Excellent opening for Inherent Structure, Spring abstract painting exhibit
Great facility, not fond of some of the methods they use but overall a decent experience.
Extremely lovely shows with a great mix of work. I went here for a fiber show a few years back and walked around for hours. I was amazed to see some of my favorite artists pieces like Sheila Pepe, Do-ho Suh, Sheila Hicks & Ernesto Neto. It was a breathtaking show!
Absolutely beautiful building with amazing helpful staff. Talked to one of the security staff there and he educated me on a lot of the different aspects on the building.
Staff was very kind and welcoming, everything was organized and the gift shop was exquisite. 5 stars for sure.
One of the best contemporary art venues in the country. First rate music, movies, theater and visual art exhibitions. The current Guggenheim show "Storylines" includes several artists who have had shows at the Wexner Center. I've seen everything from Picasso to Andy Warhol to shows that explored the relationship between technology and contemporary art. Truly a remarkable place.
Like the rotating exhibits vs. a fixed collection. Wexner personal art collection exhibit was excellent
Top-notch venue for modern and contemporary art on the Ohio State University campus
Small, but great exhibits. Parking in garages nearby, wheelchair accessible, cool gift shop and cafe inside.
Came here for multiple comedy shows, which may not be their foray but the place has no concessions or drinking fountains and the staff in not very friendly. Would much rather see a show at the Ohio or Palace
Great place to see the work of artists that exist or existed in our world. Quiet place to take in the exhibits. I would say that if you go to plan at least 3 hours if you take in the filmography media as these can run up to over an hour. Parking is available on campus near the oval off of high street.
Actually have yet to visit in person but cruised it on the web site and they have amazing subject matter, beautiful paintings, stills, all the above. I was very impressed.
While I love Columbus Museum of Art, I visit The Wexner Center much more frequently. Exhibits are always interesting, the space is beautiful, and I love visiting Heirloom cafe for a bite to eat when I visit The Wex.
The Wex helps make life in Columbus various and weird.
You can get in free on certain days which is nice. Its kind of small but they have a good variety of art that rotates. You can also get free guides that walk you through and then let you explore.
Found one of my favorite artists' books here quite easily, great collection, lovely spaces for talks given by visitors, cute little coffee shop inside
The Wexner Center is a good artistic venue. Diverse exhibits, a movie theater that screens independent films, plus an on-site restaurant.
This is another good art museum in Columbus. They have rotating exhibits, some are better than others. Last summer they had an exhibit featuring the comic artist Dan Clowes creator of "Ghost World." Really cool to see his pencil drawings up close. Another exhibit I really enjoyed featured Brazilian artists. Some neat stuff. A recent exhibit this past May featured Fiber Art. I'll be frank I didn't really like this. Just was not that impressive, but to each his own.
Needless to say, this place is pretty great with changing exhibits. There's pretty cheap parking nearby. If you are a student you can get in free with your college id. You can be a student at any college, not just OSU.
Went to see Me'shelle N'degeocello in a VERY cool lounge/stage area...great show, great crowd...went exploring the rest of the center...art is EVERYWHERE! Educational, informative, and fun place to take a date!
Remember, the building opens at 9 but...the museum doesnt open till 11!!!
I love this place my kids do too we had a lot of fun it's funny and the people are nice...
Rotate artwork a couple times a year, a must do if your a student since you get free entry. I saw some of the Picasso pieces in 2014.
A great place to see art exhibits and movies. Just make sure to find a seat up front as the seats aren't staggered well. A tall person in front can ruin your night. The cafe is not the best, but it is equal to most found in similar venues. Book store is great.
Pretty enjoyable. Great spot to randomly stop in with friends and check out. Pretty friendly guards.
I have been to several art museums but have never been treated so horribly as we were here last night. We were out celebrating our anniversary and felt incredibly unwelcome. From the guards following so closely behind us that I could reach out and touch them to the other guards who yell at you for pointing, it was such an uncomfoetable experience that we just left. I cannot believe I paid money to get treated like a little kid who can't be trusted to respect anything. I will never be visiting again. There are many art museums in Ohio that have better Arr and treat guests as they should: guests.
I have been there many times, and the food is consistently delicious, however the service is far less than spectacular. I have had quite a few bad experiences there. The food usually takes a long time, whether it is for there or to-go. On one occasion, the cashier greeted me, and then proceeded to carry on a conversation with a co-worker and ignored my questions that I was asking her. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. The manager (an older lady I believe) can also come off as very rude at times, and sometimes is assuming and offensive. But like I said, the food is good.
An amazing accent to the growing cultural hub that is columbus, ohio. From art to private screenings of Oscar Nominated Films the Wexner Center gives visitors a well rounded experience no matter the time of year.
Wish they did more with this place. It doesn't seem to have a defined purpose. Could be the next Moma if they wanted it to be.
Accesible, acomodating and highly educational. A valuable center for the arts!
The curating was disappointing as was the content. It's a cool space and there are some interesting things there. The bookstore had a good selection.
Love the movies through the year. Rare and classic (art) films. Nice to see them on the big screen.
The entire family loves this place! Always a great place on rainy weekends.
Spacious venue and close to 2 parking garages for easy access.
Stellar place for arts of all kinds. The Heirloom Cafe & bookstore are great, too.
One of the premier contemporary art centers in Ohio. The exhibit and preferences are consistently high quality and of world prominence. The structure itself still challenges people to seek a greater understanding of their relation to the arts. Top site on the OSU campus.
Always a great exhibition to be enjoyed. Definitely worth going to see what they have on offer every couple of months. The gift shop is a must as well.
Beautiful, amazing spaces displaying a wide and rotating and variety of art.
On the campus of OSU, a must if you are in Columbus...great art...inspiring...
Spacious venue and close to 2 parking garages for easy access.
I had been working in the basement of the former Long's Book Store [at 1836 N. High St.] while the Wexner Center for the Arts had been built during the late 1980s.
For the past thirty years, the Wexner Center for the Arts has hosted many innovative and high-quality art exhibitions, films, and performances.
Always something new in their collection - also a really interesting building/space
I would like to visit wexner Medical center for 3 month, would anyone offer me house informations?
