Whimsy Paint and Sip Art Studio Reviews

I went with a friend of mine to a Saturday nght paint and sip over the weekend and we worked on a painting of Poppies. It was a packed house, but even with so many people in there, there was ample space to work, and it was quite comfortable. The service was great, the atmosphere and music were perfect, and we had a blast! I would definitely do it again, and honestly, had my friend not introduced me to it, I would have never thought to try it but I'm sure glad I did! The staff is very helpful if you're struggling with a technique, and I can truly say I learned some new painting skills. Very fun! Give it a try!

I've spent quite a few classes with the Whimsy staff and have learned several paintings. Aside from the fun atmosphere, the instructors are talented and helpful. Not to mention the bar had a nice selection of drinks for me and my friends. Definitely a great evening out with friends or a loved one. If you're looking for fun, you can find it there.

My wife and I went to Whimsy to celebrate Valentine's Day and had a great time! The painting for the evening was a diptych so each member of a couple could paint one canvas and then hang them together as one image.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The instruction was excellent. My wife is not experienced with painting and tends to get frustrated when things she is working on do not go as intended. The instructor was very available to answer individual questions while people were working on each step. This (and the wine) helped to ensure that we are very happy with our paintings and are displaying them on the wall.

I thought that the value was there for the price per seat and that the drink price/selection was reasonable.

It was a fun, vibrant atmosphere and we would happily recommend it to anyone looking for something different in an evening out or a party.

One of my favorite places in the world. The owners are always there, amazing artists, and great teachers. Though they really need to figure out how to not be such dorks.

Great place for an afternoon or evening of fun! I finally got a chance to go this month and my girlfriends and I had a blast! Lots of music, great choices from the bar and tons of energy!

Went here a couple months ago with a Big group and the studio was beautiful and the instructor was great and everyone had a lot of fun. Not to mention that both whimsy locations I have been to and they always have the Best most Beautiful selection of any sip and paint places out there. Both locations are 5 star!

I love this place! It is a lot of fun, and I ended up taking my boyfriend with me instead of a girlfriend. He enjoyed it and wants to go back and take some of his friends. Reasonably priced, fun music and a good time!

Whimsy is such an amazing and creative place! I absolutely love coming in to paint and share a fun night out with friends and family! I would 10 out of 10 recommend coming into Whimsy for all their incredible classes and fantastic helpful artists :)

This place is amazing! All of the paintings are so cute and beautiful. The steps are really easy. They walk you through it. And you feel like you are getting to know the workers. If you go 3 times, then you know all of them. And of course refreshments and snacks. It's such a welcoming area. It may be a bit expensive, but I think it's totally worth it and the prices make sense if you see their artwork. I highly suggest you come here.

It's a lot of fun at this studio, while each instructor had a different style they can answer questions between each step which I thought was necessary with our class because a few details weren't mentioned just done on their canvas. I had to ask a few times how they did that style and they rushed the end. We'll go back, the atmosphere was lively and they didn't nit pick

I went with my mom and my mother in law back in August and it was so much fun! The evening class ran quite a bit later than I hoped, but I had wine so I was ok. I think they should have more options for wines since they charge extra for drinks, but that's my only complaint. I love my picture and I have it proudly displayed

This is one of my favorite things to do when I have a little extra time. Lindsey is absolutely fantastic at making art accessable to everyone. Definitely recommend.

Such a fun time! Christiana made it fun and did an awesome job teaching us some new (to us) techniques. Even with having little to no painting or drawing skills I still get to take home a piece of art that I made and am happy to display at home! Let's not glaze over the combination of sipping while painting making it more enjoyable and relaxing.

I always have the best time here! they are always so nice. and I have actually retained art skills! It's a great night out!

This studio is a great place for a kids party. They were very accommodating and made sure all had a great time.

I tried to call and speak with someone about my kids signing up for the painting class and the person who answered the phone was rude and didn't even let me finish my sentence. We were going to register our older son for the class, but won't be calling back there.

I had hours to kill and had no idea what to do until I came across this awesome studio. The walk in paint your own creation was amazing to me as not all of us painters have a good space. I will definitely be back for another walking, or even better, a class! I can't talk this place up enough! The owners and staff were super helpful and friendly.

Lindsey bell is the best. This is by far the best and most fun paint and sip that my wife has taken me to. I would recommend this to anyone anytime.

