on vacation to Paris etc. Instead of doing their job on Saturday night 12-4-2020 they cared more about what they are going to buy and where they are going to go then to the people they are caring for.

I Was givin the wrong medication and they refused to call pharmacy to fill the right medicaton had to go to another hospital because I was still in pain they treated right and gave me the right meds that made me feel better don t Go this hospital Doctors are retarded and think that you don t need much

They're very good at finding a diagnosis they have adequate supplies such as sodas juices sandwiches Foods medications procedures equipment knowledgeable staff they treat the patient with dignity and try not to assume anything of the patient most importantly they don't just patient dump or mystery diagnosis two of the most frustrating things of anything in the hospital ever and it's very clean they have cable comfortable beds and the doctors have good bedside manner.

They re kind of rude here, specially when you call over the phone. I pretty much hate coming to this hospital, their service just isn t good at all. Plus they make you wait SO long just to get discharged out of the ER.

All the doctor's and nurses are very polite and very professional. Val Silba was the best with us. Always made sure we were ok. Her and her team made my experience great and took care of our newborn daughter. Just because of her if God gives us the strength to have another baby no doubt I'm coming back her because of Val Silba! Great great person!!

This ER is the worst of the worse, we took my mother with a broken arm and they just gave her a pain pill and sent her back home to go and find a doctor next week on tuesday because is a long weekend and a holiday. That place has no doctors to take care of her...never again going back there, they don't care about elderly people.

Nurses treated me good there, however, I asked for a barf bag from one other guy and he COMPLETELY ignored me. Don t work at a hospital if you don t care. PLEASE!

I love this hospital, I had 3 of my babies here best care, A+ bed side manners love the doctors so nice , I love that it is SDA faith grounded. Best care in all southern California.

There should be a better way in admitting patients, especially of the severity of the problem. My dad came in with an obstruction of the bowel, and even a toddler spitting blood and they had us wait about two hrs. So disappointed.
