I sent over ₱80,000 to someone in CH. I learned a day that the transfer was refunded because the receiving bank did not accept the funds, yet I received no email about the failed transaction. Since the 15th of September, I have been calling and chatting with Western Union CS, begging them to expedite the refund because this is a medical emergency. I was told 5 to 7 business days, then given the same scripted replies every day. I was promised call-backs that never came. I even waited two hours under the sun for a promised call and walked 20 minutes to find a signal, only to be ignored again. This is not a small amount. It's over ₱80,000. It is my own money, and it was my patient’s lifeline. The lack of compassion, transparency, and urgency is unacceptable. Please act with integrity. Notify customers immediately when a transfer fails. Provide a clear status, a trace, and a firm timeline, and process urgent cases with real priority. No one should have to experience what I did.

I have dollars sent to me by WU. When I ask the local outlets here if I can have the dollars sent to me, they would say they don't have dollars, they can only give it in peso equivalent. The catch is that their exchange rate is quite low. Seems to me they're luring you to have the peso equivalent instead so the can earn from their low exchange rate. A cunning scheme. They should be reported to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
My sister had a really bad experience ( and is very recent ) last week only!!!! She sent money ( a pretty large amount one ) from the Philippines to London Unfortunately, the money has been received BUT NOT from the right receiver! For that, my sister went to the same WU the day after,where she sent the money, she asked for some details about the person who picked-up the money , but yet, all they can provide her was the Address!!!! How can that be possible??? Knowing that western union has a very strict regolation when it comes to receiving the money transfer!!!!! It's been 7 days already and yet, we don't have any updates!!!!