I have been a couple of times and really enjoyed. So much so that my kids, 9 and 12, were also excited to try it out. I bought them gcertificates. Even though they would lose their total purchase value at the end of month and I couldn't use them on kid's club I thought it was still worth it. They were so excited to sign up for a class only to find out that many classes are restricted 17 and up. Other classes they liked we couldn't use the Groupon. So, with the many many restrictions their choices are very limited. They are no longer excited to go to this places.

This was a great experience. Fellas if youre looking for a unique first date or maybe your lady deserves a date because you havent taken her out in a while... this is a winner. Grab dinner near by then head in a little early to start the party. Nice beverage selection. Instructors were fun and helpful. Pretty cool options on their calendar for what you'll be painting. Some bad reviews mention gift certificates and not the experience but our groupon was expired and they were able to help us out no problem

My sister gave us $150 in gift certificates for this place. I tried online repeatedly to use them with no luck. I called and the person I spoke to couldn't get it to work. Finally the owner called me back and she couldn't get it to work either! Then I find out that the gift certificates are only good for the seats and not the drinks. DO NOT PURCHASE A GIFT CERTIFICATE FOR THIS PLACE. It is not worth the hassle. My sis spent $150 and we will other get $135 of use. I have no desire to try and go through this hassle again.

Lindsey and Destiny are the bestest! Do you have any art skills? No? No problem! These ladies know how to walk you through the process so you can paint in ways you never thought possible. I've been here multiple times and have had nothing but amazing results! You need to come here!

Last time I was here with a friend I had such a good time. I was impressed with the fact that they had my favorite red wine and I really liked the break time to paint in between instruction it was fun and I paint a lot -but that time was nice to ask for extra help or chat with my friends. Definitely recommend

After two times going and having a fantastic evening both times, I think it's safe to say Whimsy is hard to beat! There are many choices out there, but for me having instructors that are talented, fun, witty, and genuinely love what they are doing is hard to beat! My kiddos had a blast and actually learned some cool techniques, they left with smiles that are priceless! Before the night was even over I was looking at the schedule to see what class I would be taking next and what friend I would be having a blast with! Thanks whimsy team, you all know what you are doing!

More about the bar than the painting. The staff started class late and ran over because they were more concerned about entertaining and continuing to serve those that were clearly already drunk than moving at a decent pace. The pictures are beautiful and staff are talented painters, but not good instructors. Save your money, watch Bob Ross.

Everyone was nice. Our instructor definitely knew what she was doing. It was A fun experience for everybody. Great for birthdays. I hope to go there again someday.

I have been to a number of these places around Denver and Boulder and I alway come back to this one. We always have fun and the staff is great

I absolutely love painting at Whimsy! Im usually a little worried that I won't end up with a painting I'm happy with, but the staff are so incredibly talented and make painting easier and way more fun. Their guidance throughout the whole painting is amazing and I would never be able to enjoy my paintings without them. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. Great selection of drinks and music! I can't wait to go back and paint again. Thank you team Whimsy for always making my experience so awesome.

This is truly the best place that I've heard of for a Paint and Sip. They are local artists, independently owned and operated, with unique products which are created by the staff. The owners are wonderful and incredible people who truly care for their craft and their customers.
I have gone here by myself, on dates, with family, and with my daughter, and will continue going here!
100/100 would highly recommend for all skill levels!

Whimsy online workshops are a great way to still be able to paint from home.

Painted Beachside Bliss. Very happy with how it turned out. PDF instructions were easy to follow.

I was very disappointed. My first time & the instructor was not very helpful & could not see much of what she was doing. I fell behind & did not follow her much after that. Then when I went to pay with my credit card she said it failed 2 attempts. She asked me if there is any problem or if I had reached my limit. Lol, lol, little does she know. I contacted my credit card company immediately after I left & not only did they tell me there is no problem with my card but they did not even show an attempt. They said it was a problem in their end. Never again.

I have been painting at Whimsy - Orchard for several years now and despite having done more that 50 painting I continue to learn more every time I go. I have gone from a novice free-hand painter that followed the instructions to the letter to a confident artist, who with the encouragement of their excellent instructor now puts my own flair on the class subject. Thank you to Lindsey at Whimsy for helping me grow as an artist. If you want to learn or just do something creative and have fun along the way, stop in; and with more and more new classes and techniques being offered there is always something to do.

My daughter and I went to Whimsy for the first time and we had a blast! It was a Thurs. night and there
were about a dozen people there. The instructors were very helpful and a lot of fun. We will definitely go back again and again!
