Unless you absolutely have to live in Westdale own...

Unless you absolutely have to live in Westdale owned apartments because you have no other option, I'd suggest you look elsewhere. I have lived in my current apartment since March 2018 and my bathroom has had to be fixed 6 different times and sometimes for the same issue that wasn't fixed correctly in the first place. Currently, I am once again waiting for my bathtub/shower to be fixed. It has been a week and the repairs still haven't been scheduled because of the people above my apartment's management. I was told a contractor has to come by the complex, create a bid, management will send that bid to corporate, corporate has to approve it, then they will finally schedule something only God knows when. I have had to have my tile replaced 3 times, my bathtub replaced, the ceiling repaired because of a leak, the area surrounding the tub has been re-caulked twice, and now this will be the 4th time the tile has been re-done. The best part is that the tile that has been replaced isn't even installed correctly and it's not matching the other tile either. The bathtub wasn't installed correctly so it is now rusted because all the water doesn't drain after being used. Westdale clearly does not take pride in their property since they hire the absolute cheapest company to ""repair"" things without insuring any of the work is done correctly. There is no moisture barrier between the tile and the wall so I'm sure this will continue to be an issue until I move. Also, the tile in my bathroom and kitchen is starting to come apart in pieces because that wasn't installed correctly either. Right now I have been without my shower cumulatively for 3 weeks in the past month yet I am paying full rent. Once my lease is up, I will be moving elsewhere and making sure anyone I know steers clear of any and all Westdale properties.

I honestly do not even know where to start.
I would LOVE someone who is actually higher up in management to contact ME. I have a HUGE complaint over managnent and way of treat. I do not understand how unethical these "property managers" are i NEED TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME A GOOD CONTACT NUMBER !!!!

One star is as low as I could go it doesn t deserve any stars. I live at The Parks on Preston. I have had issues since the day I moved in from bugs nesting in the back of the refrigerator to the carpet not being cleaned when I moved in. I ve sent notices about issues by certified mail to the complex and management company to no avail. This last month I have been dealing with urine being pour over the balcony above landing on mine. I can t keep anything on my balcony and essentially I am paying to not use it and have my patio chairs in storage. I have contacted the office on several occasions and it hasn t been resolved. This is a health issue and the management at this complex don t seem to understand that. I am so ready to get out of this place and deal with a complex and management company that cares about its tenets. The management company and stated that someone from the office will get in touch with me, it s been several month still no contact. At this point any contact will not resolve issues my lease is up in 48 days and would never renew or use any apartments associated with this management company. I can see that property managers and management think along the same lines. Beware of who you are giving your hard earned money to.

Just don t. In 13 years of renting I ve never dealt with such lack of customer service or care. From viewings, to application process, to major maintenance issues. You for some reason get the slumlord approach. They are inconvenienced with you every step of the way. Whether you re a student starting out or have great credit, rent history and income, they ll treat you like you owe them.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. Dealing with the management staff at deep ellum lofts has got to be the poorest experience I've ever had in customer service, period. And in the few times I have reached out to Westdale for assistance, I have gotten nothing in response. This greedy company does not deserve the hard-earned money of anyone hoping to experience any semblance of decency from their management staff.

I have had issues with this place from the very be...

I have had issues with this place from the very beginning, I ask questions and I am told one thing and then another. I thought that everything was situated and getting better but . I received an email stating that I owe 107 dollars because I was an hour late on rent? I was having issues with my bank and the payment processed on the 4th at 1:00 am. I was told from the beginning that as long as it s paid before the hours of business after the 3rd you will not be charged a late fee. I am highly disappointed as I am a good paying renter and we are a quit family living around loud neighbors, gates not working properly half the time, people always in and out of your apartment dragging in dirt etc but I have never once complained until now. You should really treat your renters a tad bit better.

I can kick myself for not looking at these reviews prior to my dealings with these folks. The application process has been horrendous. No callbacks, asking for different information , not clear on what to expect, my date was one date but then changed and again no communication. I had movers set up and service etc. (it's not a breeze moving into a new place). The tour was great, but when it comes to delivering Westdale and The Hamilton are not meeting expectations. I would definitely not recommend the Hamilton or any property that Westdale manages. Good luck filling up that place :)

This 1 star is specifically for Janet Lyle's "vinegar over honey" attitude.

When YOU are in the wrong YOU should not be giving attitude. Having atleast an apologetic tone would be a great start.

Horrible experience I would not recommend living in an apartment owned by them. The customer service is awful and it s extremely hard to get in touch with anyone. Can t wait to move out of my apartment because I am sick of dealing with these people.
