Love the old cinema charm. However, if you are looking for the modern haute cinema experience with lattes and reclining seats, this is not the place. Easy to get to but no parking lot. Nice old style concession stand with bare movie essentials. Very charming and cozy if you like that sort of thing.
Wonderful Theater! This place is the best. The only complaints I ve seen on this is that it s cash only- have no fear! They ve upgraded since then. Card AND VENMO are accepted! Cheap tickets, great experience. For true movie lovers. the guy who runs it is also a really nice guy. Def my favorite theater
I really liked this cinema - it has a very cozy feel and David is super friendly. Good popcorn, lots of snack selections as well as a good beverage selection (the usual sodas and also a nice selection of teas). The picture quality was good, sound system was also good and the seats were comfortable. The upper level has stadium-style seating while the lower level has traditional-style seating.
Great old school theater, great feel, love the ambience of this place! I'm new as a patron here but they seem to always be playing old movies which I love! Recently they've played Casablanca, Citizen Kane, The Maltese Falcon, and my favorite movie of ALL TIME - 2001: A Space Odyssey!! Popcorn is very good, all prices on concessions are very reasonable, especially if you consider what you would pay at any other contemporary theater. Since being a new moviegoer here I've seen 4 movies the past 3 weeks and will continue to visit this unique landmark!!
My favorite local movie theater. Used to go here with my family all time time. Running a little rusty, but the sentiment is there.
Great old cinema. I'm a film junkie that drove all the way from Pembroke because it was one of about 2 open theaters in the state. Lol
This theater takes you back in time without the fancy interiors, $15 popcorn and overcrowded seating. Good list of films and also offers children theme films on weekends. Parking is challenging in this area so be early and expect to circle around the block a few times.
West Newton Cinema is a wonderful local move theater. Great place to take in a movie and enjoy one of the terrific dining spots around town. The painting was done by local artist, Gene Mackles.
Unique place with amazing non-commercial atmosphere
