Westport Hotel Group Review

I was very impressed with the hotel. It was very good. Staff were very friendly and efficient . The food was so good the first night we decided to have dinner again the second night.

We had a lovely experience at the Westport Plaza hotel. Not only did we enjoy the surprise upgrade but all the extras staff had left in the room for our arrival. Will return!

Had a lovely time at the plaza, bedroom was lovely n clean n modern, food was fantastic, staff so helpful, there was even a Jacuzzi n the bathroom.wwill be going there again.

Waiter was terrible, food wasn't great. Nothing special about it.

Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Excellent location on very edge of town spacious bedrooms excellent restaurant, all the management and staff couldn't do enough for you. Fiona Gannon at reception is brilliant, more than helpful

We had a fantastic stay here recently for our anniversary. We upgraded to a gold package and had afternoon tea and dinner in the bar included. From the minute we arrived, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic room and afternoon tea and dinner were both really enjoyable. The hotel was within walking distance to the town which was huge bonus not to have to use the car. We used the thermal spa the following day, was so peaceful and relaxing. Couldn't fault our stay and we will definitely return. We rarely get time away together and the hotel was the perfect escape for us.

Oh having a fab chilled weekend, the Westport plaza is a fab hotel and have to give a big shout out to Fiona at reception, what service . Bar food fab, breakfast fab and waiting to hear into dinner which I know will be fab. Great hotel in walking distance from town.

Stayed for the first time last October and absolutely loved it - perfect room, perfect food, perfect atmosphere. The staff were genuinely friendly - return visit for this week, can't wait

Really enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. I find the Plaza one of the most relaxed and comfortable hotels to stay in, the Staff are very friendly and efficient the food in Restaurant Merlot is excellent and the Spa /Treatments are to a very high standard keep up the good work

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, staff is pleasant and professional, rooms are gorgeous.

Just finished dinner, excellent. From the moment we walked in the service and attention is exceptional. This personal touch is what makes ( in my opinion) this hotel one of Ireland's best hotels, and definitely my favourite.

Mixed review here. We celebrated our mums 80th birthday with afternoon tea and an afternoon in the Sula spa. The afternoon tea was great, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The sandwiches and cakes were lovely and fresh. Loads of pots of tea and coffee finished off with a chilled glass of prosecco. 5 stars so far. The spa however was totally overbooked and filthy. Our group of 8 were to have facials and massages and use the thermal spa between 3 and 5 pm. We were there at 2.45 for 3pm appointments but by the time the staff had forms filled out, enough room in the changing room, enough dressing gowns and flip-flops sorted it was 3.15. The massagist I had told me quite crossly that as I was late my 55 minute session was only going to be 25 mins and I could choose between a facial or a massage but not both. The massage was very relaxing. The chill out room had water, fruit tea or apples, no orange juice as indicated by the staff. The thermal spa was disgusting. The murky water of the outdoor jacuzzi hid, chipped and broken tiles, some kind of growth between the tiles and the water was tepid. The saltwater spray room wasn't working. The sauna was lovely and hot. The salt foot bath was cleaned by a member of staff using her hand to swipe the salt back into the bowl... End of clean up. Overall the thermal suite needs to be closed down for a thorough deep clean and repair. It is a pity because I had been to this spa about 18 months prior to this and was delighted with it then but I won't go again. Too many clients booked, too dirty and broken, staff too busy and cross. Not a good experience, such a pity as the afternoon tea had been so good.

Very disappointed ,firstly when we arrived I greeted the male receptionist with a friendly smile but he was like a robot not a bit friendly,we booked the golden suit when we got to our room there where 2 dirty wine glasses on a table with 2 cookies wrapped in paper bags .The shower you wouldn't see in a B& B ,cold water in the bath with lots of pubic hair ,anyway I won't go on but don't be fooled by the silver and gold rooms , we won't be back

This is a brilliant hotel.. wonderful spa...great friendly staff. Looking forward to the St Valentine's Day gala dinner tonight.

Enjoyed a 2 ngt stay here,room was great,clean and well catered for given covid restrictions.Very poor organisation of breakfast,cooked b'fast served at the table- but had to join in lengthy ques to get a glass of juice or toast!!!...just didnt make sense!!We were left sitting for quite a while before anyone let us know of any 'system' for ordering also...poor enough,but the food was great.

Excellent.. Stayed here for our 30th Wedding Anniversary.. Welcome Card and wine in our room on arrival.. Staff in the Restaurant were fantastic.. Food Fabulous.. Had a wonderful experience.. Thanks to Staff & Management... Will definitely be back..

Coveys Food is excellent staff are extremely helpful and genuinely friendly. They are also taking Covid seriously with ppe and constant sanitisation of tables etc

Hotel staff were wonderful! Nothing was too much bother. Very friendly and helpful. Had dinner in the plaza restaurant and it was superb! Lobby is a lovely place to hang out, meet friends and have a pot of tea. Fiona was very helpful and was very patient with us while taking our photos

This is my favourite hotel in Westport. Have stayed a few times and never disappointed. Rooms are of a very high standard and great staff

Always love staying in the Westport Plaza it's one of our favourite hotels to just chill out and enjoy what it has to offer. The rooms are lovely and the hotel itself is spotless. The spa is one of the best around. The food is amazing in both the bar and restaurant. One thing I noticed this time around is that the restaurant staff at both breakfast and dinner were not the most pleasant. They look stressed out, rushing around the place and a tad unmannerly. However it seems the same staff are on for breakfast in the restaurant, lunch in the bar and again in the restaurant that evening so I imagine they are just tired by the time it comes to serving dinner at night which is understandable. Maybe switching around shifts would help as I feel dinner is supposed to be relaxing for guests and I feel I didn't relax looking at them all running around the place looking stressed out. Saying that the food is amazing and I would definitely return. It's just something management may need to look in to. Overall a lovely couple of days away as always.

Top class hotel. Food good and smiling staff. Lovely large bedrooms and I loved the Jacuzzi in the ensuite.

Excellent beds, I love a good nap. Very handy underground car park. Staff are friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced restaurant and drinks. You also have access to a fancy spa (for a price) bit the pool is included.

Great hotel and Michael the barman really helpful and knowledgeable.

Had a very pleasant weekend in the Westport Plaza hotel. The hotel has an ideal location in the town. All the staff were very friendly and attentive and room facilities good too. The food in their Merlot restaurant is very good and they were very kind to me on my birthday!

What can I say only a special Thank you to Both Westport Plaza and Castlecourt hotels. On our annual family gathering for 2020 we choose both hotels. We were so well looked after from the staff in the group bookings department when trying to match our needs, to the reception staff when we were leaving the hotels. It was so easy for us, accommodation, food, entertainment, all superb. And the real 5 Star REVIEW goes to the staff.
Take a bow everyone.

Our 1st time to stay here & will definately come again. Spotlessly clean, lovely staff & so happy with our (Silver) room.

This place is fab stayed over night and had a spa and dinner after. Highly recommend.staff are lovely very attentive.spa staff were just lovely and place is very well run. Only complaint I had that the house keepers started knocking on our door at 9.30 and did so 4 times after even though we had till 12 to leave, very annoying as the kept opening the door and checking had we left (rude). Otherwise I will stay again

Nice hotel with car parking - short walk to town and shops.

Requested a quite room.got a connecting room with 5 people next door,had a disco pounding for 2 nights.breakfast less than average.room appears dull with dark brown curtains x wine collie duvet.

I could not recommend this hotel highly enough, the staff were amazing, they were helpful and beyond helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in westport. The food was also amazing and we had a great dinner on the saturday night. I can't wait to go back :)
