The name of the place is Children's Square funny how you never see kids out side anywhere.
Back in 1996 I was 15 years old when I was there. Now I am 35 years old. Great program! I often think about this place. Really changed my life for the better. I was an out of control teenager and was put in there by my parents, probation officer and courts. Program was suppose to take 18 months. I graduated in 6 months. Miss the staff.
I had a great experience there a couple years back. All the staff were nice and respectful
Love this place my kids have been going to daycare there for years
It was amazing. Place nice staff there they treat u good
I love this place good daycare very respectful and helpful
Great playground to bring kids 2 but I will never send my kids to the daycare again my daughter came home with a bite mark on her cheek on her first day. I was not notified and when I called her teacher I was given a additude.
Integrated Health Services is located in the Omni Center but very much a big part of Childrens Square. They have family support specialists, resource specialists and a RN at the IHS office. The clothing closet has helped tremendously especially when money is tight. They are never judgemental and are just a blessung for this city.
staff very welcoming. enjoyed my visit tremendously. learned a lot about the extensive services they provide to children in the State of Iowa. Wish them a very bright future.
I currently have a child here for PMIC care, I will change my rating if things improve. Communication between staff is iffy, the treatment case Mgr i have for my child doesn't return calls in a timely manner, my child feels as though that place is making them worse, not all staff are understanding or empathetic to mental health needs or affects of their clients. Therapists actually care and try to improve things for clients, as well as try to assure that the client is making progress. The nurses actually care and are there for the clients and aren't afraid to report inappropriate behavior or assist with any concerns or questions and willing to help get the best out come. Some staff are petty and write the clients up and give negative points towards levels as they see fit rather than give and take points accordingly. Some staff do not act as role models for how they wish clients to act.
A wonderful family service place, and school as well. The services they offer are such a huge help for my whole family, and the workers are truly vested in their commitment to offer the help your family is needing.
This place was a huge part of my childhood. I was kind of an angry emotional defiant kid. But I have more memories and good lessons learned from here than I thought I would back then. Of it were not for the amazing people who work there and go through so much for the kids and families that need them there would be more than likely a lot of people who would have have much worse lives
me and my siblings stayed at the emergency shelter for not even a day, and i personally really miss just being able to stay here. The staff was beyond nice and the kids are really well behaved. I really miss my roommate. I would go back here in a heart beat. This place was honeslty home it felt safe.
I didn't visit here but I broke my leg here 3 days before the 9/11 tragedy. My femur was clearly broke in half and they forced me to try and walk on it, didn't call an ambulance. I had to hold my own leg in a van while screaming in pain(worst pain ever and I've given birth 5 times) being told to shut up by the staff member. Once we arrived at the hospital i was left in the van for 15 minutes screaming and in shock before a nurse came out with a wheelchair and she screamed oh my god her leg is broken you didn't say that. I stayed in the hospital for 3 almost 4 months with a pin in my leg. 3 months in a body cast and wheel chair then crutches and I had to learn to walk again. I will never walk the same, I have a limp and two scars. My mom and dad couldn't find anyone to sue bc no one wanted to go up against the state even though the case was solid negligence. Not even my own family of lawyers wouldn't do anything to see justice served. This is my true story... A state run facility has procedures and they didn't follow protocol. I wish some how justice could be served. I will always have PTSD over this tragedy.
Helps kids grow and more misguided ones get back on the right path or find the right path for them
Since I have nothing good to say, I won't say anything more. I was raised that if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all
